Bill put on his feminist alter ego and joined his two self proclaimed "feminist babes" to enlighten the "folks". All three discovered the word "salacious" and agreed that if not for her being a 35 year old "good looking" babe, this would be a non-story. Evidently, if Michael Kinsley had B-slapped a police officer no one in the media would have noticed. Never once mentioned her purported verbal comments directed at the female officer. Lane will hire a top notch defense team that intimidates local judges in New York City and the judge will rule in her favor on all the motions that the high powered defense team files. In contrast, the judge will show disdain for the polyester wearing prosecutors in their Payless shoes. Most of the judges in state criminal in court New York were unknown lawyers in practice and owe their judgeships less to skill in the courtroom than to skill in the clubhouse. Judges in New York get their jobs by slavish obedience to the Democratic Party. Let's just remember the Puffy (P Diddy) trial from a few years ago. The judge treated the defendant (Puffy) and his high powered lawyers like celebrities. The judge treated the prosecutors like they were crap. And an acquittal on all counts was inevitable.
