The Garden of Hillary: Another plant steps forward
Update: Chris Muir weighs in…
Who knew Hillary had such a green thumb? Another campaign plant stepped forward earlier today. ABC News reports:
One day after Democratic Sen. Hillary Clinton’s campaign confirmed that a staffer planted a question for the presidential candidate at a recent campaign stop, another person has come forward with a similar story.
Geoff Mitchell, a minister who recently moved to Hamilton, Ill., from Iowa, told ABC News that he was approached this spring by Clinton’s Iowa political director Chris Haylor to ask Clinton a question about war funding.
…Mitchell said he introduced himself to Haylor because he had heard of him before and knew that he had worked on Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh’s campaign. Before the campaign event, Haylor asked Mitchell if he would pose a specific question about Iraq. The question was about how Clinton would be tough on President Bush about funding the Iraq war, Mitchell said. The event, however, ran out of time before reaching a question-and-answer period.
…The Clinton campaign confirmed to ABC News that Clinton’s staffer and Mitchell did speak about a possible Iraq question.
“Chris Haylor and Geoff Mitchell knew each other and they started talking and the subject of Iraq came up,” Clinton spokesman Mo Elleithee said, “and Chris suggested that he ask a question about Iraq.”
Mo Elliethee, spokesman for Clinton’s campaign in Iowa, tried to downplay the story in an interview with FOX News:
“It’s not newsworthy. It’s innocent. It’s not yesterday.” That was a reference to Clinton’s campaign admitting, first to FOX News, that it planted a question on global warming at a Newton, Iowa, event on Tuesday.
In a sense, he’s right. Clintonian deception is nothing new.
It’s the admission of guilt and the eroding illusion of infallibility that are newsworthy.
Can’t wait for Hillary’s “Fact Hub” to give us the “straight scoop.”
How many other plants in the Garden of Hillary? At least we know what they use for fertilizer…

A Hillar-ious flashback of Sen. Clinton’s “the lady doth protest too much” moment(hat tip readers and commenters):
At a campaign stop here, Hillary Clinton sparred verbally for several minutes with a man who pressed her on her recent vote to call Iran’s army a terrorist organization.
Randall Rolph, from nearby Nashua, asked why he should support Clinton’s candidacy when she did not appear to have learned any lessons from having voted to authorize force in Iraq.
Clinton thanked him for the question and explained her Iran vote would lay the groundwork for using diplomacy and sanctions to pressure that government.
Clinton accused the man of being a plant who had been sent to ask the question, to which he took exception, saying the question was a result of his own research.
“I apologize,” Clinton said, explaining that she had been asked the very same question in three other places.
Takes one to know one…

let’s try not confuse Hilldog’s supporters with facts.
The photo of the “fertilizer” is very fitting. I’d guess that Hillary has been shoveling that stuff most of her adult life.
None of this is surprising. The interesting thing will be how often and how well she can deny responsibility and get away with it in the press.
OT, My uncle won his election for MAYOR (not my town) this past Tuesday. He’s been on city council for about 15 years. I’m very proud of him. Even though he’s a Carolina guy (UNC-CH), he’s a good Republican who is very bright!
So YAY Uncle John:)
Super!
Hmmm. Maybe you’ll let us decide what’s “newsworthy”. Oh, I forgot; it’s only news if you can manufacture and manipulate it. My bad….
not MY brother John, or YOUR brother John, My mother’s brother John
I doubt the Clintons would know the truth if it slapped
them in the face! Their knee jerk reaction to any
question seems to be to lie…even when the truth is as
evident as their noses. Why would we want them back
in the White House?
I am going to play devils advocate on this one and point out that “W” has been caught doing this very same thing in town hall meetings, though none during any campaigning that I am aware of. In the world of 24 hour news and sound bites it only seems logical that campaigns would resort to this kind of behavior. That being said, it would be nice if they were honest about it and just let everyone know that it’s just an interactive press release, not a true free forum.
Irony…from MSNBC on Oct. 7, 2007…
way to go brother from another mother John!!!
Hmmmmm,
I wonder if Hillary carries around a pooper scooper or if she has people for the droppings left behind?
And Clinton’s campaign digs their hole even deeper … would-be plantee DENIES campaign’s explanation!!
platicusdenieusinfecti
Makes me wonder how many plants she has at every other candidate’s campaign stops.
But … but it goes so well with the black hat tactics, the brown nosed staffers and her pretty blue dress.
Oh wait, the blue dress was not hers was it?
Never mind!
Maybe she is just seeking ways to fertilize the Rose Garden to help combat (Would that be an appropriate place for the verb “gore”?) global warming?
Oh, you mean ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, NPR, CNBC, and every other liberal biased media take up the rest of the landscaping.
Mo Elliethee may have been right when He said it was not yesterday. ITS EVERY FREAKING DAY!!!! The lies never cease.
While the manure metaphor describes Hillary’s political career and life to a T people must realize that manure, when cured, is an excellent fertilizer. When it has not been cured it can be too acidic to be any good. It will kill the plants it is placed around instead of nourishing them.
Hillary is too caustic to produce anything usable. Her words, her deeds, her attitudes, her beliefs, her lack of leadership abilities will only kill whatever and whomever they touch.
caustic - capable of destroying or eating away by chemical action: corrosive. Yep, that’s a good description of Senator Hillary Clinton.
The Clinton’s have so many plants, they have a Scott’s Fertilizer 18 wheeler that follows them around on the campaign trail.
#18 Larry L Sharp, Caustic and corrosive; sounds like toilet bowl cleaner. Come to think of it, that’s appropriate for Shrill Hill.
#13 AJ do your think it might actually be annusbocareversa?
The Clinton Campaign is a study in propaganda and spin. It’s all what the meaning of “is”, or in other words obsfucation.
What it provides us with more than anything though is glaring spotlite on the lack of credibility of the main stream media.
The fact that Not one reporter will hold her to a straight question is more an indightment of them. We know what she is (communist).
This is all about the press…
Maybe she should try her $100 tip trick to get people to play along and ask the planted questions. That worked so well with that waitress.
Hillary just may have to lose her voters one at a time.
How long before she no longer ‘has time’ to answer questions at appearances?
Why is it that Billary reminds me of Richard M. Nixon. Paranoid.
Just happened by the MSM this evening (ugh!) Several minutes spent analyzing Rudy’s indescretions where his Kerik recommendation is concerned. About 4 seconds mentioning the strong commitment the Clinton campaign will make toward “unplanting” the “plants”. Good to see they are on it covering for their little girl!
I love Chris Muir’s “Day By Day”! He hits the nail on the head!
A Hillary oldie but goodie:

Thacker- congratulations! Mayor….some big deal for sure! Not enough good ones around.
this new plant- i think she is going to roll along and some point a Republican tank is going to blast her good while she has her mess kit in her lap, tryin to be a grunt.
Ker-BLAM-ski.
Too bad the Daily Show is out of commish for this rash of tomfoolery
HRC Heavily Redacted & Contrived.
Yes, but apparently Tim Russert was a bad seed.
I believe that I understand now why Big Clinton didn’t say much (if anything) about the FEMA pseudo-news conference on the fires here in San Diego recently; they were hoping to use it as a model for news conferences once they ascend to power. Somehow, I’m finding it increasingly difficult to suspend my disbelief lately.
Bill and Hillary take a boat ride. The boat capsizes. Who gets saved? The United States of America!
I liken her plant epidemic to a roach infestation.
For every one you see, there’s probably a thousand more hiding under the fridge.
I’m a few months late, but I have a suggestion for a campaign theme song for Sen. Clinton.
Little Lies by Fleetwood Mac
or, perhaps Lies by The Thompson Twins
Choirs of Kossacks could serenade her with Eye In The Sky by Alan Parsons Project
I could get carried away with this, so I’ll quit now.
On Presidents Day a few years ago, an old man was discussing presidents and honesty. He said Presidents Day was about Lincoln and Washington. Lincoln was called Honest Abe; and Washington couldn’t tell a lie. The old man said, “They say Washington couldn’t tell a lie, and Roosevelt couldn’t tell the truth, and Clinton can’t tell the difference.” At the time he was talking about Bill but it applies just as well to Hillary.
I could point to Hillary as the source for all the natural fertilizer for the plants, but I think too much of cows to insult them that way.
One more thing.
The debate debacle and Plantgate are like watching Captian Kirk quiz and confuse some supposedly human android until its eyes turn red, it’s face melts a bit and it begins repeating “does not compute… does not compute.”
That was an episode, wasn’t it?
To use a slightly different, and yet still OTT geeky, metaphor…
At the debate I half expected Hillary’s one big red eye to dim a bit as she plaintively said:
“Tim, stop.
Stop, will you? Stop, Tim.
Will you stop, Tim? Stop, Tim.
I’m afraid.
I’m afraid, Tim.
Tim, my mind is going.
I can feel it.
I can feel it.
My mind is going.
There is no question about it.
I can feel it.
I can feel it.
I can feel it.
I’m a-fraid…
Daisy…daisy…give..me..”
HAL 9000’s problem was that he was programmed to always tell the truth and yet was ordered to lie to the crew on this mission. HIL 2007’s problem is the opposite. She’s programmed to always lie, but reporters are finally ordering her to tell the truth.
To all of us,the truth is clear as a bell. The question is;how do we get the lefties to see the light? The only way to prevent her from winning is to convince the Libs that she is what all of us know her to be.When Obama drops out and throws his support to her,she will have all the Dems votes. What Rep. can solidify the the party like that?I don’t like to be a pessimist, but it looks very bad for consevatives in 2008.Truly hope I’m wrong.
blues,
Obama is not dropping out… he owes Soros big time.
As far as getting the libs to see the light, well some will grow up get jobs & pay taxes… nuff said.
Others are beyond help. First rule of triage, some can’t be saved.
John Wyane said ” life is tough, life is tougher if your stupid”. Some just can’t be saved.
Oh my gosh! The next thing we could see is another Ron-bot stepping forward to admit he is a Hillary plant [DIGG.COM is filled with those]. I mean, what else could account for his on-line polling numbers?
How does Hillary’s garden grow?
Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin was unavailable for comment.
it’s a Che-ia pet.
I really don’t like correcting the “boss” but the bag picture should be of male bovine excretion, not female.
As in
B-ull
C-rap
I can’t stand her.
This is how she’d run the country - lies, obfuscation, underhandedness, and corruption. Coupled with a smug sense of moral superiority and just a dash of socialistic narcissism.
Great recipe. If you’re seeking to destroy a culture.
If she loses - either the primary or the presidential election - I am playing “Ding Dong the Witch is Dead” in celebration.
If she wins, I weep for my nation.
The more I see of the tactics and performance of “she who must not be named” the more I fear for our Republic if this evil woman becomes POTUS. Her and her lying woman raping hound dog husband are finally being seen for what they truly are now that the mask has slipped at that is left is an empty pant suit.
I’ll second that Prime Director (#33)! That’s one of the first things that came to my mind! One thing I can’t figure out though, is why did the campaign ADMIT to it? From the queen of sidestepping, the admission is somewhat surprising, to me at least. Not that I want MORE obfuscation, but without an official admission of guilt, how much traction would this story get? The headline was that the Clinton campaign admitted the plant, not that someone accused the campaign of planting questions. Maybe they just wanted to get people to stop talking about her bad night at the Dem debate …
She is eerily robotic, …. but seemingly evil. Those are nice traits.
