15 days for Mohammed teddy bear blasphemy; Video added

Update: Video- E.D. Hill and I discussed the verdict and foreign aid to Sudan.

***
The verdict is in. Guilty, of course.

British teacher Gillian Gibbons has been convicted of inciting religious hatred for letting her pupils name a teddy bear Muhammad and sentenced to 15 days in prison and deportation from Sudan, one of her defense lawyers said Thursday.
“The judge found Gillian Gibbons guilty and sentenced her to 15 days jail and deportation,” said Ali Mohammed Hajab, a member of her defense team.

Gibbons walked in without handcuffs, wearing a dark jacket and blue skirt, according to reporters in the courtroom before media were ordered out of the chamber. Riot police surrounded the courthouse.

She shouldn’t have to spend one second behind bars.

Where are the human rights groups, the feminists, the moderate Muslims?

I’ll be talking about the case shortly on Fox News.

Well, I for one am outrage – but I am confused about the protocol. Am I supposed to riot and burn down my own house and then blame the government for not stopping me? Or burn down my neighbors house and then blame the Muslims for provoking me? Or should I get 100-200 friends of mine together to flip over a few cars, torch the neighborhood and shoot at the police? Maybe we’re just supposed to riot in the streets and behead a few of the local Catholic school girls on their way home. I’m so confused. I just don’t know how to direct my rage about this! I feel really lame just talking about it on the internet with other people who share my disgust and anger about the Sudanese behavior.

You could go beat up some Christians. Make sure that they’re white males too. Anyone else and you could get into trouble.

If she was a liberal Dem, all of those ‘civil rights’ activists would be swarming over this story.

garyt: SAUSAGE you so much fullfill Jesus’s prophecies by stating how you must hate Him.

I love the big guy! I am a Christian but totally believe in the separation of church and state. Who wants a fundamentalist Christian to dictate political policy for a whole group of people? Not me…

Yes you will be seperated eternally from Him if you keep up with that attitude.

You must be an authority on judging peoples souls!

You are a prime example of why I believe in the separation of church and state is vital…

But God bless you anyway :)

This poor woman. The diplomats should push for her custody to be moved to them asap. One thing positive coming from this is some people that have not been paying attention to islam and it’s sharia laws are starting to hear this stuff and go..oh no….you guys are messed up don’t bring this to our land. THAT is a good thing.

I have such compassion for this woman that I’m hoping she’ll be deported soon away from this horrible mess. Where is the outrage that this woman has to even still be in custody? Especially from her countrymen! Just remember, you countrymen that choose to stay silent, YOU could be next without much due process and among stupid religious laws.

Has anyone heard any updates on this? I had read somewhere that the Brits were trying to negociate some kind of pardon to get her out of the country before the mobs execute her….

    Any truth to this?

Sort of missing the point of the whole fight.

Remember that Saudi Academy in Fairfax, VA? Yeah, their 1999 valedictorian joined Al Qaeda.
