The murder of Aqsa Parvez
The nightmare of sharia is alive in Canada. Shame, shame, shame:
A Mississauga, Ont. man will be formally charged on Tuesday with murder in connection with the death of his 16-year-old daughter.
The girl, Aqsa Parvez, was in critical condition on Monday after being strangled, apparently after a dispute with her family over her refusal to wear the hijab, the Islamic headscarf worn by some Muslim women.
However Peel Regional Police said Tuesday the girl died late Monday night.
Police arrested the victim’s 57-year-old father, Muhammad Parvez on Monday morning after receiving a 911 call from a Mississauga home from a man saying he had killed his daughter. He is due to appear on Tuesday in a Brampton, Ont. court.
The victim’s 26-year-old brother, Waqas Parvez, was also charged with obstructing police.
Friends of the teenager, a Grade 11 student at Applewood Heights high school, said Monday they were shocked by the attack on the outgoing, likeable girl, but said she had been threatened by her strictly religious family before.
Ebonie Mitchell, 16, a friend of the victim, said the conflict with her father over wearing Islamic dress came to a head at the beginning of this school year. “She just wanted to dress like we do,” she said. “Last year, she wore like the Islamic stuff and everything, the hijab, and this year she’s all western. She just wanted to look like everyone else.”
Fellow students of Aqsa’s spoke to the National Post. Said one:
‘‘She wanted to live her life the way she wanted to, not the way her parents wanted her to. She just wanted to be herself, honestly she just wanted to show her beauty, and not be pushed around by her parents telling her what she has to be like, what she has to do. Nobody would want to do that.’’

The home where the teen was attacked is the listed address of Muhammad Parvez, a Mississauga cab driver. “He was Muslim and very devout, very observant,” said one of his fellow drivers at Mississauga’s Blue and White Taxi, who did not want his name used. “He was always stopping to take breaks and pray: three, four times a day.”
His eldest son, also named Muhammad, also worked as a cab driver and lived in the family home with his wife and at least one child, the driver said. Several people inside the home were questioned by police before being allowed to leave.
Neighbours said the family moved in just over a year ago.

This is a sad story, but by no means is it a rare one. Honour killings are a very common thing for the religion of peace.
It wasn’t that long ago (sorry no link) that some school girls died when their school burned down. Oh they could have made it out alright. They were chased back into the burning school because they didn’t have their heads covered.

This breaks my heart. I have a daughter the same age and it’s a difficult age in any situation. She is finding herself and her place among her peers.
The intolerance and insanity of Islam has no place in our society. I grew up with kids whose parents were devout Catholics, Jehovahs, and Mormons, and they were all guilty at times of stifling their children. But to take it to the next level of murder is just insane.
You can’t allow abuse of children in the name of religion. It has to be controlled somehow.

I just sent a copy of the news article to NOW asking for a comment. On the website there is a section dealing with violence against women, but it mostly talks about hate crime legislation and attacks on poor women and children by the extreme right.
Nothing about honor killings or Sharia in general.
So how long will it take before these men start getting off on technicalities such as the PC excuse that it is acceptable in their religion to do such killings because it embarrasses Allah and Muhammed and Omar the flying camel of doom? Not to mention how the father will get off because of the stress he was under for having to confront all the stresses of changing to the evil Western cultural ways. The way the school and all the other families and stores and such were forcing his daughter to not wear the traditional Muslim garb. Thus all stores and schools must now conform to the Muslim ways in order for all Muslims to feel at home. It is the only way to truly be Multi Cultural and PC.

This is all too reminiscent of the murder of 16 year-old Tina Isa by her parents Zien and Maria Isa in my home town of St. Louis back in 1989. Tina’s transgression? She dared to be an ordinary American teenager. Maria Isa held her daughter down while her father stabbed her to death. Zien Isa was Palestinian and a member of the Abu Nidal terrorist group.
Fortunately, the jury didn’t buy the “this is perfectly acceptable in our culture” argument the defense put up and sentenced both Tina’s mother and father to death. Maria Isa’s sentence was commuted to life without parole. Zien Isa died of complications from diabetes while on death row.
Damn, and I had an argument with my 16 year old last night for not vacuuming and not picking up the living room. I must be doing it wrong. She stormed into her room and slammed the door and I went in my room and played World of Warcraft. She is still alive, no one in Intensive Care. I must not be a loving, caring father. What am I doing wrong? Maybe if I were to join the Religion of Peace, i could have murdered her, showing her my true love for her, that way next time I wanted my room cleaned she would have…wait, no, I don’t get it…someone help me with this.

She was born unworthy, so, what would you expect? He murdered her, and the son,
mother and daughter in law all probably got their licks in. Her crime was not only
would she not wear the hijab but she wanted to dress western. Thus, she was not

However, bodily mutilation is a recognized and approved punishment under the so-called religion of peace.

epodug so sorry to hear of your loss. I too can’t imagine killing my own child or worse yet having to bury one. My only son came to use to let us know he was gay a couple of years ago. We took it pretty good considering our value system, but he is our son and we love him. We did not throw him out of the house, threaten him, or disown him the worst part is the kid believes in the conservative values he was raised with and is still very confused due to his orientation. Life is not perfect and God doesn’t throw more at us then we can handle, but some days he really likes to hit the old “press-to-test” button.

I sent a link to the news article to a liberal friend who has one of those insipid COEXIST bumper stickers and asked her why she wants to coexist peaceably with people a culture that approves of killing women who don’t want to be treated like livestock or furniture. Well, it’s their religion, and she doesn’t like it when people tell her she should follow Christ instead of Mother Gaia, so she can’t condemn Islamic culture because it makes her feel hypocritical, and moreover I shouldn’t judge them because their religion is part of their culture (nevermind that they judge my culture daily; I shouldn’t “stoop to their level”) and it’s no worse than our culture.
I don’t see honor killing as a religious choice; the concept of “no one should be killed over their hair” is a universal human rights issue.
No, she says it’s a religous/cultural issue and we have no right to interfere because we’re not of that culture.
Logically, if culture takes precedence over universal human rights, it was wrong for the abolitionists to judge/interfere with antebellum Southern culture. They weren’t of the culture–how could they say that black people had a basic human right to walk around freely (and without being killed)? What right did they have to try to help slaves attain that right?
Rather than admit that human beings have universal rights regardless of culture, that blacks and women shouldn’t be treated livestock in any culture, and that cultures that suppress universal rights SHOULD be criticized and modified, she stopped talking to me for the day. She feels warm and fuzzy feeling that our culture is no better than other others, and even the THOUGHT that it’s OK to criticize other cultures makes her sad and depressed.
(I doubt she’ll feel warm and fuzzy when she’s being stoned for paganism under Sharia law, but I’m still optmistic that, unlike Canada, the U.S. won’t devolve that far.)
If they ever do find out that some Imam put out a Fatwa on this young girl, as suggested in an earlier post, then that Imam should be tried for conspiracy to commit murder and be held every bit as accountable as the actual murderer of this young girl …
Calling for someone to be killed, and especially when there exists a high probability that the act will happen due to influence and power of the person calling for the death, is not a form of protected Freedom of Speech … it is encouraging a crime be committed

They could go and live in Tehran, Saudi Arabia, etc. and see how easy it is to “coexist” with a group that wants to subjugate you and destroy everything you believe in. If you don’t think America is worth fighting for, if you think everyone should just “get along” then why do you live here and not with those you want everyone else to “coexist” with?
Same goes for those Christians who are pacifists. If you don’t think your faith is worth fighting for, why the hell do you even bother going to church?
War is not fun, war is not pretty, and war should always be a last resort. Time and again terrorists, imams, and other Islamic radicals have made it explicitly clear that they want to destroy Western culture and relegate all non-Muslims to a second-class citizenry.
They clearly won’t stop, and they have been engaged in jihad for centuries - which all but destroys the argument that American foreign policy *created* jihadists.
So our options are clear, especially for us women:
1. Give up everything we love, including our freedom and dignity.
2. Fight like hell to preserve what we have.
I choose option #2. As on that other thread, the only way I’ll wear a burqa is as a death shroud. I will not lose my faith, my home, my freedoms, or my loved ones to some sick ideology.
Maybe Nancy Pelosi can use this event in her next re-election campaign. Her new slogan? Willing to wear the hijab that brave 16 year old girls won’t get caught dead wearing.

Canada is a warm fuzzy nation. They will say that yes, what he did was wrong and
yes, perhaps he should be tried for murder, but we’ll have to really look into this
and ascertain if we have standing or if sharia law should prevail. I did go somewhat over the top on that, but it is close to what the liberals in Canada believe.
Since when have liberal feminist organizations decided that they cannot protest
the treatment of women under Islamic law? When First Lady Laura Bush accepted a
headscarf and covered her head, because the wind was blowing very hard, all I saw
and heard from liberal women was that she was “caving in” to Islam. It wasn’t until I read a piece written by a woman who was there, that I learned the truth.
This young girl was killed because she wanted to be more like her classmates,
and dress western, yet we hear nothing from these liberal women.
We’ve also heard nothing from the women in her family. If asked, they would

Reading “Dress Right or Die” on the Moderate Voice….at least 40 women have been
killed in Basra this year for wearing makeup and street clothes in public. It was said
that doing so is a sin, but that killing them is a bigger sin. Yee Ha!! Will the man be

Speaking of femicide (if I may coin a word), I have seen statistics showing that the majority of the most gender-imbalanced countries in the world are Muslim countries, particularly the Arab countries of the Persian gulf region, in which more than a quarter of the female population is missing. It is critically important that this murderer suffer the severest penalties provided by Canadian law, whatever those are.
It is particularly in criminal law that a society asserts its moral values.
It is critically important that the jihaddis be shown that their alleged morality (and their standards of behavior are very depraved) is inferior to that of the west — that we regard their “morality” as criminality.

Could someone please tell me why the MSM are so keenly set on framing the GOP presidential primary around the efficacies of Mormonism, when the most clear and pressing danger to everyday Americans is represented by the radical adherents of Islam?
I only hope the Canadian government can muster-up the judicial fortitude to prosecute the guilty in this case in order to send the message that such acts - even in the name of a religion - will not be tolerated and stop any future recurrences like this, but I doubt it.
Canada is just too P.C. to interfere with what may be termed by some a religious matter.
