There <em>might</em> be a latent purpose to this sudden turnabout, but it might also be that the fine work by our men and women in Iraq is making such a case that even diehards like John Murtha know they have to change their stance. As much as I would like to think that this will put some of the issue to rest, I am rather certain that the Dems will just change tactics as usual. I still remember when it was 'impossible' to overturn Saddam. Then there was 'no way' that we were going to find him when he went into hiding... etc. I agree with pgtips (#28).
