I get sick every time I see some aging hippie, yuppie and baby, open-borders zealot, or college punk sporting a Che shirt–or some clueless corporate retailer making a buck off of Che chic.
The Young America’s Foundation is tired of it, too. They’ve put out a poster for Freedom Week this week illustrating the victims of Che Guevara, using the moonbat iconic image of the mass murderer. Via the WashTimes:
One of the most famous faces of communism is getting a makeover this week, with a new poster designed to teach students the whole story about Cuban revolutionary icon Ernesto “Che” Guevara.
“The Victims of Che Guevera” poster, produced by the Young America’s Foundation, centers on a collage that uses tiny photos of those killed by Cuba’s communist regime to compose the face of the Marxist guerrilla, who has become a popular T-shirt icon.
“Che is one of the heroes that the left idolizes,” said Patrick X. Coyle, vice president of YAF. “But a lot of kids don’t know anything about him. We thought this would be a great way to highlight his atrocities.”

I believe the YAF “che” poster was originally designed for Humberto Fontova’s lecture series in the University circuit as part of The 29th annual National Conservative Student Conference where he talked about his latest book “Exposing the Real che guevara and the Useful Idiots Who Idolize Him”. (I believe you may have met him or heard him lecture sometime this past year.) The photographs used for the image are real, most gathered from Cuban exiles who lost family members at the hand of the Butcher of La Cabaña himself.
I cant even begin to tell you just how much pain che guevara caused to so many. It isn’t just those that he systematically killed, but the wives he widowed and children he orphaned, the parents who sons and daughters were executed. che’s been dead for forty years but in many cases, the families of his victims are still feeling the grief and anguish and certainly, Cuba is still suffering from the disease of a regime he helped instill.

I’m glad to see Che getting his come-uppance, but I suspect that the brain-dead zombies of the left won’t “get it.”
And those that do will remain in denial.
The question I have, is will cafepress sell them?
I travel a lot and see Che shirts, truck mud flaps, etc in Thailand, various countries in Africa and of course South America. My guess is most of the people sporting them or the trucks with the mud flaps don’t have a clue.
I also lived in central Colombia for 20 years and saw first hand what “revolutionaries” do. Murderous thugs all. Heroes? Negativo!
Whenever I see people with one of those Che shirts I just ask them if their Hitler shirt is dirty today.
Why? Surely that is the delicious irony of it – people making lots of dirty capitalistic profit from his image!
I partly agree with Sausage. I love the idea that a pic of a socialist is making money for capitalism…
But I hate the idea that it has lead some to nearly worship the man.
I’d trade the irony for a decline in worship any day.
I frequently see the addle-brained twit college student or twenty/thirty-something noob stretching themselves to be relevant here in Boulder. Whether donning a Che tee-shirt or carrying a book bag with an oppressor-nation’s flag symbol on it, I want to smack them in the head and say WAKE-UP! Of course, they’re too busy being cool and reveling in their antidisestablishmentarianism to understand truly what they’re doing.

College – the institution of higher learning. What are they teaching some of these young minds? I agree with georgej, even if you “educated” them, they would remain in denial.
As for retailers, I just walk away if I see anything resembling his image – until now. I suppose there are, and will always be, Che worshipers like there will be people who still deny the holocaust and think Hitler was right and just.
I am proud to say that I and my family are on the right side of the Che issue.
These people have no idea who Che was, much less what he stood for, in reality. They have some basic idea and that’s it. It would be the same sporting a Hitler shirt, since he was against the “oppressors” (Jews) too. It’s just the idea that he was against oppressors, like Pol Pot, that is all they know. I remember myself at that young age, and just shake my head. They’ll grow out of it, as some other issue will take their time.
Given the lefts complete inability to see how things are connected, I’m sure they have looked at the t-shirt with the phrase “…useful idiots…” saw the word “useful” and then thought – “oh how nice”.
As far as them not understanding what Che stands for – these same people still think the Islamists are only fighting for freedom (as opposed to dominion)

The issue regarding account login, would seem to be related to the YAF site. Each time I click the link I am logged in under a different name. I click my account(which is showing, should it?) and I get an address and phone number. There is not a default position when you click the “here” link from Michelle Malkin, where you are directed to open a new account if you haven’t opened one yet. I was just interested in posters and or merchandise. I’ve linked from the “here” link 3 times and been logged in as three different people. This situation is inevitable if you try to put a poster or something in your shopping cart which the site offers you the option to do. However by logging out I was able to open a new account and start over. I’m afraid I’m just not web savy enough to diagnose this.
I STRONGLY recommend reading Fontava’s book which shows what a sickening monster Che was, signing the death warrants on 1892 men, women, pregnant women, and boys. When Che killed his first man, he wrote a letter home to dad saying how much he loved killing people. What a sick and evil bastard.
A distraught mother came to La Cabana prison where Che set up his murder shop and begged for her teenaged son’s life. He heard her out, picked up the phone, ordered her boy shot THAT NIGHT, and slammed the phone down. He played this sadistic game on several mothers. He was a little man who thought he could become big by crushing others. When crowds of mothers and wives, sisters and daughters came to La Cabana to see their doomed loved ones, Che set his guards on them with clubs.
When misguided lefty lawyers came to Cuba to help the revolution by assembling evidence against the accused, Che told them that he would shoot them today and try them tomorrow. Evidence was a bourgeois artifact, Che said. “We execute from revolutionary conviction!”
The verdicts of trials were posted on the schedules in the courtroom where they were to be heard. The same grieving mother in black fingered accused man after accused man as the Batista criminal who killed her son.
After sending a few hundred victims to the wall to be shot, Che saw the waste of all that spilled blood and began harvesting it for profit. He had condemned people stop on the way to the wall to have their blood drawn, a lot of it. Some of it went to local hospitals and some of it was sold to North Vietnam. While Che was pocketing the profits from his victim’s blood, he was publicly castigating American capitalists for being capitalist bloodsuckers.
Che’s victim’s were buried in mass graves. The cemetery was ordered by Che not to notify the families of the dead until three days after they were buried. They were not told where they were buried and they were forbidden to visit the cemetery. They were also forbidden to memorialize their loved ones at home, their places watched by the local revolutionary committees, the network of informers set up in every communist control to maintain control of the population.
The irony of these brain-dead hippies worship of Che is that they would be the first ones Che would have shot or imprisoned in his regime. One of the first things Che did after attaining power was to outlaw rock ‘n’ roll music, which Che considered decadent Yankee music. You could go to prison for playing it. The Cuban dissidents called it “midnight music” because that’s the only time you could safely play it, and you had to play it low so that the local revolutionary committee member didn’t hear you and denounce you.
Che also hated long hair and blue jeans, which he considered contrary to revolutionary morality. Che wanted the youth to blindly obey the Party leaders, to happily give up their weekends to work in the fields, all the while singing revolutionary songs and chanting revolutionary slogans. Literally. Che wanted all the young to be drones in a Cuban commie hive. Individuality is a crime, Che said.
Che’s thugs would round up kids with long hair, jeans, listening to rock ‘n’ roll and put them in prison under a new law against behavior indicating a trend toward criminality. At best, being a hippie in Cuba would buy you a stint in jail and some beatings, maybe a long sentence in the Cuban gulag being worked to death.
Some hippies were simply shot on the spot by Che’s goons who would have their death certificates attribute the cause of death to traffic accidents. A mortician in Havanna who later escaped says that most of the traffic accident victims who came to his funeral home had bullet wounds.
Che came to speak at the United Nations to speak and made no secret about Cuba executing people and defended the necessity of it. He also freely spoke about the need to destroy the US. That made him the toast of the radically chic in New York, who hosted him in their penthouses.
While he was being feted, Che had multiple plots in progress to destroy New York which were discovered and defeated. One plot was to plant big bombs in all the major department stores – Macy’s, Gimble’s, etc – the Friday after Thanksgiving, the biggest shopping day of the year. They would have been full of women and children. Che would have been the Bin Laden of the ’60s had it succeeded. Nothing so neatly illustrates the masochistic treasonous stupidity of the Left than pouring champagne and serving hors d’oeuvres to a murderous revolutionary mass murder who wanted to blow them and their children into bloody chunks.
Che was a stinking commie. Literally. His revolutionary comrades would comment that he reeked. Che just didn’t bathe. Even when he went to Africa on an ill-fated attempt to stir up revolution there, the natives complained that Comrade Che did not go down to the river to wash.
Che was a book burner, thug, tyrant, coward, sadist, thief, and a serial murderer. The lefty worship of him demonstrates their own ignorance, masochism, anti-democratic character, and self-destructive compulsion.

MSN.com reports that she will no longer sign contracts paid in US Dollars, which have depreciated badly in the last year.
When a “Che” flaunting super model starts playing the currency market, you can be sure the US Dollar has bottomed and is on the way back up.

A coupe of years ago I went out west for the wedding of my cousin’s young daughter. Imagine my surprise when I met her future husband named Che wearing a, you guessed it, Che t shirt. I almost hurled. Truly spoiled the wedding for me. Now they have a daughter with a femanised Che name Che’la. Poor child! But why should I expect more they live in Oregon.

Fontava makes the point that commies are losers. Fidel was a failed lawyer, Che a failed doctor, their goons street scum. There is no record of Che ever graduating from the medical school he claimed to attend. His claim to be a doctor appears to be one of Che’s many lies, an attempt to get respect he never earned.
Tyrants are often losers who gain by cunning and ruthlessness the success they were not smart enough to earn. Hitler was a failed painter. Himmler a failed chicken farmer. Heydrich was a failed naval officer.
The irony between the two stories is perfect. What would Che think of her capitalist manipulation of the currency values? Reminds me of Cameron Diaz walking around with the Mao bag. It boggles the mind that these twits do not understand that their lifestyles (and quite possibly their lives) would come to a quick and painful end under either of these murderers.

I am BEGGING you to read Humberto Fontova’s book, “Exposing the Real Che Guevara: And the Useful Idiots Who Idolize Him.” You’ll read everything I said above and a LOT more. It’s an easy read and very dramatic. Make it your lunch project for a week. When you are done, you will be armed with the intellectual ammo to lay waste to the Che cultists. What could be more fun than that?

As a die-hard Pats fan, I’m ashamed that Tom Brady let Giselle wear that murderer-emblazoned bikini.
But it’s not surprising that people only know lies about Che. I live in Boston, and up here, explaining that he was a murderer and not worthy of worship provokes a reaction similar to if you said something bad about Jesus. Or, if you’re in San Francisco, said something bad about Michael Moore.
Tantor, Fontova’s book has been on my must-read list for a while. I’ll get to it eventually. Glad to hear it’s as good as I hoped it was.

I have a reasonably good working knowledge of what Che did. There are other sources. It’s just not my personality to go up to complete strangers and get in their face with a verbal altercation. It would be fun for you but is not something I would do. It’s who I am. However, a short, sweet synopsis of Che’s evil doings would be very convenient thing to just hand them. If nothing else I wouldn’t feel so aggravated when I see them. Maybe they will toss it, but maybe it will make them stop and do a little research about him. Either way, I feel better and can concentrate on other things for the rest of the day.
My family exchanges names for Christmas and my very liberal neice got my name. I think I’ll put Fontova’s book on my list.
As for Gisele, I think she should take that offensive bikini off Right now!

A conservative does not need to get in the face of a liberal to make his point. Since liberals think the personal is political, they wear their politics on their sleeves and will eventually get in your face with their nonsense. What I advocate is to play alligator and wait to ambush them when they do so. You won’t need to wait long. Since most of them simply parrot what their liberal friends say with knowledge of the subject which is bumper sticker thin, it is pretty easy to route them in confusion with a pithy rebuttal. Che is one of those subjects where the lefties are teeing themselves up for a hard smackdown.
I have given up trying to explain the problem with a liberal’s logic to a true liberal. I’m reserving my energy for the next generation, most of whom are still interested in exploring the world around them and the different points of view that exist.
The true liberals have simply concluded that the only reason there is war, poverty and injustice is because people like me have been allowed to live and breed.
