Just wondering if there is going to be a NOW press release regarding honor killings in muslim homes, similar to the one reported below in Canada.

NOW’s response:

Dear Walt,

At this time I am not aware of NOW releasing a statement regarding honor killings occurring in Muslim homes. On that same topic however, NOW has released a statement formally supporting the International Violence Against Women Act, which denounces ‘Honor Killings’. This statement was released on 10/8/07 and this is a link to that statement if you are interested: NOW Supports Legislation that Denounces ‘Honor’ Killings and Violence Against Women. I hope that helps you.
