In a while longer this will happen again and the same thing will occur. People will want to know why, ultimately there will be no answers, out of fear of race riots, nothing will be done to punish the offenders yadda yadda yadda. The communities know this, and that is why it continues to happen. They actually use these riots as an excuse, as was witnessed in L.A. It happens repeatedly. Juries know this as well as prosecutors. This is why some cases do not get prosecuted…in order to keep peace.

Hate to be the pessimist, but mark my word and watch what happens.

I think you have me pegged as someone who is an apologist for bad behavior – I am not.

As far as hate crimes go – I don’t believe this is necessary. Most crimes aren’t committed out of love. That said, if we are going to have hate crimes, it is nice to see them applied to all races.

I think I disagree 30. I think that in a too large segment of black society that these heinous, senseless acts are central to the community. Just as they are central to the lifestyle of hispanic society that embraces MS13, and to the lifestyle of white skinheads and meth-cookers.

Deepdiver, thanks but I think I should clarify. My post was in response to post #64. Dread, used a very broad brush to paint black communities on the whole. My rebuttal was simple – not all black communities wallow the activities he/she enumerated.

My mother recently move from South Philadelphia. Every other day, there was a shooting on her street. In fact, one kid was shot dead a few feet from her doorstep. I pleaded with my mother to move. It took awhile but she finally moved. She now resides in West Oak Lane. This area is predominantly black and isn’t completely free of their issues; however, you have block captains and neighborhood watch. Overall decent people who care for their neighborhood and their neighbors. You aren’t going to hear about this people in the news. There are good black communities out there and I take exception when those people in the black community who do good don’t get a fair shake. Much like your sentiment regarding Bill Cosby, Thomas Sowell, etc… These are the people who should be revered.

Where exactly do we disagree? I’m not seeing it in anything that you wrote. I completely agree with you.

Source says no video tape of beating on bus

Thanking you for the link. This Hartford Examiner article implies disappointment on the part of Maryland prosecutors regarding a lack of videotape:

Prosecutors were hoping the videotape could provide evidence to corroborate the version of the attack told to them by Sarah Kreager.

My understanding, so far, is that prosecutors have Sarah’s boyfriend, the bus driver, another assaulted victim, and the lady who saved Sarah’s life, outside of the bus, as witnesses.

Am I wrong to believe that any lack of videotape hurts the allegations by the nine adolescent animals who administered the beatings? These animals claim that Sarah invited her own vicious beating by initially spitting on them. Without any videotape, this “saliva defense” is going to be rather difficult to prove, no?

The Hartford Examiner doesn’t seem to explore this possibility.
