Check out this link from one of Michelle’s previous blogs called THE UNHINGED EFFECT.

As Michelle said, “In other words: Try very hard to behave, or you’ll prove her (MM’s) point.”

It explains exactly what every college should say to all of their students about ANY guest speaker. The last line is very important:

Remember that you can always leave the lecture should you feel uncomfortable or offended.

These are the same people that want us to turn off our TVs or change the channel if we don’t approve of the sex and violence our children are watching. Now the shoe is on the other foot and they don’t like it. Too bad!

To quote a bumpersticker I once saw (in CA no less!):

Visualize…getting off your hippie ass and getting a job.

To be honest, I wasn’t even around yet in the 60s. But there is little music made today that can compete. Do you currently reside in Iowa? Iowans just seem to keep popping up on this site. And here in Iowa City, I was starting to believe conservatives didn’t even exist. There is hope.

Somewhat OT:
I totally agree, except for the music part. I think some amazing music came out of the 60s. Like Hendrix, Otis Redding, The Beatles, The Stones, Aretha, The Who, The Beach Boys, The Rascals, The Lovin’ Spoonful, Led Zeppelin, The Drifters, The Kinks, The Animals and, one of my favorites, CCR. (It’s surprising that something as great as CCR came out of San Francisco at the same time it was pumping out stuff like Strawberry Alarm Clock.)

Blame the administrators…Any college administrator should expell any student that storms a stage or disrupts a speech by an invited guest. It’s very much like a parent who won’t control their screaming brat who’s disrupting the peace. They just let them do whatever they want so that they can “express” themselves.

I agree with on-my-soapbox…

Taze them and taze them somemore and then expell them. This crap has got to stop.
