Over the years I have come to believe that the good people of MA are smarter than we give them credit for. They re-elect Kennedy and Kerry over and over. I think the reason is because when Congress is in session, their mothers, sisters and daughters are safe. As for Kerry, the general IQ is significantly raised…
yes, after looking at the picture of waterboarding it doesn’t look like torture to me, cause i distinctly remember getting that feeling while swimming in our pool a few times as a child from my older brother.
also, that was a big mistake giving people a visual. it doesn’t have the ‘look’ of torture. and, once again they have to hire an actor to experience it for the crowd. giving people a visual means those of the people with a fair amount of reasoning can decide for themselves.
so if pinkos give us an example of ‘torture’ doesn’t that mean that it really isn’t that bad or why proivde a ‘live’example. surely, the act itself if truly horrific should not have been committed? I MEAN IT IS TORTURE…. right? what were they thinking? it is wrong for our soldiers or cia to do waterboarding cause it is torture. and to prove it we are going to waterboard this actor!! where is the logic or reason it that? oh.. right.. were talking about code pinko’s and the libs..
I don’t know the specifics of waterboarding, but what I hear is iffy at best. But in the end its use was limited to three times before 2003, and hasn’t been used since. That from the CIA issued last week.

Well, if our soldiers were half as rabid as the protestors were during their waterboarding event, I would say I do not blame people for not liking waterboarding. There are no such rabid soldiers (notwithstanding TNR).

Doesn’t seem like waterboarding can be called torture is these idiots are willing to do it to themsevles and their friends. Would they agree to have their fingernails pulled out or have their heads put in vices like we’ve seen in Al Qaeda manuel? I’m guessing no.
…and how are these pinkos still allowed to be at these hearings? You’d think that whomever is inviting them would get at least some bad P.R. for causing these hearing to be continually disrupted.
I assume that the one demonstrating the water boarding was OK and survived without permanat harm. It just prooves that it is not torture. If you want a clue into what torture is, read “When Hell was in Session” by Jeremiah Denton.
If “waterboarding” was truly torture, then (1) why would anyone voluntarily go through it; and (2) why haven’t the “torturers” been arrested, and charged with the crime of torture?
Let’s substitute a real act of torture, such as pulling out fingernails, or shoving bamboo splinters under the fingernails, and get volunteers to under-go that…what, no takers?

I’ve wondered the motivation behind the lefts objection to Mukasey as AG and the demand that he declare waterboarding illegal. I think I’ve come to a logical conclusion as to why the hysteria.
Simply put, if he declares waterboarding illegal the democrats could then introduce impeachment proceedings against the president.
Just think! The brand new AG declares waterboarding illegal. The president is accused of waterboarding terrorists. The new AG has just accused the President of the United States of committing an illegal act. What more could the moonbats ask for?
That’s just my opinion.

BrianNY clearly enjoyed a privileged upbringing. Growing up in California, my cousins typically waited for the A&W Root Beer or RC Cola before letting fly with the hilarity. That, my friend, is torture.
I don’t trust him regarding his answer on waterboarding. As a Christian nation, we must take a firm stance against the unAmerican practice of torture. I fear we are on the wrong track as a nation. I will pray for Mr. Mukasey.
The knuckleheads in the picture are doing the water boarding all wrong. In USAF Survival School it was explained the object of torture (usually a downed American Airman) was placed on a board with their legs elevated over their head (about a 450 degree angle) with a wet piece of cloth over your mouth and nose and then you were doused with water. Ask John McCain he could probably help them out and share with these losers how his arms were pulled behind his back until his elbows meet (usually resulted in dislocating the shoulders) tied together and then you were lifted up from a hook in the ceiling all the way to the top and then dropped on the pavement floor (a real favorite at the Hanoi Hilton). These spoiled little lunatics need a real lesson in what it’s like to be tortured. I volunteer to help them!

On that note, the vote was 218-194 against tabling, so the bill goes to the Judiciary committee, effectively kills the bill. It will sit there and gather moss. So it is indeed something else the Dems didn’t get done. LMAO.
