In all seriousness, this put-a-lid-on-it approach only makes it worse.

It’s the personal scale of a useless geopolitical strategy that has become all too familiar. For example, power elites spend decades putting a lid on conflict with their version of diplomacy, only to have a resurgent bloodbath occur as the artificial “boundaries” burst. I give you WW1, ww2, the cold war (3) and now WW4 in the middle east.

I retired from the Department of the Navy 2 years ago. I’d bet this list is making the rounds there too.
Some words I could see, but some of them are just plain stupid.
