Islamophobe (is-slahm-o-fohb) - A non-Muslim who knows too much about Islam.

Islamophobia is a fear of losing life or liberty to Islamic rule merely because the laws, sacred texts, and modern practices of Islam demand the submission of culture, politics, religion and all social expression. It tends to afflict those most familiar with the religion, while sparing the more gullible.

So exactly how are we supposed to question these scumbags? Are we supposed to just ask nicely and when they refuse to tell us anything, we are to pat them on their little poopers and apologize for bothering them?

If there was a nuke planted in New York, we had the guy who planted it in custody and he wasn't talking, would these idiots really allow millions of people to be vaporized all because we don;t want the mythical "stain" of "torture" on our hands?

That is just plain sick if you ask me. I say do whatever it takes to make each and every one of them talk. If nothing else, maybe it will have a deterrent effect, making those who are will ing to die for their cause thinkk twice about having to endure a fate far worse and far more painful.

After all, what good is the threat of prison to one willing to strap bombs to his body and blow himself and hundreds of women and children up with him in the name of his false god and the promise of sexual gratification? (if you consider eternity with virgins to be sexually gratifying).

And there remain those who say something like waterboarding is "torture" and wrong in any scenario.

To refuse to use a psychological procedure that does not result in physical injury or death to prevent the outright slaughter of innocent children insane.

And any elected representative who would stand in the way of using waterboarding or similar technique to thwart such an attack is complicit in every death and injury that occurs as a result of such a henious act.

I signed up for an account on Digg when you asked your readers to do so. I stopped commenting on Digg because I couldn't stand the ridiculous remarks and belittling arguments made by leftists on that site. I read your blogs and articles every day. I've submitted them to digg on many occasions. I praise your diligence at your work. I know I wouldn't be able to take the BS being aimed at me all the time. Too much negativity.

This story is typical of one that will be ignored by the MSM and that I probably would not have heard about if it weren't for you. So, I thank you. Especially for putting up with the negativity that follows from the leftist sites like digg.

I signed up for comment priveledge here so I wouldn't have to deal with that digg negativity... I guess I didn't realize that it, like a progressive, contagious disease attacking a healthy, beautiful child, will seep into any little opening possible and begin to infect even the most noble and well-meaning sites on the web.

Sorry you have to deal with it all the time. I know I couldn't do it.

Brooklyn red,

We get at the disease when we first actually realize this is a war and then act like we are at war.

War is not pretty and is not politically correct. Yet, we have expanded the Geneva Conventions to cover terrorists. Under the Conventions, those people had no rights, and could have been summarily executed as spies.

War means adopting a "them or us" mentality. One side will lose, and the victor will impose its will on the loser. Most people in the US have never considered the consequences to not only the US but them personally if we lose this war.

War means aggressively prosecuting the crimes of espionage, sedition and treason. To date, we have actually gone in the opposite direction, allowing the enemy to establish a solid foothold in the US and have allowed them to bully us with our own laws into letting them flourish.

War means having the will and resolve to win. There is a substantial population in the US, blinded either by partisanship or their dislike of the current administration, that has developed the will to LOSE. This group includes those who would exit Iraq now. We can debate the issue of going to war with Iraq in the first place, but that has nothing to do with the issue we should be discussing - what happens if we retreat?

Retreat will not only embolden our enemies, it will surely result in genocide the likes of which we have not seen since the "end" of Vietnam. We will allow our enemy to firmly establish itself as the power in the middle east, and will be faced with an enemy in the near future that is 100 times more lethal than the one we are dealing with now.

UNfortunately, I do not see the US being prepared to really treat this as a war, at least until it is almost too late to counter the threat. Perhaps Bin Laden fulfilling his promise to kill 4 million Americans will do it; perhaps multiple attacks involving the liberal bastions in the US that make 9/11 look like a picnic; perhaps an attack that cripples our infrastructure for years to come.

What people don't seem to realize is that Beslan and now the slaughter of children in Afghanistan are warm ups. If the terrorists can carry out such an act here, they will do it. And there is ample evidence that they are "probing" to do just that.

We get at the disease by going to war. What we are doing now bears no resemblence to a nation at war, or a nation committed to win.

The war on terror is just treating the symptom (terrorism)... how to get at the disease?? What say you?

#125 Purplepeep,
Indeed, it isn't. As a matter of fact, it is impossible to change one's corrupt nature unless God does it for you, out of his unconditional love for those he has chosen. ;)

It means I am a Calvinist. "Reformed" indicates the Augustinian-Calvinist school of thought, as opposed to the semi-Pelagian/Arminianism school of thought. All true, non-liberal (unlike those heretics in the PCUSA*) Prebyterians are Reformed, not all folks in the Reformed community are Presbyterians - Some are/were congregationalists (like the New England Puritans), some are Baptists, etc. TULIP (total depravity, unconditional love, limited atonement, irresistable grace, perseverance of the saints) is the distinguishing feature of our theology.

*There are still some Christians left in the PCUSA, but the denomination as a whole can safely be considered heretical, I think.

It means I am a Calvinist. “Reformed” indicates the Augustinian-Calvinist school of thought, as opposed to the semi-Pelagian/Arminianism school of thought. All true, non-liberal (unlike those heretics in the PCUSA*) Prebyterians are Reformed, not all folks in the Reformed community are Presbyterians – Some are/were congregationalists (like the New England Puritans), some are Baptists, etc. TULIP (total depravity, unconditional love, limited atonement, irresistable grace, perseverance of the saints) is the distinguishing feature of our theology.

*There are still some Christians left in the PCUSA, but the denomination as a whole can safely be considered heretical, I think.
