The verdict is in. Guilty, of course.
British teacher Gillian Gibbons has been convicted of inciting religious hatred for letting her pupils name a teddy bear Muhammad and sentenced to 15 days in prison and deportation from Sudan, one of her defense lawyers said Thursday.
“The judge found Gillian Gibbons guilty and sentenced her to 15 days jail and deportation,” said Ali Mohammed Hajab, a member of her defense team.Gibbons walked in without handcuffs, wearing a dark jacket and blue skirt, according to reporters in the courtroom before media were ordered out of the chamber. Riot police surrounded the courthouse.
She shouldn’t have to spend one second behind bars.
Where are the human rights groups, the feminists, the moderate Muslims?

Our tax dollars are going to our enemies and therfore funding terrorist states, I would not give 2.6 cents to the Sudanese. Where is the money suppose to go, is it aid for Darfur because if it is I assure you the aid is’nt getting to those people. If the money is to be used by their gov. I’m sure it’s lining the pockets of who ever is in charge.

this is an outrage. but i have difficulty calling islam a religion. it was, i believe originally intended as a type of ruling/governing philosophy. we need to wake up and realize that by allowing it a religious status here in the states we cannot fight against its radical invasion.

I heard the bear just denounced Islam, came out as transgendered, wants to be called Muhammadia and is asking for a visa, safe passage, transportation and a place to live.
UPDATE:
Colorado has offered the bear sanctuary and a spot on the school board.
San Fransicko has offered sanctuary, a condo for life paid for by the taxpayers and a spot on the town council sitting next to the mayor.
She is lucky to be deported - it is a waste of time attempting to help or deal with barbarians, only the edge of a sword gets their attention.
If she makes it through her prison time, I hope she has heavy protection against those who called for death on her way out of the country.

If she is smart, and Britain is as well, they will hustle her out of there under armed guards and place her in protective custody and then move her and her family into hiding like they did with Rushdie, sinc ethose minorities are calling for her death. To think that there are so many insane people with such blood lust in their veins over the mere naming of a Teddy Bear, the international symbol of caring and comfort, I think most definately shows the true nature of their very souls…if they indeed had them.

Well, I for one am outrage - but I am confused about the protocol. Am I supposed to riot and burn down my own house and then blame the government for not stopping me? Or burn down my neighbors house and then blame the Muslims for provoking me? Or should I get 100-200 friends of mine together to flip over a few cars, torch the neighborhood and shoot at the police? Maybe we’re just supposed to riot in the streets and behead a few of the local Catholic school girls on their way home. I’m so confused. I just don’t know how to direct my rage about this! I feel really lame just talking about it on the internet with other people who share my disgust and anger about the Sudanese behavior.

This poor woman. The diplomats should push for her custody to be moved to them asap. One thing positive coming from this is some people that have not been paying attention to islam and it’s sharia laws are starting to hear this stuff and go..oh no….you guys are messed up don’t bring this to our land. I have such compassion for this woman that I’m hoping she’ll be deported soon away from this horrible mess. Where is the outrage that this woman has to even still be in custody?
