Starting to see a surge in Ron Paul votes. Here it comes.
If we throw out the Paul votes, we have to wonder who the pollsters are polling! Maybe they’re polling in Vermont.

The Paul Bots are “crashing to boards”. Once they get wind of an internet poll, it may as well shut down or remove Paul’s name.
I was in Fred’s camp back when he was still a senator. I didn’t agree with all of his votes, but unlike most pols he at least articulated a well-reasoned, understandable motivation for his decisions. I too would be happy with a Thompson/Hunter or Thompson/Tancredo ticket.
I’d have to hold my nose really tightly to vote for Rudy and I’m afraid I would pass out before I got the stylus all the way through the paper. McCain is better but not by much. Romney, well, easier to vote for than Rudy or McCain, but still would be voting against the dems rather than for the GOP – and that has nothing to do with his religion as I don’t give a rip about that issue.
Ha! I wonder if MM knows that there’s a support Senator Gramnesty’s reecltion ad on the poll results?
Poll needs to be redone without Paul’s name. I would be really interested to know what the actual leanings are of MM readers. Stupid hijackers.

From a still disinterested viewpoint, I can see how Huckabee could attract some people. He seems charming, genial, even witty in a way, but as his record is broadcast, he also seems like another Arkansas politician, corrupt, silver tongued, and a liberal beneath a conservative coat. Why would I want another guy like Bill C in the White House?

I’ve been reading some articles about Ron Paul and it doesn’t sound too good. Some of his “supporters” are very shady characters. Racists, troofers, anti-Israel types. Scary.
I see the PaulBots have finally shown up.
I see that RRon Paul’s supports found out about this poll and gummed it up.
Next time, maybe just leave his name off the list of options. Sure they’ll get upset, but so what? You could also have a separate box “Are you a Ron Paul Supporter? Yes___ Yes___” Then they can submit until their little fingers drop off.

We’re going to know, depending on your perspective, in a couple weeks to just over a month the answers to two big questions:
- Do the conservative and Paul-Nuts wings of the blogosphere have any actual influence? If we and they do, it would be a horse race between Thompson and Paul.
- Has conservatism as a whole run out of gas? I don’t want to have to revisit my answers, but I’ll submit that, if either Giuliani or Huckabee wins the nomination, it has.
Time to close the poll because the Paul bots are working overtime to give Ru Paul the lead.

A few hours ago, I visited this post and checked the poll numbers but that was before RuPaul’s swarm stopped by.
Hey, Paulites: Neither crashing online polls nor paying for your bloviating candidate’s blimp will win him an election.
Between Ron Paul, John Paul, Sean Paul, and RuPaul, I broke down which one is the least coherent.

As for his antisemitism, that is why may of his supporters are known as the Paulestinians.

If we remove the Paul Bot votes, Thompson’s at roughly 50%. I’d still like to know who the pollsters are polling.

The last time I looked before the Paulite surge, Thompson had 46% to Romney’s 16%. That’s a 3-1 margin.

Which goes to my first question above. Either the pollsters and conventional pundits are wrong, or we are. As much as I don’t want to admit it, I fear it’s the former.

Internet polls as a measure of the width of support are nearly worthless, as evidenced as the improbably high numbers for Thompson and Paul. It can only be used to measure depth, and even then, it’s depth among Internet users, who are not an evenly-distributed slice of the population. Plus, you have the problem where voters from other parties are voting.
Not to say that phone polling is perfect. Phone polling for instance is a horrible measure of depth of support. It’s basically a name recognition contest.

At the Annapolis conference, Condi accommodated the Saudi dhimmi demand that the Israeli delegation had to enter through the service entrance. The conference statement said that Israel must end terrorism and incitement.
She has negotiated with Iran, a country that has been at war with us for 28 years, killed 241 of our servicepeople in Beirut, and is killing our servicepeople today in Iraq. I should mention that Iran’s uranium enrichment and ballistic missile programs continue despite the State Dept. influenced NIE denying that there is a nuclear weapons program (whose goal Ahmadinejad has already told us).
Condi is a disaster and so is her boss. Bush should fire her today. Thank God for the Republican Congressional delegation and presidential candidates (other than R.P.).
I support Ron Paul. I am not crazy. He has immigration views closest to what Michelle and crew would support. Close the border, end the birth citizenship and discontinue all benefits to non-citizens.
If not Paul then Thompson.
PS – I am not a Nazi either. Attack his policies, not his supporters.

I know of three LIBERAL friends who have no intention of voting R with Ron Paul bumper stickers. His candidacy is a liberal joke.

Words worth repeating, except I’m not so sure that McCain could do it. As Eric says, Huckabee in a general election is Hillary’s afternoon snack.
Keeping it real, Hillary will get the nod and then it’s the Hillarymonster or whomever else. Take you real-life-scenario pick based on whomever beats Hillary, not whomever most fits your personal views. Unless you want Hillary rubber stamping everything Reid and Pelosi send her with total and absolute impunity – an exceptionally real possibility, and think about it – pick according to whomever beats her in national head-to-head polling data. Anything else gets us the United Socialist States of America for the first time in history. Won’t that be swell.
We all joke and make idealistic statements, but this is actually extraordinarily serious. And Obama is almost as bad, if not worse. Left to him we would not have gone on the offensive against terrorists overseas. Imagine the devistation here at home in 2007 if he had been President after 9/11.

Sorry kids, but as much as I hate to admit it, we have too much at stake here to be bickering about, “Who is the bigger, most awesome Conservative”. We need to be thinking Big Picture here, and we need to be thinking November 08 and who can beat whoever the knuckledragger it is they get to represent them. These yahoos are going to be running a campaign full fo blasphemy (not about religion) and lies concerning the war and the Republican record on the economy, employment and everything else. We have had just stellar numbers economically, record low unemployment, yet everytime you get someone on TV off the street, the first words out of their moths has something to do with how they are scared because the economy is in the crapper and unemployment is so high.
The Left has been telling so many lies for so long, the American public has taken it as the gospel truth. We need someone that is going to come out with all guns firing and will not stop to change barrels until the war is over the Wednesday after the election. THAT should be the guy we all back. THAT should be the guy that gets us going and THAT should be what each of these candidates should be trying to do.
It is a crying shame that the Republican Party has not figured any of this out…that they are acting like the school bully is cruising the playground looking for them and they are doing their best not to be noticed. We have the biggest bicepts and the best looking pecs on the playground, and all the chicks dig us and we have all the fans. Why the hell we are ducking the school bully is just plain nuts. Would someone please tell the party to stop ducking and finally let them drop so that the people who fund this party can actually be proud to call themselves Republicans again and get excited about our candidates?

Paul. Eliminate Income tax (and all broad based tases). He is the only guy who I see realizes the US can not be the policemen of the World. He will get us out of the UN, and OUT OF KOREA (put there by the UN).

The Paul people obviously think that they can influence the election by overwhelming polls like this one, and in so doing convince us that our friends and neighbors support him, trying to influence voters to do the same. They don’t realize that caucus followers are politically savvy and not essentially stupid. We know where Paul is in the Rasmussen and other legit polls. According to that data he’s essentially invisible.
But by playing these games they mirror the simplisitc thinking of the person they follow, and in so doing remind us of what a truly terrible President Ron Paul would be.

These are Liberal games they play, and everytime you talk to one or one of them goes on a Conservative site they behave exactly like a Liberal. I really do not understand a single one of them.
