Countering PETA
If it’s Thanksgiving week, it’s PETA propaganda week. HBO ran a documentary on PETA’s founder, Ingrid Newkirk. PETA poster woman Pamela Anderson is out and about serving turkey-free, veggie dinners. And PETA protesters are demanding that President Bush provide “after care” for pardoned turkeys.
The Center for Consumer Freedom isn’t cowed. Yesterday, the group ran a full-page ad in Variety taking the sanctimonious animal rights group and its Hollywood supporters to task for the blood on their own hands:

I believe there is room on this planet for all of God’s creatures.

Most people I’ve encountered from PETA think humans deserve to die more than any animals do. Interesting that they kill so many animals knowing this tenet of their organizational beliefs.

I’ve never taken PETA seriously.
Back in high school, my cousin and I had a speech class together. One of our assignments was to give a speech for a non-profit group. No two people could do the same group, so when my cousin had her turn to choose, she chose PETA. Mind you, now, she’s a steak-eating carnivore.
The entire time – from preparing the speech to delivering the speech – she pronounced PETA as “Pet-uh” rather than “Peet-ah”. So I always think of her and smile.
If any person thinks that the human species is the ruin of the planet and deserves extinction, I can only say “You first.”
Pamey would have to do a lil more than just flash her boobs for me to eat a vegaturkey.

If God didn’t want us to eat animals, then why did he make them taste like meat?

I’m not sure there is anything that would convince me to abandon turkey or meat in general. I don’t put animals on an even footing with humans, so I have no problem eating them. It would have to be something like “mad turkey disease” to make me stop eating turkey.

The reason is: Peta is not concerned so much about animals dying as they are about controlling what people do and think. This PETA organization is about socialism, collectivism and communism. If it were so concerned about well being of animals, they would be opposed to abortion. Ethical Treatment of Anything but Humans should be the true nominclature of this group.

Dear vegans, your teeth are not proper for your diet, your digestion isn’t fit for your diet – get over it.
Humans are omnivores and that is good cause if we didn’t use meat for digestible protein we would still be hanging around in the trees.
To them aborting a baby means one less animal eating human. Typical of anything liberals believe in or stand on, no rational logic. We will never be able to make any sense of modern liberalism.

Why the canine teeth if God intended for us to
be vegans?
Before the President gives them after care, are the
turkeys legal or illegal? I know they didn’t fly over the
border because, as was said on WKRP, “As God is my
witness, I thought turkeys could fly!”
Do Peta members feed their dogs meat? There was an
article in one of my dog newsletters where a study
showed that canines fed vegan diets were malnourished. In other words, if their dogs are vegans They are being mistreated.
There is a difference between a Vegan and a vegetarian. A Vegan is religious about their vegetarianism and will give you a hard time about the death of the animal you are eating while a vegetarian just does not eat meat. The Soaps were vegetarians for 3 years. People often called us vegans. I had to correct them and tell them I did not care how the animal you eat was killed and cooked – I am a vegetarian.
That being said, I am now a meatatarian. Wine injected turkey breast for Thanksgiving. It is a secret recipe so, don’t tell anybody.

I’d be happy to provide After Care for the pardoned turkeys at my house for a small one time fee. I’d take care of them until they died of natural causes. I would work on their self esteem and encourage them to spread their wings and fly!

I am a true blue carnivore there is no hope for me so don’t even try PETA. Just thinking about how to prepare the meat from the animals which provide our sustenance on this global food chain makes me hungry. Mmmmm Steak! Mmmmm Chicken! Mmmmm Pork! Mmmmm Turkey! Mmmmm Fish!

If PETA people had any common sense or consistency at all, they’d at least see humans as natural omnivores and acknowledge that we have a place in nature at least as much as any creature on this planet.
PETA members aren’t supposed to have dogs. According to them, we have no right to keep animals as pets.
So I hope none of them do. It’s bad enough there are no laws to prevent them having children and passing on their cracked lifestyle.
Now that would be a fun little slogan to chant at a PETA protest:

It is acceptable to PETA for them to feed their pets animal flesh & byproducts (check the label on pet food) but it is not acceptable for me to feed my son meat.

I am reminded of people in far off lands that enjoy the taste of human. Perhaps Ms. Newkirk has a thought about their dietary habits. Or does she approve of that particular type of animal consumption?
I can’t stand having them in my backyard. Their main office sits on some nice Norfolk waterfront property. Once again donors money at work.
Does that mean rest homes for turkeys? Or are they going be retrained for a different career than “dinner”?

No matter how much they wish, PETA members will never turn themselves into ruminants. Of course, with modern medicine, they could file down their canine teeth, have their stomachs converted into 3 chambers, and learn to regurgitate in order to chew their cud.
They can also have their eyes moved to the side of their heads, and have their ears moved to the top of their heads facing forward.
Man is a predator in biological terms. Binocular vision, canine teeth, etc. Our bodies are well equipped to use and digest animal protein, which is an efficient source of protein.
So, what PETA member is going to be the first to go through the “conversion”? Hope they show the surgery on Discovery – I’ll watch it intently while dining on a still mooing steak.

Any discussion of Animal Rights must begin with an understanding of what the Animal Rights ideology is.
To an Animal Rights activist, an animal and a human are of equal moral value, and if it is ethically or morally impermissible to do something to a human, it is as impermissible to do it to an animal.
AR people have coined the term “speciesism” to demonize discrimination based on species differences, trying to draw emotional support for their cause by likening it to “racism,” “ageism,” “sexism” and any other “-ism” you’d care to invent.
It is this human/animal moral equivalency that separates AR from Animal Welfare.
But AR advocates have a problem: to a person, they all advocate spaying and neutering animals.
If, as they assert, animals are equally deserving of “rights” as humans, how can they support depriving animals of their right to reproduction, sexual pleasure, the joy of raising offspring, and subject them to the risks of surgery that mutilates their organs of reproduction, if they don’t also advocate spaying and neutering humans for the same reasons (like overpopulation).
And how can PeTA justify killing animals merely because they are sick or unadoptable?
Aren’t these just the creatures who are most deserving of PeTA’s protection, especially if their condition was caused by cruel humans in the first place?

PETA is a terrorist organization. Newkirk should be in prison for terrorism. If I had my way, it’d be at Gitmo.
Members of PETA (and all Vegans) should be denied all medical treatments and drugs developed since WWI as they were all first tested on animals.
No cancer therapies.
No surgery requiring anesthesia.
No setting of broken bones.
No pacemakers or implanted defibs.
No antibiotics, sulfa drugs, antivirals.
No vaccination for ANY disease, and this applies to their children, too. It especially applies to their children! Let momma and poppa’s VEGANISM be their bulwark against polio, whooping cough, tetanus, and influenza.
No pain killers, no anti-arthritis medications.
No blood transfusions or organ transplants.
Vegans are against the use of animals for testing. To insure that they are not “corrupted”, they should be DENIED use of any of the above. We wouldn’t want them to compromise their beliefs, would we?
When they get sick or old, they either live or die using pre-modern methods of treatment (like “bleeding”) or they recover on their own. No loss to the rest of us if they expire because of their stupid beliefs.
I’ve adopted this saying: “The only good vegan is one who is suffering from beri-beri.”
Yeah. I’m a hard ass this morning. It happens every time I see terrorist Newkirk on TV or see that stupid, bird-brained HepC infected cow, Pammy, on TV.
If I was still living in Hampton Roads, I would be having a nice picnic dinner of Turkey, et al across the street from the peta offices.
This would be followed with lots practice of turkey calls, non-alcoholic bubbly and attended by folks in kilts. (think Braveheart)
Heck, I would even send some grub over to the folks on the NOAA ship piered up nearby.

I am a vegetarian. Peta has nothing to do with vegetarianism. Their “support” of vegetarianism is just as contradictory as conservatives supporting the FDA.

Penn & Teller have this great series on Showtime called Bullsh!t. I don’t agree with everything they say, but their episodes on PETA and gun control are absolutely must-see. They also tear into people who talk to the dead, college/diversity, and conspiracy theory/truthers.
