“Which one of the 2008 presidential candidates would you trust most to babysit your children?”

By Michelle Malkin  •  November 9, 2007 01:01 PM

Someone representing Parents magazine e-mailed me this morning about new poll results on parenting and politics. These were amusing:

Which one of the 2008 presidential candidates would you trust most to babysit your children?

• Hillary Rodham Clinton: 26%
• None: 19%
• Barack Obama: 13%
• Don’t know: 12%
• Rudy Giuliani: 9%
• Fred Thompson: 6%
• John Edwards: 5%
• Mitt Romney: 5%
• John McCain: 4%
• Refused: 2%

Which one of the 2008 presidential candidates would you trust least to babysit your children?

• Hillary Rodham Clinton: 25%
• Don’t know: 19%
• None: 13%
• Rudy Giuliani: 13%
• John McCain: 7%
• Barack Obama: 6%
• Fred Thompson: 6%
• John Edwards: 5%
• Mitt Romney: 4%
• Refused: 2%

Yes, there are 5% of poll respondents out there who trust this guy the most to babysit their children:

Two Americas indeed.

She’d take toys from him and redistribute them to other kids in the neighborhood, while admonishing my son for using disposable diapers and having a large carbon footprint. Why would anyone trust their child with Hill? I mean, it’s been rumored that she lures children to her candy house, shoves them into the oven, and then eats them!

If I had to choose, I’d say that I would trust Fred the most. He’s got children that are roughly my children’s ages, so he’s probably better with them than any of the others.

    But that’s just my opinion.

The kids would have nightmares forever. Can you image the therapy bill?

On a serious note, it does scare me that 26% of the people responded Hillary. Hillary didn’t even raise her own daughter – she left that up to others while pursuing her “career.”

There is an upside to letting Hillary babysit. After she leaves, you can request that the donations made to her campaign in the names of your children be refunded. Depending on the number of children, that can be quite a windfall.

    1) Let a candidate babysit your child!
    2) Social Services removes your child to protect it!
    3) Parents go to jail to be reeducated.
    4) The village (idiot) continues raising the children without the interference of concerned parents.
    5) An entire generation of children raised to believe in socialist utopia where everybody feels good about themselves and no one must suffer except those few of us whom are still capable of thinking enough to be able to continue being productive despite the liberal socialist pro(di)gression?

Sound far fetched? So did preventing people from engaging in legal activity within the confines of their homes until recently. (Cali smoking bills?)

You know we make jokes about their conspiracies …. but … just saying.

Hillary will dispose of them after the photo op.

John Edwards is too busy watching himself.

Tom Tancredo would feed your kids lettuce. (sounds like he’s winning this one)

Fred Thompson hasn’t decided whether or not he’ll babysit yet.

Ron Paul won’t do it because it’s not in the constitution.

Joe Biden’s too busy putting his foot in his mouth.

    Nobody cares about Chris Dodd.
