Phoenix moves to repeal illegal alien sanctuary policy
Good news from Arizona today, where Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon has announced his city will move to repeal its open-borders sanctuary policy:
Amid growing controversy over Phoenix’s handling of immigration issues, Mayor Phil Gordon announced Monday that he would seek to end a controversial immigration enforcement policy.
The policy, Operations Order 1.4, prevents city police in most cases from asking about a person’s immigration status.
Gordon said Monday that he could no longer support the policy.
“When it was written, it was right for local law enforcement and our community,” Gordon told reporters. “But it was written in another time — and it was based on the premise that the federal government would fulfill all its responsibilities regarding immigration enforcement. Obviously, that has changed.”
The changed policy would allow police to notify Immigration and Customs Enforcement when any law has been violated by a person police suspect to be an illegal immigrant, a significant change that drew intense criticism from immigration advocates.
Oh, and the next time you hear open-borders radicals tell you that police officers support sanctuary, note this:
The policy’s opponents, including the president of Phoenix’s police union, want officers to have more discretion to contact immigration officials if they encounter undocumented immigrants.
Judicial Watch, a Washington-based conservative think tank, is weighing a lawsuit against Phoenix for the operations order.
Gordon and other city officials have said the order frees officers to concentrate on serious crimes and encourages undocumented immigrants to cooperate with the police. But it became a lightning rod for criticism this year, particularly after the shooting death of a Phoenix police officer by an illegal immigrant. Critics have cited the policy in branding Phoenix a “sanctuary city” for undocumented immigrants.
Still have a long way to go, but every step counts…

Sad news – that it may have taken the life of a law enforcement officer to help Phoenix see the light. Very sad.
Now for LA, San Francisco, Oakland, etc., etc., ad nauseum.
Fantabulous ! Let’s hope this trend catches on.
Very good news and goes hand in hand with the new legislation passed by the state to hold employers accountable for hiring illegal invaders. Considering the recent murder of an Arizona law enforcement officer stopping a violent illegal invader for jay walking I can understand why they would be behind this measure.
Well blow me down….
/popeye mode off
Hey does anyone think Antonio VillarLaRaza will suggest repealing Special Order 40 for the LAPD? Hmm probably not. But he will promise to help fight gang violence. He will spend millions of dollars on it. But he won’t start by taking a whack at a large group who commits the crimes………….drum roll……illegal alien gang members.
A background preview of this action.
Another sob story about future “chaos” if the sanctuary policy is reversed. Pathetic.
I’m looking forward to law and order after years of the chaos of sanctuary lunacy.
Oh may I also say the writing is on the wall folks. The tide is beginning to shift. Gracias to all you out there who marched around with your Mexican flag in hand and woke up the rest of the country. How do you say que problemo with a mid-west accent?
It is sad that an American police officer died at war with an illegal alien invasion. Perhaps, America should declare war, and secure the southern border.
So which two liberal bastions will come along and decide they will replace them? You know, not to be outdone, the liberal Mayors will just do the opposite. I would like to know how many sanctuary cities pop up on a monthly basis (linked with the rise in crime).
Someone claiming I am a bigot in
5…4…3…
As best as I can recall, the idea of sanctuary began innocently enough with New York’s mayor Ed Koch looking to give immunity from deportation to illegals who were themselves victims of crimes in order to encourage them to ID and testify against their attackers. Fair enough, as immunizing low level offenders to bring down kingpins is a standard prosecutorial tactic. But now, this has spiraled out of control as social services interests look upon “sanctuaried” illegals as a bonanza of taxpayer funding.
Progress, because of the blood of another fallen hero. May God rest his Soul and comfort his family.
It’s about time
Good, now Phoenix admits they were wrong. If McCain could hammer away how wrong he was on immigration, I think he’d be a shoe-in for the nomination.
I disagree with a lot of what he has done other than amnesty. But at least he doesn’t scare me like some of the other R front-runners do.
I was so happy to see this in the news, finally the beginning of a formal move to repeal this policy.
We’ve had lots of illegal alien issues in AZ and that easily preventable death of an officer was what it sadly took to make people start realizing what was happening.
I believe Phoenix is also working in conjunction with ICE to gain immigration enforcement training for their officers, just like Sheriff Joe has done with the MCSO.
So called “sanctuary cities” should be cut off from all federal funding.
One has to wonder exactly why “we can’t deport 12 -20 million illegals?” We keep hearing that, but if you couple enforcement, as Phoenix is trying to do, with punishment for employers, and border enforcement/wall, a real deportation program along with attrition will take care of most of the problem. Add to that laws written to make sure a child born in this country can have no greater citizenship status than his/her parents, and a “family reunification begins in the home country” program, and I think you have it licked!
Even if it only took care of half the problem, it would be a great start!
The Governor of Arkansas, (Mike Beebe), has pretty much made the state a “sanctuary state” by saying that, “immigration enforcement is a federal job”. I will not spend Arkansas’ money to enforce immigration law, and I won’t raise your taxes to get the money to enforce the law”…or something very close to that. Tyson, Walmart, Stephens, Inc. and others have great influence in Arkansas.
Dimsdale,
No one is willing to do that because it will cost them “votes”.
Politics as usual.
Railroaded Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean had their appeals heard by the 5th Circuit Court today. Apparently, government counsel as much as admitted that their star witness, an illegal-alien drug smuggler, lied to them. As if they didn’t know that before the original trial started.
The silence from both the MSM and blog media is deafening.
I am ashamed of those rant about everything else but let the open-borders crowd persecute American citizens for upholding our laws.
How about covering this travesty of justice, MM?
You are exactly right, it most certainly CAN be done. The illegal supporters and apologist don’t want it done..that’s why it isn’t happening, not because it can’t be done.
This is from this story:
Even with my meager income, I’ll bet I paid more taxes last year than he ever has. I’d also ask if he pays his own medical insurance and bills.
Good times all around…one city or county at a time….it did not happen overnight….it will not end overnight but it will end.
I heard that Prince William County VA’s illegal immigrant law has been upheld.
Inch by inch, step by step…we will get that border secured and deportation through attrition.
Build the fence and enforce the law. Simple concepts without nuance that will work.
Junkin—
AMEN!
It is that simple.
We could all take a page from Oklahoma’s book. They
wrote their anti illegal immigrant law in such a way that the court had to uphold it. Must have really p.o.ed
the ACLU and the pro illegal groups. Also heard HRC
was booed by pro illegals because she wouldn’t
commit to putting illegals on the road to legalization
in the first one hundred days of her presidency.
Those not in Arizona need to know a couple of things about this change of policy in Phoenix …
First, although this officer’s tragic death was highly publicized, it was far from the first officer lost to illegal alien activity in Phoenix …
Second, others need to know that a lot of pressure was already on the Mayor and the City Council regarding the policy from several directions and this one finally put him on the spot enough to demand action …
Third, many thanks to J.D.Hayworth, our former Congressman, who has been unrelenting in attacking the mayor and city council on his radio show in Phoenix every single day on this issue since losing the last election …
Fourth, thanks to Sheriff Joe for putting pressure on the city by joining the ICE program and training every officer in the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office and putting illegals in jail …
Fifth, before anyone asks, the answer is “NO” … you can’t have Sheriff Joe or J.D.
*howard dean scream*
he had to get that last jibe in where it’s not completely his fault.
“But it was written in another time — and it was based on the premise that the federal government would fulfill all its responsibilities regarding immigration enforcement. Obviously, that has changed.”
first, it’s truly unbelievable that such a policy would be needed if it was assumed the federal gov’t ‘fulfill(ed) all its responsibilities regarding immigration enforcement.’ second, how does this policy help ensure the federal gov’t ‘fulfill all its..’.blah blah? it seems to directly counter any policy the federal gov’t has. and last, ‘obviously that has changed’, i’d like to know what exactly he thinks has changed. does he really understand why he’s seeking to repeal this law, or is he doing it because he’s looking at polls? his statement leads me to the latter.
and i don’t mean ‘his fault’ meaning him personally, but the city’s fault.
Re: Act for America.com
The bi-partisan SAVE Act (S. 2366 & S. 2368) will require ALL employers to use the electronic verification system to keep illegal aliens out of U.S. jobs.
With 112 co-sponsors already on the House version (H.R. 4088), House Speaker Pelosi may feel pressured enough to allow it to come to a vote after Congress returns in January. With a similar version just introduced in the Senate, this bill to severely limit illegal immigration may be Congress’s best chance to achieve substantial immigration reform with this Congress.
Uhhh, call your Congress person.
Please, please, Deseertlover. Can’t we just borrow
Sheriff Joe and J.D. for a little while.
When I was a child I lived in Alhambra, Glendale and
one summer in Parker. Still love Arizona, but love
Texas more and we’re losing Texas.
Sorry. It was Townhall.com

Elite leftist loon discovers that not everyone in Arizona thin they live in Aztlan. Tries to cover his ass before he is ordered to address the gardener in Spanish by the local (un)Equal Rights Council.
Hallelujah and pass the collection plate, the prodigal children may have finally seen the light. I think the fundamental problem with all these pro-illegal immigrant, PC, and diversity-movement people is that they fail to acknowledge that the United States has a unique culture that is just as valid as any other nation’s. Just because we are a young nation (although as Steyn pointed out in his Thanksgiving column, not as young in many ways as much of Europe) made up of an immigrant population does not mean that we have do not have a culture and national identity that is clearly distinguishable from any other nation on the planet. It is the melting pot, not the diversity, that has made us the most powerful nation on earth. It is the individual striving for success that has made us wealthy and prosperous. It is the protection of individual rights to property, privacy, self-defense, speech and religion that fosters and allows innovation, creativity and productiveness. Individuals, not villages built this country. Being a nation of laws allows the protection of these rights. Without enforcement of those laws (including immigration laws), the rights erode and this great experiment in human freedom and prosperity fails.
Phoenix’s rethinking of their sanctuary ordinance shows that someone in the city gov’t is beginning to understand that.
There’s a man I’ve always liked. Before he moved to Arizona and became a congressman, he was a sportscaster on WYFF News in SC. He was pretty darned good at it, too.
Being soft on illegal immigration is becoming increasingly risky for politicians. If the people keep pressuring the politicians long enough they’ll have to solve the problem. I agree that illegal immigrants can be encouraged to move on their own by removing the rewards for being here.
There is one form of amnesty I would be in favor of. Illegal immigrants would not be charged if they were voluntarily crossing the border on their way out.
It is embarassing to live in Texas with our local city ignoring the invasion – hopefully this will change in the next few months.
I recently read that we need about a million more
illegals or there will be no harvests this year. I also
read that a lot of the illegals in California that usually
go home between harvests are not going back to Mexico this year because of the fires.
What I want to know is, where are all of the illegals that worked the harvests last year and what are they
doing to earn a living? Surely we don’t have so many
job that “Americans won’t do” that we have to keep
constantly importing these people.
I know of a man, dead now, who used to go to
Mexico where he would find people, tell them that
if they could get themselves to point A at such and
such a time on a certain day, that someone would
be there to pick them up and he would give them a
job with a bogus ssn to boot. He would hire them
for a certain amount of time and then cut them loose. He didn’t make certain they went back to
Mexico, he just let them go. In time, he repeated the process, again and again and again.
Maybe I heard it wrong, but I heard she was booed because she said “comprehensive”, ie., amnesty, immigration reform would be one of the first things she would do.
Translation:
“It’s Bush’s fault.”
Sad truths:
Until we secure our border none of this matters very much in the larger scheme of things. How many illegal aliens have been deported on numerous occasions only to slip back across the border?
INS, ICE or whatever the alphabet org of the day may be, does very little to help employers identify potential employees that are here illegally. I remember one guy coming in applying for a job with a photo taped on the outside of his green card. INS (At the time) refused to verify his green card number or identity and would only tell us that “this practice does happen” so we had no means to know legal from illegal when people applied.
Until we enforce current laws and weed out worthless causes, laws and other methods of actively obstructing justice, the fight will continue and we all will lose.
This does not even begin to touch all of the “Security Officials” we have in sensitive positions who have a difficult time conveying messages in understandable English. (I can name three airports personally but I am certain there are more)
Until we clean up our own backyard, it will continue to stink. This is a start but it is not enough in the long run. Still, starting the journey at least involves beginning to take steps so it does at least bring a small sense of hope.
The excuse for sanctuary cities is always that the police need illegals to report crime without fear.
As one mayor said, if that was true, why is LA, a sanctuary city, experiencing huge crime waves?
Sosa is a Immigrants Without Borders Activist
I sure wish his statement would hit the front pages.
For those who missed it above:
“Most of us, we come to work and we are contributing to this country more than anyone else,” Sosa said.
Luis Sosa is also wellliked by the Socialists.
And they’re going to march against our border patrol guys, Compean and Ramos.
.
He sure gets around.
Do you have a link for that story Michelle? Couldn’t find it anywhere, and I wanted to see if it had the details about Vermont (because VT is indicated on that map from the Times included in your post). I just want to know about the details. I know Burlington Mayor Bob Kiss tried to push for a “sanctuary city” in summer 2006, but am curious about whatever the state legislation is.
Desert – i remember when visiting Arizona (Phoenix area) that Mesa, Tempe and Scottsdale were in very close proximity to Phoenix…so much so they seemed to run together. Is Phoenix the only sanctuary city in that area?
If so which of the others are and does this present a problem enforcing their new immigration stance?
Just curious.
So let me get this straight..the joker running the country says we can’t deport 12 to 20 illegal immigrants. But we can win a war against a muslim extremeist group who is taught to hate us from birth. HHHMMMMMMMM!
feebiebabe
As far as I am aware it is just Phoenix … I am basing belief on the fact that there are numerous raids on illegal “safe” houses in the cities you mentioned that involve both federal and local law enforcement …
Desert – thanks, I appreciate it!!!
Oh, but of course.
I am so sick of this crap from lawbreaking squatters justifying their contributions on the back of US taxpayers.
It takes taxpayer subsidies to make illegal immigration work. If they had to pay for anything besides their rent or food and basic necessities not including health care and car insurance— it is an unworkable situation for them.
Yet, the Pelosi’s, Bush’s, Boxer’s and Feinstein’s of the world “believe” they deserve more– and we deserve to have our Nation bankrupted.
Perhaps they should try on for size what would be the benefits if 20,000,000 of these “contributors” just went home tomorrow.
Test the myth of “A Day without a Mexican”.
I sent an article to MM a few days ago.
It was by Tina Griego and the data and stats are from the Center for Immigration Statistics. Sourced from a paid site so I can’t link.
But here is a sampling of the down side of all that Sosa and the rest of his ilk are “contributing”— more than any of us you understand.
And for all you liberal trolls out there who will call this racist- go suck an egg, first of all, and second, come up with some countering statistics before you allege anything of the sort.
I am one angry American who has one side of my family that did it the right way when they emigrated from Mexico in the early 20th century. They filed papers and waited- risking death at the hands of the Mexican government.
People today from Mexico have zero excuse for breaking our laws. So don’t bring any weak kneed allegations of racism or xenophobia or “it used to be theirs”. It used to be the holdings of grantees from the Spanish throne and later of the Imperial Government of Mexico. So ya can’t sell this whack about it being “the people’s land.”
But I digress. Here’s the top 15 points raised in Griego’s piece. Hope I didn’t violate any “fair use” laws. I quoted stuff that are excerpted verbatim.
All credit goes to Griego.
1. If 3.5 illegal aliens left California today it would leave $10.2 billion of our tax dollars to spend on schools, hospitals and prisons.
2. Highways would become cleaner, safer and less congested.
3. English would become the dominant language again– no more “press 1 for Spanish”.
4. If 500,000 illegal migrants and their 300,000 kids and grandkids left Colorado there would over 2 billion dollars available to spend on schools, hospitals, and prisons. 12,000 gang bangers would be gone overnight. 7300 criminals and the related $20,000,000 in costs would not be likely to be repeated.
5. Denver Public Schools would not have experienced a 67 per cent flunk out rate from schools where 41 languages are spoken. 200,000 cars would be removed from Colorado cities
6. 1.5 million illegals in Florida would allow the state to return to the USA, following the rule of law and english as the official language.
7. 2.1 million illegals in Chicago leaving would free up resources in- yes, you guessed it: education, health care and jails.
8. If all illegals were sent home, and employers paid wages “on the books” to US citizens, the IRS would collect over $400 billion in taxes from legal wages paid.
9. “No more confusion in American schools that now must content with over 100 languages that degrade the educational system for American kids. Our overcrowded schools would lose more than two million illegal alien kids at a cost of billions in ESL and free breakfasts and lunches.”
10. “We would lose 500,000 illegal criminal alien inmates at a cost of more than $1.6 billion annually. That includes 15,000 MS-13 gang members who distribute $130 billion in drugs annually would vacate our country. In cities like L.A., 20,000 members of the “18th Street Gang” would vanish from our nation.”
11. No more Mexican forgeries and ID thefts.
12. No more $80 billion in cash transfers out of the USA, with more than half untaxed.
13. “At least 400,000 anchor babies would not be born in our country, which cost us $109 billion per year per cycle.
”
14.At least 86 hospitals in California, Georgia and Florida would still be operating instead of being bankrupted out of existence because illegals pay nothing via the EMTOLA Act. Americans wouldn’t suffer thousands of TB and hepatitis cases rampant in our country — brought in by illegals unscreened at our borders.”
15. (DRUM ROLL PLEASE) “Our cities would see 10 million less people driving, polluting and grid locking our cities. It would also put the “secular progressives” on the horns of a dilemma; illegal aliens and their families cause 11 percent of our greenhouse gases.”
The USDA reported just over a year ago that only 18 per cent of our seasonal agricultural workforce is illegal.
If you come to Berkeley and go to the carwash just off campus, you will see that their workforce of 100 is 100 per cent illegal, 24/7. The owner is a big mucky-d-muck with the Speaker of the Assembly, State of California. His nickname is “Ray Conquista”.
They’re serious.
In San Francisco, they use the term “immigrant community” to refer to people who are receiving public aid, being defended by scum socialist commie attorneys, or holding down jobs in the hospitality industry in the city’s many hotels and motels (but according to most liberal trolls on this blog– it’s racist to call that what it is “because we can’t tell just by looking at people if they are illegal or not.”
Oh ya? lol Sometimes it is more than painfully obvious– but most of the time it is obvious. Sorry, it’s a cultural thang. American Mexicans just have a way about us. Call it “Cholo Radar”— call it a survival skill. Just can’t call it racism.
“Immigrant community” my left foot.
Following the logic of having sanctuary cities, let’s not check “wants and warrants” on possible criminals anymore. If we do that, maybe criminals will cooperate with the police to report other criminals and crimes. That way, police can concentrate on “serious” crimes. And, following the same logic, since criminals will rob banks…because they have to make a living too…let’s set up banks for criminals to rob. These banks can be by state borders, so when the robbers flee to another state, the police can say, “Hey, that’s a federal problem” and let them go. Maybe we can set up “daycare” centers for “day robbers”. That way, people can pick up criminals to rob banks, and split it with them. It makes about as much sense as what these santuaries say.
I’ll see it when I believe it.
I think this is just lip service from ‘Filmstrip’ Phil.
Thank God for Andrew Thomas and Sheriff Joe.
How ironic that ground zero for illegal Islamists would rescind the stupid sanctuary policy? Is McCain starting to apply some heat to gain in the polls?
Damn, I keep forgetting.
Ages ago Michelle had us write our state AG, about Sanc Cities…
I got a letter in reply, and it wasn’t half as bad as I expected. I must re-find it and scan it and send it to Michelle… It’s fairly interesting, an I think it would interest Illinois folks.
Let’s all remember that Bill Richardson, Governor of New Mexico, is running for President. And guess what?!? He has made New Mexico a sanctuary state! This man knows he has no chance of the Presidency but wants to be vice-President on someone’s/anyone’s ticket. He is exactly the kind of politician who shares responsibility for the illegal invasion mess we are in!!!! While Bush has been irresponsible to say the least, governors and mayors like Richardson are the politicians actually implementing policy that allows illegal aliens to stay here. A pity that it took the death of a police officer to wake Phoenix up.
Bottom line: Do not elect politicians like Richardson!!!!
I believe it will cost them votes if they don’t do anything about this issue. The lack of political will, is stunning, the Democrats are waking up, this isn’t a partisan issue, this is an American issue. Why can’t we have orderly immigration? Immigrants that want to come in and become American Citizens, learn the language adopt the culture. I am not anti immigrant. That is what is wrong with the whole national dialoge.
The Politicians are trying to confuse Immigration with Cheap Alien Laborers. I don’t think there is anything compassionate about human trafficking so “Some” of corporate America can satisfy their bottom line. The MSM doesn’t report enough on what happens to the folks, that pay dearly to sneak into this country to work. Compassionate? Not from start to finish. Removing the illegal alien workforce, from some businesses, amounts to taking the pacifier out of the baby’s mouth. They really need to be weaned off of cheap exploited alien laborers, and in the meantime, people need to remember, alot of those people are just trying to keep their familys going. I don’t think they would be here if there were not American Businesses, luring them here. Wheres the Fence?
Bear, good one.
In San Francisco there is a health insurance program funded by Federal Tax dollars available to illegal immigrants. A version to them, similar to SCHIP and Medicade.
Fabulous, ain’t it!!!
I have this on Power of One Vote on Townhall blogs,
dated Oct 18, 2007, and, like Bear, I may have inadvertently infringed on (c) but I did give Jeff Poor
all credit for article from which I quoted verbatim.
This is from his article on newsblog.org entitled,
“Evening News” Distressed Over Plight Of Illegal
Immigrants..this is from a study by the Heritage
Foundation. In this study a household headed by an
individual with a high school education, which includes
about 2/3s of illegal aliens, costs US taxpayers more than $32,000.00 in federal, state and local
benefits. That same family contributes an average of $9,000.00 a year in taxes, resulting in a net burden of $22,229.00 a year.
Over the next ten years, the constant net cost of low-skill households (immediate benefits received
minus taxes paid) is likely to be at least $3.9 trillion, according to Robert Rector, author of the
study.
We are constantly being told that the country cannot afford to be without these illegals. I have
worked with numbers for a good portion of my life, and that argument just doesn’t fly when you start
working the numbers. I am certain that we would
pay higher costs for products if our costs were reduced in other ways. Then the numbers would add up.
This from Rose…Once again, greed seems to be
winning. Greed of Mexico for the dollars sent home
by illegals and the removal of a dissatisfied underclass from Mexico to our country. Greed of
business owners who want to keep their bottom
lines as low as possible and their profits as high as
possible. Greed of the people who are manipulating
these people to further their own political ambitions
and greed of the illegal aliens for benefits and better living conditions (at least this greed I can understand).
What I can never understand and will never applaud
is the willingness to deliberately thumb their noses
at the law of the land that is being so good to them. I cannot understand the people that push and push for everyone to deliberately break the law, even when they are the very people that were voted into office, usually on a law and order platform.
However, when I hear, “This was Mexico before and it’s Mexico again,” all I can think to say to that is,
“REMEMBER THE ALAMO!!!!!”
RE: TX Rose Post

Correction…$22,229.00 should have been $22,449.00
The Apache were in Texas, and they were raiding south of what is now, the southern border of Texas. Ask the Apaches, if they were living in Mexico before, what became Texas SMILE. Ask the American Indians, they will tell you that the people from the south, have invaded before…before there was a USA. Of course nothing stops them from spreading their propaganda, especially not the MSM.

All,
This is a link to Apache history if indeed the south east, belongs to Mexico because they claim they were here first…someone needs to tell the Apaches, who dwelled all over the SE and would raid deep into Mexico. I have heard blips in the News if people listen they will catch it. The people from the South have invade before. Below Apache history.
http://www.tsha.utexas.edu/handbook/online/articles/AA/bma33.html
Sorry not SE SW south west.
Laree, #61 is right, the native indians in texas, new mexico, arizona and california have considerable differences as to ‘who was here first’. Without the Spanish (white men from Europe) they (Mexicans) would not have been able to come across. They would have to fight the Cherokee or the Commanchee, tough warriors all, which they could not before without the ‘tools’ of the Europeans. This blatant re-writing of history will hopefully not work much longer.
as well as the apache..
They were formidable opponents who developed strategies for fighting on horseback with traditional weapons. Warfare was a major part of Comanche life. The dreaded Comanche raids into
Sometimes I think that “they” are ignoring Mexican
history because “they” talk about European invaders
taking our country away from Mexico. Well, excuse me, but the last time that I looked, Spain was in
Europe and Mexicans are Spaniards + Mayan, Aztec,
etc. In other words, for Mexicans, as Pogo said, “We
looked at the enemy and it is us.” They are their own
invaders.
(I may not have quoted Pogo word for word..and older couple we know are always quoting him).
uhangtight,
The Commanchee were winning when they fought the Apache, and as history states, there wasn’t anything that compared to an Apache warrior in battle. I have heard on cablenews outlets maybe two American Indians, in blips, point out, that the people from the south, have invaded before. I guess the facts are not pertinent SMILE.
I have read that part of Arizona’s problem is the
Tohono Odham (?) reservation which crosses the border of Arizona into Mexico. Supposedly a lot of
illegals come through that way and the border patrol
cannot stop them because it is reservation land. Now,
being part Cherokee, I do understand Indian rights, but, I also understand invasion, and this is exactly what is happening to our country.
It all started in the 60s with the first amnesty. Then, we had another amnesty in the 80s. Everytime there is an amnesty or talk of an amnesty,
here THEY come! Word does go out in Mexico and
Central America. However, Mexicans are just the
largest and most visible Ilegals. We have illegals from every country on earth in our country.
Not all Illegals are out to cut off your head and rob you, I agree many of them need to be sent back, but our immigration needs a full overhaul. Some people DO want to be Americans, some have no Criminal Record, but because of stupid un-needed procedures, many simply can’t affoard to do it, and must live in fear. People like those in CA that cut our flag down and placed up the Mexican flag need to go back, now a family that comes here, have kids, pay there dues, yet can’t affoard the bill, yet are pro american and have a child here should stay. Or even if its someone that lives here, and is loyal and not using Goverment programs. Of course, hell with em, pack em all up, place the kids where ever, END IMMIGRATION.

, I doubt it will be on this site, but here we have a man thats fought with distiction for the US and due to Goverment BS he may be sent off. A man that has more honor, and more love for this Country than many “Citizens” even some of you.
TXRose,
The Pima reservation? Isn’t that the Indian Tribe. I remember representatives on the Factor, so long ago I couldn’t remember the time frame, complaining that the tribe, had like 25 law enforcement, and that they complained to the Federal Govt for help.
The Federal Govt., is the part of the Govt involved with Indian Afairs.. The same Federal Govt., that isn’t enforcing our laws, in the first place. The gist of the interview amounted to them complaining, showing photos of the distruction of the desert, the huge amount of garbage left behind. They said, all the Federal Govt., did was give them some money to clean it up! I don’t think it has been cleaned up yet? Even if they did clean it up, more will come through and create more waste. There were members of the tribe living on both sides of the border. Still that doesn’t make Mexicans or “ANYONE” else coming in through the reservation legal. The ANYONE else is who I am really concerned about so were people who were representing the tribe. They were not just complaining about the garbage they were complaining that the human trafficking was so heavy, there was no way they could police it all by themselves. To this day I don’t know if they have gotten any help from their Govt., that they sent a warning out to..which amounted to me, as an SOS a distress signal.
It was so long ago I can’t remember if it was this Indian Tribe representatives, that were on the Factor. Does anyone else remember that segment? This link below is from 2004

I thought it was a name that I could not pronounce.
I could be wrong. I do know that the Arizona border
could not look any worse than the Texas border. It is
such a mess in places down there where they have set
up their tent and box, etc “citiies” and also on the
property on the border where they cross and just dump everything they don’t want. They also will kill
livestock and take a chunk out of the body to eat and
leave the rest there to rot. One of my cousins has that
problem on his land. He has had to electrify as much of his fence line as possible and they still get
through. He also has found bodies, some of them
small children (especially little girls that have been
gang raped) and babies. It is so horrible that the US
government and Mexican governments should put a stop to it for humane reasons.
One night he caught Mexican army personnel on his
land and they all played, “Quines mas macho,” with
their guns. By the time they were through he said he was sweating bullets because he knew he was
outgunned, but he and his three teenaged sons, with his daughter and wife in the house, were not
going to back down.
TXRose,
That is what I meant in my comment #55 There is nothing compassionate about human trafficking, not from start to finish. If people were really wanting to be humane, they would never let fellow human beings be exposed to some of the most monsterous practices…that don’t get reported on enough in the MSM. Remember we had a tractor trailer full of people, outside of Victoria, that were locked in and left to die. Those folks went to prison but it didn’t stop anything.
This is the Indian Reservation, I was referring to, this is a report about a 1 year ago. I don’t see any current news on what steps are being taken about any of this Tribes concerns. Their concerns – concern all of us. Talk about people burying their heads in the sand. Arizona is John McCain country what is he doing?

The MSM don’t want people to know what is going on
on the borders. They want you to think these people
are simply walking in from Mexico without any hardship or without adversely affecting the U.S. in any
way. If there are hardships (on the illegals) it is all Our
fault because we are not furnishing food and water at
the border. We are not building highways and bridges
that would make it easier for them to come across.
Where we lived on the border, they could wade across
without getting wet above the knees, unless they fell down and for the longest time I couldn’t figure
out why they were called wet backs.
No, what is happening on the border is not in line with the MSMs idea of what illegals are and what they are doing and how they are impacting the U.S.
#71- Possibly 20 million illegals now in this country and the best you can do is find an article on someone who appears to have come here legally and now is getting grief from the government bureaucracy for bad paperwork. The man is serving the U.S., has legal representation, has the military on his side, and appears to have other government departments helping him. It doesn’t appear that he is being hung out to dry. To infer that this has a lot to do with illegal immigration in general is pathetic. Also, since you do not personally know the character of those posting here, you should not presume to judge who has more love for this country than others.
I was thinking the same thing. This happens, what, a day after ‘he got the message’?
I tell you, I’m surprised about Anchorage being a sanctuary city. Considering all the flights in from China, there’s how your spys are getting in.

Here’s some news from the southeast: Illegal immigrant arrests in South quadruple
It’s great that they’re arresting these lawbreakers, but it’s really disturbing that they’re even here in the first place.
