Someone representing Parents magazine e-mailed me this morning about new poll results on parenting and politics. These were amusing:

Why would anyone trust their child with Hill? I mean, it’s been rumored that she lures children to her candy house, shoves them into the oven, and then eats them!
If I had to choose, I’d say that I would trust Fred the most. He’s got children that are roughly my children’s ages, so he’s probably better with them than any of the others.
But that’s just my opinion.
Hahaha – that picture cracks me up every time! I can just see it now; “hold the mirror a little higher, Johnny, that’s it. Aren’t I just the most prettiest babysitter evah! I mean, my hair alone…”
The kids would have nightmares forever. Can you image the therapy bill?
On a serious note, it does scare me that 26% of the people responded Hillary. Hillary didn’t even raise her own daughter – she left that up to others while pursuing her “career.”
What kind of person logs onto an on-line poll and then refuses to answer?
I would chose Hillary in short burts. My kids would be afraid of her, so I know they’d behave.

Better still, what in the world are we coming to with polls like these? I think the more appropriate question is “What candidate do you trust to safely and responsibly run the federal government and protect our vital national interests (borders, anti-terror, etc.)?
It really is frightening to read that so many would entrust their kids with Hillary.Especially with Fred,Mitt and McCain so low on the list.Maybe its because she’s”just a girl”.

i’m with achefty, maybe they feel that babysitting is the only job Shrillary is capable of; and not running the country?

The problem with that is the Hildabeast only knows how to deal in bovine feces. She wouldn’t know what to do with a real human problem…..

How could Hillary be a good babysitter by herself? By her own admission it takes a village. Sorry, I don’t have the space at my house.
And this matters because?
Since none of them would ever “physically” babysit..who cares.
OTOH – since they all will affect policy greatly which will affect the children…The better question is who best will enact policies which are in the best interest of your child’s wellbeaing (both short term and long term)?
A few categories for thought: Safety/Security (both domestic and foreign threats), Financial (allowing/promoting and environment which will to prosper), Morally…etc
Glad my kids are all grown and I don’t have to make this type of decision. But I do know “she-who-must-not-be-named” scares them as young adults.
Only a liberal would conceive of or ask that poll question.

There is an upside to letting Hillary babysit. After she leaves, you can request that the donations made to her campaign in the names of your children be refunded. Depending on the number of children, that can be quite a windfall.

Not a freakin one of them. Wouldn’t even want them in the same room with me in it, let alone have them watch them.
Besides, my youngest two are more versed on global politics that the entire Dem candidacy combined.

I think Hillary’s look of consternation would snap the kids into line. But, then again, time with Hill could be construed as inhumane punishment. That would be far worse than waterboarding in my book.
I wouldn’t have Hillary in my house if they paid me…or at least tried to convince people they tipped me. I have some nice stuff that I couldn’t afford to have replaced, and with her sticky fingers when it comes to home furnishings…

I took this seriously and thought about my six kids. Who to leave in charge while I go see “Bella” with my dear husband?

“Don’t Know” is better than the alternatives.

The only one I’d even remotely trust to babysit my kids (and only if they were toddlers) would be Ron Paul.

Hillary would be most likely to scare the crap out of my children, and that not even with my sentiments being imbued into their beliefs. They have a natural understanding of just how unctuous and bad she really is.
John Edwards, a guy that is obesessed with his own appearance(hair) is the scariest to me.

How can you trust Hillary and NOT trust Romney? Just play a track of each voice and see which one kids run away from.
I think I’d rather leave my kids with the 10-year old across the street.
