“The Chavez campaign nervous breakdown”

Further evidence of the Chavez nervous breakdown: The paranoid thug-o-crat is going after CNN for instigating his murder. Why? Because of a production glitch in lower graphics:
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said on Wednesday CNN may have been instigating his murder when the U.S. TV network showed a photograph of him with a label underneath that read “Who killed him?”
The caption appeared to be a production mistake — confusing a Chavez news item with one on the death of a football star. The anchor said “take the image down” when he realized.
But Chavez called for a probe in an interview on state television, where he repeatedly reviewed a tape of the broadcast, questioning why the unconnected photograph and wording were left on screen for several seconds.
“I want the state prosecutor to look into bringing a suit against CNN for instigating murder in Venezuela,” he said. “… undoubtedly it is part of the psychological warfare.”

Has anyone in the justice department investigated CNN for putting the big X across GWB during a speech? Wasn’t it CNN that did that?
God forbid that would inspire some graffiti-artist to run up to the Prez and spray-paint a huge capital letter on him.
Hmmm…Do you think that bird on his shoulder can talk? Sorry Chavez said something again right? Or he said the samething over again? You know the second string dictators, are never as good as the first string, no matter how hard they try…oh well, Viva La Revolutionion!
I’m starting to see lots of reports of true grass roots opposition to Chavez and his grab for power, including street protests by students. I’m wondering why we haven’t seen any liberals express their solidarity with the ‘people’ yet.
Is it just me – or does he look like “Hector” – the drug-dealing guy with the chain-saw from the movie “Scarface”?

Let’s not forget that Hugo Chavez’s ex-wife, Maria Isabel Rodriguez, opposes him. If I remember correctly, she was part of his government when he first took office. She now says that she regrets helping him. She also warns that human rights, such as the right to life (and I’m not talking about abortion), would be in jeopardy if he stays in power.
Will the Follywood crowd come to his defense now?
Apology or not – I’m shocked and dismayed, DL!!! Or to quote the nubly-headed one himself, ” I resemble that remark!”

My barber stocks a full gamut of educational periodicals. In the Sept. 07 edition of Playboy, (ahem!) an article briefly reminds that a union of Chavista politicos and Venezuelan police have been roaming the countrysides, confiscating private farms from “the rich” and burning down the sugarcane stocks…all in the name of Chavez’ socialized farm cooperative programs. (The poor Chavez supporters initially loved the schardenfreude, but even they are starting to wilt at the cruelty and the milk shortages.)
The article reminded the reader of the last three, grand scale farm redistribution efforts (Russia-1929, China-1959 and Cuba-early 1970’s?) All results were disastrous – as in over 100 million humans starved to death.
This Venezuelan situation is far more serious than the western media reports. Even scarier for me is the silence of our politicians, as they callously go about proposing the socialization and redistribution of the US medicine and energy industries…and the liberal dogs just lap it up.
History repeating.
I don’t think the people that might want Chavez in the past tense need CNN to spur them on. There are likely many miffed Venezuelans that are already thinking of a demise for their peerless leader.
Hate to be a wet blanket here, but what makes anybody think that somebody who controls the state apparatus that will be conducting the election has any chance of losing? Even the Democrats in Washington State are smart enough to steal an election, even with opposition observers. Chavez’s thugs will make up any number they want and proclaim it “election results”.
Yes! Where do you think he gets his “bird-brain” ideas? Also notice it’s on his left shoulder!
Chavez and his People’s revolution, he should remember he doesn’t have a monopoly on “revolutions” in this part of the World…it is sort of their thing! Let the counter revolution begin, somebody tell the bird, before anyone gets too crazy GRIN.

I have noticed that Chavez is increasingly using ideas that “the prophet who shall not be named” used when writing his quidelines for his faithful followers, the Quran.
His ideas are so special, anyone who dares to take a contrary view is deemed a traitor, or in the case of the US, formulating a plan to kill him. This meglomaniacal (a psychiatric disorder in which the patient experiences delusions of great power and importance) nut case is paranoid (obsessively anxious about something, or unreasonably suspicious of other people and their thoughts or motives) to boot…an extremely dangerous combination!

Is Chavez an athiest? If he is how does that set well with his radical Muslim friends? This seems so strange that an athiest communist doing business with radical muslims.
But CNN supports communists??? How could this be?
