Then why do some minority children call other minority children who do well in school “schoolboy” or “schoolgirl” or acting white? Is it possible that these same children can learn on their own with the help of a white or minority teacher?. Seems in a lot of cases they can. The secret to learning is wanting to learn and no matter of how much money is spent on students they won’t learn if they don’t want to.

I have often thought that just as the person that thinks every one is out to steal
from him is actually a thief at heart, I often think those that constantly scream
racism are actually the biggest racists. I know that I don’t seem to see racism
even 1/32 or less that these people do. I actually think that a lot of what they
think is racism is someone just being un-pc and I have to, at times applaud that.
We need less yelling about racism and more talk that doesn’t have to be filtered
through the pc screen.
I had an older cousin that somehow learned about Bill Dana and Jose Jimenez. He
used to do jose Jimenez for us and I thought it was hilarious. Not because I was
racist, but because it was funny. At the time we lived on the border and I would
have jumped in if anyone had insulted one of my Hispanic friends and guess what?
They too thought Jose Jimenez was funny.

This crap about how only whitey is “impersonal and intellectual” while minorities are “emotional” is damning evidence of what the diplomatic among us call the “soft bigotry of low expectations” but what I call condescending racism.

It falls apart on so many levels, it’s hard to know where to begin: the wholesale stereotyping of people by skin color, the glaring inability to reconcile why so many Asians don’t fit into the “poor little brown victims of white structural racism” corral, the masochistic pseudo-intellectual self-flagellation.

“Diversity” is just reverse-racism and two-wrongs-make-a-right foolishness that is the Emperor’s New Clothes of our time. Along with its handmaiden “Multi-Culturalism,” it has all but eradicated the old ideal of Pluralism; taken together, “Diversity” and “Multi-Culturalism” act like an AIDS virus on society, weakening the system from within until it no longer has the strength to defend itself.

If Glenn Singleton wants to find racists, all he has to do is look in the mirror. If he wants to defeat racism, all he has to do is jump off of a tall building.

Heck, I wasn’t aware of this particular sucking off the gov’t teet. Now that I am aware of it I am more than willing to tell teachers and school kids that I’m a devil because I have pale skin and that because of that I use language to communicate ideas, concepts and information instead of to just talking smack about my boyz. Now where do I get my 6 figures for being a racist prick.

I pulled my kid out of school because of a similar “dont want the other kids to feel bad about themselves” kind of attitude. I dont care how the other kids feel, I want my kid to learn.

Speaking of Ebonics…

I once had a black teacher when I was in elementary school. During a spelling test, she called out the words and the students would write them on their paper to be graded. One of my words was marked as incorrect; I had spelled “flow”. When I showed my test to my mother she couldn’t understand why it was marked as mispelled. The next day, Mom went to the teacher. The teacher responded that it was… “not ‘flow’ but ‘flow’, you know the type of ‘flow’ that you walk on, F-L-O-O-R!”

That was nearly 40 years ago and Mom and I still laugh about that. Overall, my school years were exceptional and I actually learned things that have helped me to succeed. It scares me to read what is happening in the school systems now.

Seems to me like he’s saying that white people shouldn’t expect minorities to complete tasks or acheive goals, because they’re not capable of doing so.

I think that might be the most racist idea I’ve ever seen expressed, but my disagreement gets ME hauled off for re-education while the people he slimes applaud.

When my children were young, they attended a chapter one elementary school where minorities outnumbered whites. One day my daughter’s hispanic teacher ridiculed her in front of the class for being “Miss Perfect” because she got straight A’s on all her work. This devastated my little girl, who thought the teacher would be proud of her for doing well. Luckily, she continued to do well in school because she had a mother who insisted she do her best no matter what others said about her. Had it not been years later before I found out about this incident, this teacher and I would have had a very “personal” and “emotional” talk.

I also had an Asian neighbor whose children did very well in school. I noticed that they were very involved in their children’s education and insisted they do their homework and more. I also noticed that other children (minority or otherwise) who did well in school also had at least one parent who was involved in their education and who insisted they do their best and do their homework. This is the key to achievement in school, not some PC nonsense about diversity and teaching styles.

Just another example of diversity being the mother of incompetence. I will say the language of the black sub-culture: hip hop, athletes, comedians, gang members, dog trainers is mystifying and by definition, diverse. However, for the sake of diversity it will get you a law degree at Michigan, Michigan State, and Easter Michigan (I think Eastern offers specialization in Foot Bath Law).

In other words…speaking in a intelligent manner is a bad thing? Good lord! I guess we all need to learn Ebonics…white people that is. Remember there was an educator in California who tried to advance the idea the Ebonics was genetic. (Funny how black people from other countries don’t talk like that.)

Rush has often pointed out that liberalism is driven by emotion and that is very true. Common sense, logic, and rational thinking rarely comes into play with the left.
