Get ready for the “Hill-a-copter”

By Michelle Malkin  •  December 14, 2007 11:08 AM

Hillary’s going to fly across Iowa this weekend on a “Hill-a-copter.” Because it’s too cold for the broom, I guess. I kid, I kid. (Insert cackle here.)

The Clinton campaign today announced the “Every County Counts Tour – Working For Change, Working For You,” a five-day, 99-county campaign blitz through Iowa that will start on Sunday, December 16th in Council Bluffs. During the tour, Hillary and her surrogates will mobilize and organize supporters across Iowa, while reaching out to undecided caucus-goers. Hillary Clinton, herself, will campaign in 16 counties in the state in a chopper, called the Hill-A-Copter. Top campaign surrogates, including President Bill Clinton and others, will fan across the state to rally Hillary’s caucus-goers.

Better watch out for that Ron Paul blimp.

Meantime, latest NH poll shows Obama edging ahead:

Barack Obama has come from behind to turn the Democratic presidential race in New Hampshire into a toss-up, according to a new Monitor opinion poll. The results – which show Obama with a one-point edge over Hillary Clinton – mirror other polls released this week, indicating that Clinton’s once-imposing lead has evaporated in the run-up to New Hampshire’s Jan. 8 primary.

The poll suggests that the Democratic race could hinge on the turnout of undeclared voters, who aren’t registered with either political party. Much of Obama’s backing comes from undeclared voters, while registered Democrats make up the bulk of Clinton’s support. In New Hampshire, undeclared voters can vote in either party primary, giving them sway in both contests.

“The more undeclared voters that decide to vote in the Democratic primary, the better chance Obama wins,” said Del Ali, president of Research 2000, the Maryland-based nonpartisan polling firm that conducted the poll for the Monitor on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. “What Hillary Clinton has to hope is that more of the established Democrats come out to vote.”

At the end of the book, Fitzgerald describes how the Buchanans destroyed lives and then moved on, indifferent to the consequences of their conduct. That is the Clintons to the max. The Clintons thought they could do this to Barack Obama. I don’t agree with Barack Obama on the issues. But he is really the first public figure who has not been intimidated by the Clintons and refuses to allow the Clintons and their network of Carville/Begala, CNN, Hollywood and the 3 networks to destroy him. For that Senator Obama has my greatest admiration.

She should have just tooled around in a campaign bus like an ordinary candidate. How the hell does she expect to make a connection with the ordinary folks in Iowa by arriving like a celebrity in a helicopter?
