Snowmonster–Well said.The history of the Middle East is the history of weak countries paying tribute to stronger ones.The fact is, according to their logic, they should be paying tribute to the U.S.seeing as how we could blow them off the face of the world.
We should demand the execution of Badawi and nothing less.And forget about the 20 million.

How much advance notice did we give them before “We were able to physically confirm today the presence of Jamal Badawi at a prison in Aden,”

When I first heard that he was in “custody”, my first thought was that they had merely claimed to have him under house arrest.

The fact that Yemen is coddling a known member of Al Qaeda (reduced a death sentence first to 15 years and now this?) strongly suggests their loyalties lie elsewhare, and that they are playing the US for a bunch of dupes.

Now that Yemen has “confirmed” al Badawi is in custody, they’ll get that $20 million US grant and funnel the money as tribute to Al Qaeda.

I concur. When dealing with terrorists, this is the only way to ensure that they will no longer be a threat.

Once you get lawyers and sympathetic governments involved with these murderers, their chances of getting away with their “jihadist” activities increase exponentially.

Unfortunately, there are too many people out there who refuse to acknowledge the threat for what it is. When thugs and murderers are foolishly classified as victims because of ignorance, deceit and naivete, we all pay the price.
