I have also had it out here in Idaho. Except for the local Air Force Base most of the economy is Agricultural and you can guess how many folks we have here that are less than legally in this country. I stood at the front of the line today in the downtown branch of my Credit Union while 4 tellers were trying to communicate with a Spanish only speaking man. Then I guess they couldn’t see me (I’m only 5’5” and must have blended with the background I guess I’m better at camouflage then I thought). About two minutes later I was finally helped when two retired gentlemen entered the branch. The retired guys pointed me out as being first in line. Good thing I do most of my business with them on base or I would pull my account. The staff at the base branch only speaks English and understand how to provide good customer service. I’m still fuming about selecting Spanish or English on the ATMs.

And of course, Bloomberg mentions his gun nanny stance four times when that's not even the topic at hand.

The bottom line is we should be giving driver’s licenses to people knowing who they are ...

This could mean that he approves of "bringing them out of the shadows" so we know who they are through amnesty before giving them licenses.

Or as in Mexinois, he may approve of "new Americans" having licenses, but not officially recognize the term "illegal immigrant."

Bloomberg ain't a Republican and I wish he'd stop saying he is. Second, after losing a driver's license at O'Hare last year and knowing I needed another to get back on another flight the following week, I ran over to the mall DMV and walked out 20 minutes later with a 3-D photo driver's license. But except for the incredibly adept local bureaucrats, my 15-minute commute, the acreage, this is a terrible place to live. Don't bother checking it out. It's absolutely terrible. Keep moving.

Why do these mayors keep inviting illegals that are criminals to our cities? If you were a fugitive from south of the boarder where would you go? Why is that so hard to understand??!!! I thought our leaders were supposed to make decisions that kept us safe not invite peril. I guess its "No vote is too costly!" if you are a democrat or weak, suck-up republican.

I keep getting this nagging suspicion that trusting big city Mayors with immigration law enforcement is a bad idea.

Character and moral issues with them is like playing whackamo.

They try to knock down one immigration issue and what they really meant pops up somewhere else.

Bloomberg joined the GOP because he could not get a Democratic nomination for mayor and indeed quit not too long ago to become an independent. When he first came out against the Spitzer proposal, Spitzer called him ethically and morally wrong. Now, the rumor mills have it, Bloomberg plans to challenge Spitzer in 2012. Not only is he more publicly tactful than Spitzer, his fortune is at least 10 times that of the governor.

Hows-za-bout,
all illegals must register for an "illegal card" finger printed DNA'ed and put in the system.
If they are caught without one i.e. breaking a law, immediate deportation (no exceptions).
Why for the love of pete would anyone with half a brain want to let them drive without registration or insurance (in most cases)? STOP THE MADNESS!
When applying for this illegal card they can start a process to becoming a legal citizen with some grasp on English!

This just burns me up.
I remember when I first moved to NJ and tried to get my license switched from PA to NJ (I know from the frying pan into the fire :-) ). The NJMVC is the most incompetent motor vehicle dept., I every visited. I received nothing but one roadblock after another.

My PA license was under my maiden name and I was applying for the NJ license under my married name. You would have thought that I posited a question on string theory...all I wanted to do was change the name on my license! I don't know how many different booths I had to go to before some idiot said that my marriage license, birth certificate and SS card weren't enough to get the name changed. My social security number was still under my maiden name but according to their instructions, I didn't need my SS card to reflect my marriage named...my marriage license was supposed to suffice. Needless, to say I had to leave on that day and come back with the SS card under my married name.

Lo and behold, the second trip turned out to be fruitful, I didn't even need my SS card in order to change my name on my license just as I suspected.
The point I am trying to make is, a US citizen with proper documentation had to go through the wringer.
Yet, an illegal alien with a note from mommy can get a license, no questions asked! There is something very wrong with our current state of affairs.

McCain, comes to mind too as a RINO. It is time to let the Republicans know that we are the 'Conservative' Party; and kindly stand for these 'conservative' principles or you don't get our vote!

Southern California is a mess, I can't go anywhere without thinking I am in Mexico, as english is not spoken often here anymore. Anarchy at its best, disobey the Federal Laws and allow people to come and stay illegally, can I decide which laws I want to obey? Cause I'm needin' some money.
