Good morning, race hustlers

By Michelle Malkin  •  December 13, 2007 10:01 AM

Update: Sharpton is in a huff. I know: When is he not?

Brian Maloney reports that radio talkers are ready to let loose on the racial demagogue. Have at it!

***

Al Sharpton has gotten away with so much for so long, I’m skeptical anything will come of the feds’ investigation of his financial shenanigans. So manage your expectations. The NY Daily News has details of the FBI’s 6:30am wake-up call for Sharpton’s aides and cronies. I don’t want to know what Al Sharpton looks like at 6:30am in the morning. Blech:

Teams of federal agents swooped down on up to 10 close associates of the Rev. Al Sharpton Wednesday, demanding the flamboyant clergyman’s financial records since 2001.

Sharpton’s former chief of staff said he was roused at his Harlem home about 6:30 a.m. by two FBI agents who handed him a subpoena to bring the records to a federal grand jury the day after Christmas.

Several employees of Sharpton’s National Action Network also got wakeup subpoenas to testify before the Brooklyn panel, the rabble-rousing reverend’s lawyer said.

The FBI and IRS are investigating whether Sharpton improperly misstated the amount of money he raised during his 2004 White House run to illegally obtain federal matching funds, a source familiar with the probe said.

Sharpton, although forced to return $100,000 in matching taxpayer funds after an investigation two years ago, denied any wrongdoing at the time.

The feds are also looking into allegations of tax fraud, including whether Sharpton commingled funds from his nonprofit National Action Network with several of his for-profit ventures, the source said.

Lawyer Michael Hardy shrugged off the probe, which sought a vast array of business, political and personal records, as a federal fishing expedition.

“I can’t think of a time when the Rev. Sharpton wasn’t under investigation,” he said.

Right.

Betsy Newmark: “How ironic it would be if it was his ambition to be the head demagogue on racial justice by running for president that served to finally bring him down.”

Imus replies “I just hate it when that happens” I was laughing out loud, they could have played Christmas music all morning, cut away to that exchange btw Imus and Charles, and went back to playing Christmas music. They made my whole day still SMILING

Hang on boys and girls. I was a cop for 20 years. If the authorities have probable cause to believe a crime’s been committed, and to believe the evidence is with Mr. Sharpton and his crews, and they were really serious about going to Mr. Sharpton’s et al’s homes/offices at 6:30 a.m., they’d have served search warrants and taken the records right on the spot.

Other than to generate a news story and photo op, it is stupid and completely unneccesary to hand-serve subpoenas at 6:30 a.m. Besides, a subpoena with a Christmas due date gives all the players plenty of time to alter, cook or destroy the pertinent books. Astonishing and gutless by the U.S. Attorney’s Office. No wonder no one’s particularly concerned in the Sharpton camp.

So, I think this goes right with what MM wrote. Don’t expect anything big to come of this.

Well obviously it is because he is black. If there were no rich,Liberal powerful black people in this country, there would be no reason to even have these departments on order to conduct these investigations. He should have never even considered running for President, let alone actually doing it or asking for matching funds. Just who does he think he is? Maybe if he would have come out and said something about the beat down that white woman took at the hands of those 13 year old innocent little thugs…I mean choir children things would be different. However, George Bush has to send a message to the black community that you better not rock the boat and you better stay on the plantation if you know what’s good for you. The Right Reverend Al Sharpton was getting a little too big for his britches again and needed to get taken down a peg, so they trumped up some charges for this man of the cloth…this man of the people…this fighter for Civil Rights and Euality for All Races, no matter if they be white, black pink, purple or green. Maybe this will teach him and next time he will vote Repulican and not question his masters.

Yeah, cause you’re just full of class, ain’t ya?

    Idiot.

Try holding an intelligent conversation, and perhaps you’ll recieve some measure of respect. Talk like a retarded chimp coming down from a bad meth-trip, and you’ll most likely not get as much respect as you might think you deserve.

Just, you know, a friendly tip.

Thanks for the words of encouragement, diver. I could use them after driving home on the southern California freeways.

Now, Burner, rememebr what I said in 68, that it is how you respond to something unpleasant that defines you? Yes, 61 was a tad condescending, but aren’t you reaching into a bit too much vulgarity with 64? Again, not a very gentlemanly or adult response. If you want some respect, here or anywhere else, take swj’s advice and show some class.

Also, your post 60 was the initiation. Since it probably won’t happen in any event, enough of the he said she said.

As for the topic of this thread, it was said in another thread that Alan Keyes may have been let into the debate because he is black; who here thinks Sharpton will get different treatment from the press based on his ethnicity?

AJ never needed to defend Sharpton, as the MSM will do a fine job of that.

I regret any condescension in my remarks as that became the focus instead of my real point. If I could have posted a “beating a dead horse” gif here it would have been easier. Although being that my actual point was substantive and suggested a proactive action if the issue was really bothersome to certain people, it would have been ignored as facts would have destroyed the point being attempted. Oh, and by the by, I heard at least three times on radio news stories today why Mr. Keyes was allowed into the debate, none of which were race related, so it really isn’t any big secret. It’s even explained on his Wikipedia page. Furthermore, Mr. Keyes success as a diplomat and his failed election bids really have no relevance as to the subpoena of financial documents relating to a race-baiting hate monger this situation.

No fear SHoward, #80 wasn’t directed at you by any means and my apologies if I gave that impression. I am sure that almost everyone got the point and I hope that most people found it humorous.

So, I went away for awhile, had to deal with the kidlets, daddy things you know, wifey out of town and all…and I come back to find all Hell breaking loose in Liberalland, both in the world itself and on here.

Burner..let me give you a little friendly advice. I have not really read enough of your posts to really kno what side of the aisle you are on yet, as your posts really haven’t had any substance to them politically as of yet. Now hear me out, this is not a slam…yet. I assume you have read my posts enough to know when the smack down is being laid down, and you should know this ain’t it. THis is friendly, constructive criticism on a Right-Wing netiqueette.

I am not sure, like I said, where your politics lie, but I am going to take a stab at it and say you are a leftward leaning type. I am going to take that from the way you have responded to the way some of my brethren here have smacked at you. Let me give you this advice, kinda clarify, if I may, the way someone else tried to tell you earlier.

There is a way to flame people on a site and there is a way not to flame people. One way will keep you around and may actually garner you a following, albeit a questionable following, but a following none the less. The other way will find yourself hated, smacked around like a cheap, illiterate crack addict looking for a hit from her pimp n the middle of the Tenderloin on a Friday while you get yourself banned from the site forever, while trying to figure out just what the heck it is you did wrong, all the while knowing what it was, and living in a world of self-denial and cursing the Right Wingers for the rest of your life, and never accepting responsibility for the wrongs that you yourself have done.

Hopefully I have not lost you yet.

The goal first of all is to NEVER…and I mean NEVER use the foul language that you have been using on this thread. It just isn’t done here or basically on any reputable Right-Wing or COnservative site. That kind of junk may work on every single Liberal site out there, but not on the COnservative ones. When you use it, prepare to be ostrisized. Also, do not make excuses. Do not blame others for your mistales. DO not say you only did it because so and so made you do it. that is a typical Liberal cop out. Around here, we Conservatives accept responsibility for our words, deeds and actions.

If you want to fit in, you need to play by the rules. Else ways, you just end up being labled a Liberal troll such as some of the others have. When you attack and insult and use profanity, eventually you will get booted off. Michelle is a patient and tolerant host, but like all beautiful, patient and tolerant hosts, she has her limits, and so do the regulars. If you want to stay and play in the sand box, you have to play nice with the others, otherwise you will be spanked on your little pooper and sent home.

    Capisce?

Now run along and play nice with the other kids. I have some things I gotta take care of.
