Sedition in Olympia: Anti-war mom drops baby human shield as anarchist kiddie shields watch
Update 10:15am Eastern 11/16. Five more troop-obstructing thugs were arrested last night. There are more tantrums scheduled today and tomorrow in Olympia and other cities. The vandals have been emboldened. Feel very sorry and afraid for the kiddie human shields.

On Monday, I blogged about the human kiddie shields being used by anti-war thugs in Olympia to block military shipments. This afternoon, an Olympia reader e-mailed some new, exclusive photos and a first-hand report of the mother’s reckless behavior. First, the photos:
The reader, B., works at the Port of Olympia. Here’s what he witnessed:
I work at the port, and have observed some truly mind boggling events unfold, but the most astonishing was the use of children as human shields. The attached pictures were taken on 11/9/07; the night military equipment was first blocked from leaving the port. The Olympia Police Department essentially abandoned any effort to remove the protesters out of fear that a child would be harmed in their efforts to enforce the law. The mother of these children apparently had no such concern.
After the military convoy was forced to retreat, a victory celebration ensued, with chanting dancing, etc. I was horrified to watch as the woman in the attached photograph, distracted by events, allowed her infant to fall from her lap and land, face first on the pavement. The second photo shows her retrieving the crying baby as her other two children, dressed as terrorists look on.
This situation, and another two days later, when dozens of college aged girls were arrayed in rows with arms linked to block the road, showed a deliberate effort to use the same tactics as the terrorist savages who manipulate us, knowing that decent people cannot abide putting innocents in harm’s way. And, while the police were dragging the females away, under the glare of the media’s cameras, the males were establishing rolling blockades; throwing rocks at police and military vehicles; breaking windows, etc.
The whole event had the flavor of a huge mob of children playing some updated version of “Cowboys and Indians” — with live ammo.
He passes along one more item, giving you a glimpse at the moonbattery at left-wing Evergreen State College, which is coddling the thugs obstructing military shipments. B. writes, “This state-funded institution, once a Liberal Arts College, has been subverted to the extent that it has become a regional center for the promotion of anti-social behavior of every imaginable variety. The faculty and facilities of TESC have been pivotal in encouraging the lawlessness overtaking the streets of Olympia. There are no racial issues involved in this case of deranged stinky hippies obstructing the movement of military convoys in a time of war. So why do you bring up racists, and what was said here that “is the same thing”?

(In my best Cliff Klaven voice:) Its a little known fact that before their fifth birthday, a good 90-95% of all moonbats have been dropped hard on their heads at a demonstration, protest, hippie jam-fest or love-in.
The remaining 5-10% are just born retarded.
I have often wondered if this is a similar modus operandi employed by the Phelps family during their vile protests at military funerals. Not only do they include their children at their protests in order to inculcate their bile into the offspring, but to also use them as human shields of sorts, knowing that people are less likely to visit violence upon them if children are around.
OK an Adult can make a conscious decision to stand in the way of a truck but doing that with a Child is Child Endangerment.
In one protest in the 80’s (?) a guy lost his f*!’ing leg! when he tried to do a sit-in protest and block a train. Next time, the police should be prepared, bring Child Protective Services with them.
Usually I think of CPS as going over the top and fascistic (Investigating parents for having the kid near a camp fire, etc), but this is verifiably dangerous and is happening right in front of the police in public.
In the 80’s, the man who lost his leg was then sued by the train crew for emotional distress. It was a protest outside Concord Naval Weapons Station in Concord, CA. I was stationed near there. Federal law prohibits blocking of military convoys. These people should be brought up on federal charges relating to the blockading of military convoys engaged in their duties as such. The interstate highway system was designed for the rapid deployment of military materials and personnel.
When I first saw the head shot of this poor kid in your summary column, I thought it was a posting about partial-birth abortion. The pain on his face is unbearable.

If you meant to imply derel3433 #88, that somehow conservatives are linked to white supremacy, you are mistaken in a way that makes me sad. There is a conceptual difference between right-wing and conservative: white supremacists are only right-wing.

I think it’s a mistake to think of these people as “idiots” or “sick”. In fact they are completely rational and fiendishly clever.
The real problem is that America is at war and they’re on the other side.
Until we stop thinking of them as sick or misguided fellow citizens and recognize them as the enemy they are we’ll be allowing them the upper hand.

James Felix’s above comment and the poster who earlier commenting on them hating America more than they love their children have it right on. It is the same mindset the terrorists have, and one of the significant reasons I find terrorists more than an enemy and actually an abomination. These are going to be some really screwed up kids. I agree with everyone commenting that the police should arrive with CPS in tow and arrest all the adults and take all the children into protective custody.
The baby dropping woman is wearing what appears to be a wedding ring leading to the supposition that she is married. That really begs the question of whether or not her husband (presumably the children’s father but these are liberals so 3 kids could easily mean 3 drunken ecstasy laden nights at grunge concerts and she may not even know the name of the 3 daddies) knows what she is doing with the children and the apparent disregard she has for their safety either as potential danger or actual harm she has inflicted.
I see a trend here. Being dropped on their heads is probably how their parents started down the protest path. Now the protestors drop their children on their heads, beginning their lifelong journeys as lefty loons. A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

Throwing rocks at Police – Assault on a Police Officer; Felony
Encouraging the idiots – inciting to riot; Felony
Pouring concrete on railroad tracks – stand them in the concrete, let it harden, wait for train.
That “mother” costume that Michael Jackson had on at the protest was actually pretty convincing until he dropped the baby.
Sounds more like a meeting to plan their next attack. I mean who calls a support group ‘debriefing’?

Where is child welfare? I mean this has to be somekind of child abuse going on here. If I were an on looker I would be calling the Department of Human Resources, the DA., ect…somebody should pay some consequences for exposing children to this kind of deranged behavior.

I thought the press was considered to be friends of those who demonstrate. I guess that changes when the press starts printing the truth of their destructive behavior.
The demonstrators complain about the aggressive behavior of the police, without saying a word about their own rock throwing, dumpster rolling, window smashing behavior. They need to look up the definition of two faced.
On Wednesday I sent emails to several officials in Olympia asking what was being done about this. Mayor Mark Foutch responded to me very quickly and he has now sent a second email to me, regarding the cement incident. I though I would share it with the whole class.
(By the way, that’s a really strong statement the protesters are making… secretly pouring cement on railroad tracks when no one’s around and then skulking away into the night. It takes a lot of guts to stand up to the man like that. /sarc)

Drove down to the port of Olympia yesterday, around 3:45… no police presence to be seen; couple of newsie’s with their satellite trucks and a small crowd of maybe 20 “youts”…
I think Governor Gregoire should call in the National Guard – obviously the police are getting tired and may need some help keeping up.
I agree with Laree, Child Protective Services should be contacted.

Well, that solidifies my point that I made early on in this. The cement was poured several blocks away. No one knew it was ther, especially the railroad. How it was found out is not clear either, but thank God it was. Again, the damage and loss of life that is a definate possibility should a train have hit that cment and derailed is very real. Should there have been chemicals of an ordinary variety, it would be devastating. However, as these were supposedly military transport trains, there could have been any number of items on board, up to and including VX gas, nuclear material or waste, missles, ammunition of large caliber form, bombs etc. While extensive precautions are made to avoid catastrophic failure of these containers in the event of a derailment, catastrophic failures do occur.
This event, the pouring of the concrete, most definately reaches the level of a terrorist act. If some Jihadi moron, chanting about Allah had done this, they would be in GitMo. There are two terrorist in jail now awaiting trial for haveing pipe bombs in their trunk near a military base.
With this knowledge, I find it to be an embarrassment as well as an outrage that there are no arrests, no serious inquiries, no serious investigations into arresting, trying and punishing the terrorists involved in the attempted murder and mayhem of potentially thousands of fellow Americans in Washington.
Do you think I am over-reacting? Well then I recommend you do a little search on google into train derailments as well as chemical leaks and chlorine or ammonia clouds, two very common chemicals transported throughout this country by rail and especially into military installations.
It is time to call these people what they are and have them prosecuted as such. They are terrorists pure and simple. They have committed an overt act of sabotage and treason and yet the mayor, police chief and even local Federal Law Enforcement agents are doing nothing, making them, in effect, complicit in their on-going crimes.
Sooner or later law enforcement is going to be given the order to taze anybody obstructing the flow of materiele.
The order will come down from the Governor ultimately. Perhaps they are waiting to see the protest run its course.
Once law enforcement steps in against the adults (18 and over), the kids will go ballistic to defend their parents (nice switch given the risk the parents have saddled the kids with by being there in the first place).
Then you’ll have parents going after cops to protect their kids, and we’ll see “assaulting a police officer” type dramas unfolding.
No amount of therapeutic processing will help those families figure out their own responsibility for the hell they unleashed on their lives.
The appearance is that the Port and law enforcement are doing nothing. But, as many of us know, when protestors interfere with the movement and transfer of real property, the gloves come off.
It’s just a matter of time.
In the 70’s, during the Vietnam War, a train carrying explosives and high cliber munitions derailed in Roseville, California. The resulting fire and damage caused said munitions to begin exploding, causing an extensive amount of damage and devastating fires.
The damage caused and resulting fires, caused many of the shells to be buried and hidden, even though an extensive search and recovery mission was put forth. While it took a great deal of time, it was finally declared clear. Over the next 25+ years, there were houses and schools and stores built up in the area.
A few years ago, while Southern Pacific/Union Pacific were performing construction on the long forgotten site of the catastrophy, the unearthed and even exploded, shells that were over 25 years old. The unearthing and exploding of said shells went on t=for weeks, and it was only a miracle that no one was injured, however there were many shattered windows in the houses not too far away.
How do I know this? because I could hear the explosions over 20 miles away where I was living at the time.
So, still think what I have said is an over reaction? Just think about it, and then tell me that these anti-American, traitorous tools shouldn’t be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
The original train derailment at the Roseville Railyards occurred May 24, 1973, involved 18 boxcars containing 44 tons of 250lb bombs.

Retiredfireman I remember the train explosion very well I was in High School in Rancho Cordova, CA. When the first explosion hit it shook all the windows in the house and our first thought in my parent’s house was an SR-71 for Beale AFB had just gone super-sonic. We had a big track meet that Saturday and I remember all the kids from Roseville High on the phones in our school calling home to see if their families were OK. When walking to the High School I vividly remember the smoke and the continuing explosions throughout the day.
We have many trains passing through the town I live in now and the worst thing I could think of is a train with hazardous materials derailing. I just can’t believe someone could have such disregard for public safety to try to derail a train. In my book they should be booked for a minimum of attempted murder.

I haven’t read every comment on the thread, so maybe somebody else has noticed, but as I have studied the two older brothers in the top photo, it occurs to me that they aren’t wearing the masks just to resemble terrorists, they are probably wearing them as a feeble attempt to filter out the tear gas or pepper spray that their parents were expecting.
When I was a kid, my mom only had to remind me not to forget my lunch, or to wear a jacket. Nowadays, it’s “Honey, don’t forget your tear gas shield”.

Went by the anarchist rally in Seattle today on the way to lunch. Booths set up for socialists, truthers etc. Thought I showed pretty good restraint. Some kid asked if I wanted an anarchist pamplet, I resisted the urge to place it where the sun don’t shine and just told him I wasn’t into the whole morons for stupidity thing. Then on the way back from lunch they were marching down 2nd Ave traffic backed up, upside down American flag, 911 an inside job yada yada, even a couple of Ron Paul signs. By the way does Jane Fonda get royalties for them using her old protest chants? I mean come on people try for some originality.

Those arrested were booked into the Olympia City Jail on suspicion of violating the city’s pedestrian interference ordinance. They were later released. [NewsTribune]
Big mistake in releasing them. Bigger mistake in not charging with violations of 18 USC 2381, 2382, 2384, and 2384.
America made a mistake when they didn’t hang Jane Fonda for treason when she returned from North Vietnam. Her, Hayden, Ramsey Clark should all have gone to the gallows. Now these useless f*cks think that because Fonda got away with treason, so can they.

You’ll be glad to know that they’re actually responding to emails and complaints right now. I have been in direct communication with the mayor and members of the council, as well as the city attorney. All of their email addresses are on the City website.
As with the editor of the Olympian, they all tacitly support these seditious activities. The mayor told me that the jails are already full, so they shouldn’t be held, and those arrested aren’t a danger to the community, so they won’t be charged. Needless to say, he get an ear/eyeful from me about that.
