Project Valour IT update: Marine Team is in first place

By Michelle Malkin  •  October 30, 2007 10:40 AM

Update 10:48am Eastern. HEY! The Army team has taken a slight lead. Chip in now and reclaim first! I’m gonna keep cracking the whip.

***

After the first day of fund-raising for Project Valour IT, the annual fund-raising drive to provide voice-activiated laptops to disabled troops, the Marine Team–of which I am a proud member–is in first place.

Thanks to all the readers so far who have risen to the challenge and chipped in.

Now, what about the rest of you?

And, hey, wouldn’t it be nice to see more left-wing blogs on the roster of Project Valour IT members?

Where are they?

In addition to my donation yesterday, I will chip in another $25 for each left-wing blogger, up to 10 total, who signs up today. Send me an e-mail and let me know which team you’ve joined.

Support the troops? Actions speak louder…

Go Marine Team!

I don’t have a dog in this fight, but I do have money on all the participants.

I will say Team Marines are getting the most out of their contributors.

One bit of housekeeping from the fine folks at Blackfive (yeah, they’re doing the Team Army thing, but I’ve double-checked the info); the Chip-It widgets are no longer valid. The new ones are here -

It feels go to give…plus it’s rewarding to know that the most successful type of charities comes from private donations from the community and not the misappropriation of funds into government social welfare programs. The free market continually explifies exactly why it is superior to any socialist agenda…

On Drudge this morning is a story about Hollywood loosing money on all the “war on terror” movies with a lefty skewed version of why..war weary..etc. In the comments section at last count there were over 400 comments that will knock your socks off..I issued a challenge to them to send the money they won’t spend going to these movies to Valour-IT…go check out the posts there…gives you faith that Americans have not given up on their military or their mission!
