The “Shut up, white boy!” woman is the “slum” dweller with a 60-inch TV

Mixed in with the rent-a-rioters who stormed the New Orleans City Council meeting over public housing were a few homegrown thugs who refuse to be weaned from the public teat without a finger-pointing, racial epithet-hurling fight.

Case in point: That angry lady in the BDS shirt shouting “I will not be treated like a slave!” and “Back up and Shut up! Shut up, white boy! Shut up, white boy!” at a citizen attending the council hearing. Watch closely and note that there is a child behind her being subjected to her diatribe against the man. She’s your tax dollars at work:

Uploaded by dollarsandsense123

Nice propaganda job by the photo caption writer, who whitewashed the angry racist rant. They were just, you know, “talking to” a man…at the top of their lungs:

1caption.jpg

So, does she look familiar? This Sharon Jasper is the same Sharon Jasper profiled in the New Orleans Times-Picayune sulking in her government-subsidized apartment with hardwood floors and HUGEtastic flat-screen television and complaining that it’s a “slum:”

1shutup3.jpg

Jasper moaned:

Sharon Jasper, a former St. Bernard complex resident presented by activists Tuesday as a victim of changing public housing policies, took a moment before the start of the City Hall protest to complain about her subsidized private apartment, which she called a “slum.” A HANO voucher covers her rent on a unit in an old Faubourg St. John home, but she said she faced several hundred dollars in deposit charges and now faces a steep utility bill.

Heaven forbid The Man expect her to pay her own damned security deposits and utility bills like the rest of us!

Sell the behemoth TV, for crying out loud.

More:

“I’m tired of the slum landlords, and I’m tired of the slum houses,” she said.

Pointing across the street to an encampment of homeless people at Duncan Plaza, Jasper said, “I might do better out here with one of these tents.”

Jasper, who later allowed a photographer to tour the subsidized apartment, also complained about missing window screens, a slow leak in a sink, a warped back door and a few other details of a residence that otherwise appeared to have been recently renovated.

Well, if “slums” come with TVs the size of my car, where can I sign up?

***

I’d ask the reporter who toured Jasper’s government-subsidized apartment if he saw what kind of car(s) she had (any SUVs? Suburbans? huge pick-up trucks?)–but then I’d be accused of, you know, “stalking.”

***

Go to The Mighty Favog’s blog here and here for great takedowns of this monstrous ingrate. More blogger reax here . And more from Rod Dreher.

Beth at My VWRC points out that Jasper “isn’t just some random ‘victim’ picked off the streets by activists. She IS an activist herself, according to none other than the New Orleans Labor Media Project, which is very much a part of the protests.”

Jasper is fighting back. She spearheads a tenant association that is working with the AFL-CIO’s Gulf Coast Revitalization Program to convince local authorities to rehabilitate rather than annihilate public housing stock.

“We, the poor working class, are the people who helped build this city,” Jasper says, jabbing her finger into the air, as if she were about to pull down the menacing barbed wire barrier. “We have a right to return.”

“Working?” Laura at Pursuing Holiness notes that Jasper has admitted to being on the dole for 57 out of her 58 years.

“Right to return?” Taxpayers have a right to tell their government to return their hard-earned money being squandered by race-hustling grievance-mongers like the loud-mouthed TV lady. She should turn her jabbing finger towards herself and follow her own advice:

Shut up.

Brooklyn Red…please note…the “goodness of our hearts” portion of my post is meant as a “tounge in cheek” manner, as we all know said monies are taken out of our checks every pay period whether we wish them to be or not, and distributed to different places without asking where we would like them to be placed.

Were i to be asked, I would wish them to go to various cancer patients and their various causes/cures as well as towards back injury research and it’s cures…for obvious reasons as well as to our veterans and those that are injured and those families of injured firemen and police officers who receive NOTHING in the way of compensation once they have been released from their respective departments and are just swept under the rugs and are forgotten. Believe me, i am living that nightmare.

However, Ms. Jasper, and many more like her seem to be on the top of the list of those that are obviously in desperate need according to the Federal government and those on the Left. Just look at her…she is wasting away.

I thank you for your compliment, it was really nice to hear as I returned home from my venture out into the world of last minute Christmas Shopping. Yes, I am doing the male thing, but it is not my fault, I am a slave to the pay periods and have to go when the check arrives. Let me just say that I take solice in knowing that there is no way that I will possibly receive anything as cool or as neat as what I am giving out to my wife and kids this year…including the trip to Disneyland. might be the last one before I end up in a wheelchair.

Yes, I tend to be a bit llong winded, and yes, I still have not taken my laptop in to get the keyboard fixed yet, but since I had to shut down my blog due to three very real and very scary stalkers, I have really enjoyed being here amongst you. Not sure if this will be my last post before Christmas or not…(yeah, right) but just in case it is, I want to wish all of you here a most Merry and Holy Christmas, and Celebration of the Birth of Our Lord, Jesus Christ, the True Prince of Peace, no matter what denomination, Christianity truly does strive to be, in all it does in word and deed, the real, Religion of Peace along with it;s sister religion, Judaism, and to my Brothers and Sisters in Judaism I say, a very Happy Hannukhah!!!!

Is it really going to be worth nit picking the price of the TV? Or is the point more that she is sitting in a nice home, WITH a large screen TV, hard wood floor, nice cloths, well fed, no rent, has never once held a job, yelling racial epithets, protesting about wanting more etc., all on OUR TAX DOLLAR and is a WELFARE FRAUD talking about living in a slum simply because a faucet leaks and a door is a bit warped while there are REAL PEOPLE LIVING IN THE STREETS HOMELESS AND DISPLACED just yards from her front door?

Am I taken to understand that you are actually taking her side in this and are going to defend her? Am I to understand that you think she has every right to be complaining about all of this? And that the TV is really not an issue and that maybe, just maybe ALL welfare recipients should be given them because, gee heck gosh, you can get them on e-bay for about 600 bones? Does that mean she has a computer and Internet access as well? Doesn’t that bring up yet another issue?

Please elaborate, as I am a bit perplexed by this new turn of events.

Oh, and see, you can’t keep me quiet I guess. Oh well, the Christmas and Hannukhah Greetings still stand.

That silly woman wouldn’t know what slavery treatment is if it were staring at her in the face. Her’s is a child’s mentality–having never had to join a workforce or had the responsibility to live as a freewoman.

Indeed, she IS a slave, because she’ll never know the responsibility or satisfaction of property ownership. All she knows is what’s given to her by her state and federal government.

If she wants people to stop treating her as a slave, then she needs to alter her behavior and attitude towards one who is an adult. She and too many like her behave as children, yet expect the respect of a respectible adult.

If I had my way, these people who are bought and paid for by our tax dollars would not get a single vote, until such time that they paid us back for their freedom. They ARE slaves, and as such do not deserve a citizen’s vote.

To explain myself further; ANY dependant, whether they be a child needing a parent’s home, food, clothing, and so-forth, OR an adult who is dependant upon working adults for their home, food, clothing, and so-forth should not be able to cast a vote as a full-citizen of this country.

A paycheck and responsibility for one’s own primary needs should be required for one’s privilage to vote. It’s common sense.

Granted that the lady is an ungrateful wretch with a sense of entitlement and I am not into class warfare, but it irks me that taxpayers are sending millions in agricultural subsidies to rich people who live in Manhattan high rises. We hear smoking is bad for you and Nurse Bloomberg and Huckelberry want to ban it and the tobacco companies are evil and yet we give tobacco big subsidies also. On the other extreme Hillary want to appropriate big oils’ profits. Like Socialism is so great. We complain about oil dependency and forbid exploration or access to our own vast oil and oil shale reserves, nuclear plants, wind mills blocked by Ted Kennedy’s NIMBY rule and so on.
Meanwhile these poor people send their kids to oft terrible schools and libs block school vouchers to private schools all the while sending their own to fancy private academies.
I don’t much care what toys the welfare queen possesses. Her attitude rots, but what is important to me are not material things. Healthy relationships me much more. I know filthy rich around here in balmy Boca who say taxes are too low, but are intent on making more and more so they die the richest man in graveyard. One was railing about the evil Bushitler and when I asked him about his own insider trading, payoffs to politicians and bribes, he was quite indignant and said ok mf, what are you going to do about it? My point is there are scumwads of every social strata. We can all do better and hopefully evolve into better citizens over time. In my own case I was so irritated with the role race was playing that as a callow youth I voted for George Wallace. r.lwaratedAziens

The bottom line however is the entitlement mentality because of slavery

Good point, and some very excellant examples are the comments that were directed at Justice Clarance Thomas, General Colin Powell, and Madame Condolessza Rice over the years.

The diffrence between the 1950’s KKK and modern racism is that the rhetoric hasn’t changed, just the costumes and who is yelling the epithets on a regular basis without consequence. While America may not have white sheets showing up for a protest rally, we do have tan shirts/black berets showing up instead.

I think there is something called Job Corps that will train people. I know that
some of the women and young men that come to the food bank are getting
training through that. I also know that some of the women with children are
doing the job training to get off of welfare but I also know that several of them
were caught cheating on that one.
I would like to see a nationwide network that would “tattle” on the nomadic
welfare recipients ( those that travel from state to state each time they wear out
their welcome in the previous state).
There used to be spot checks at welfare homes to make certain that men weren’t
living there and living off of the children’s money but I don’t think those happen very much these days because there are so many people on welfare.
If Ms Jasper thinks we haven’t given her what she deserves ( she likes nice
things) she should read a book called There Are No Children Here about one
of the projects in Chicago. She could be living in circumstances far below her
    standards.

dares say things such as “shut up white boy” and to criticize what my hard
earned tax money is providing for her. I also like nice things but if someone

Okay, time for a reality check. And keep in mind that I stirred this pot because it’s my YouTube and I’m the one who tipped MM that it was the same woman. So the last thing I’m interested in doing is taking Jasper’s “side” in this. BUT… I’m not aware of her ever claiming to have never worked, etc. Please provide a source. Because it’s not in my posts, not in the YouTube I posted (or any of the several others she’s been in over the last year), not in the Times-Pic article or any other article I’ve seen in a google search for “sharon jasper”.

    Here are the FACTS:
FACT 1. She’s lived in public housing since she was 6 months old.
FACT 2. She’s an ungrateful, hateful wretch.
There are no more FACTS. We don’t know if she gets food stamps, cash benefits, social security disability or anything else other than subsidized housing. MANY people who live in public housing have part time or even full time jobs. Qualifying for public housing is based on income. That’s all. If it’s low enough to demonstrate a need and you jump through the hoops, you can get it. Obviously nobody in three generations of Jasper’s family has enough documented income to disqualify them. But that’s all we know, and it doesn’t necessarily follow that nobody’s had a job in their lives. So let’s not get ahead of ourselves, here.

I find it unbelievable that the post I had removed was removed. I have a feeling that the entire point was lost on the person that removed it. It was not racist at all. in fact, it was the exact opposite, and stating that we were OPPOSED to racist sentiment, that the entitlemnents themselves were what were racist ans that Liberals who felt that the black population needed special handouts and such just based on the color of their skin and race was, in fact, a racist sentiment.

I apologize if this was taken in the wrong context, but it was far from anything that was racist on myu part. On the contrary. I feel that every person, no matter what the color of their skin, what country they are from, what heritage they have, what culture they claim, what upbringing they have had, what part of the city or country they came from, in this country all have the exact same chance to make it in this country. Al the have to do is APPLY themselves. They have to have the desire, the drive, the ambition. They have to get out of bed in the morning and go to school. They have to pay attention in class, they have to study hard, they have to do the school work, they have to do the home work, they have to turn in the assignments, they have to learn to read and write and do math, they have to approach the teachers when having problems and demand help when needed, they have to graduate, they have to go to college, they have to get a job or go into the military, they have to start at the bottom and use that drive and motivation to work their way up the ladder towards the top with promotions or through networking to higher paying jobs, savings and investments until they finally can consider themselves successes, and along the way hopefully find the man/woman of their dreams, buy a house, get a dog and start a family and buy a car.

That is what I believe. None of that involves the color of your skin or anything else I mentioned, and none of it involves any of those entitlements that the Liberals are trying to forcefeed down everyones throats and that keeps every single minority shakled in bondage for eternity, telling them that due to their ethnic status they are incapable of doing anything or going anywhere in their life and thus they need the Dems and their programs.

This is why the Liberals are the racists, and this is why their programs are all racist in their very base nature.

If this has offended our hostess or the handlers of this site, I apologize. if this explaination has still offended, I again apologize, but I still do not see how this has violated the TOS. If anything, it speaks to the very heart of this matter that we are speaking of when we speak of this welfare fraud and why she is spending her whole life on welfare and training her family and her family’s family on it as well

Laura, I am going to have to apologize, but I do not recall exactly where I saw the quote. Maybe someone else will remember better. It may have been on one of the other sites noted here like Patterico’s or maybe on one of the many sites I got when I googled her name…of which there were many, let me tell you, but it was where she had claimed that she had been in the system for 57 of her 58 years and had never worked a day in her life, her parents hadn’t either etc.

I know it may sound like a cop out, and if so, so be it…however, I just returned from a wonderful family oriented Christmas party at my late best friend’s parents house where they even had a beautiful Father Christmas come and give presents to the upwards of 30 children there, including my 16 and 18 year olds. (That was hillarious, especially when my 18 year old son sat on his lap). Following that, we stopped off at Chevron and all got Hot Chocolate and drove around and looked at all the houses that dared to oppose all the Grinches and Scrooges in their neighborhoods and were awed at some of the spectacles, including one neighborhood where you actually had to get out and walk around a couple of blocks to really sink it all in, and collect the candy canes from the home owners that were standing outside in the cold, greeting the people admiring their hard work.

It was truly a wonderful night, and something we do every year. Tomorrow I take the little ones to see Santa at the Mall, then off to see my mother, then my dad and step-mom come for dinner and then we make cookies, ginger bread houses and read Night Before Christmas and Santa comes.

So, if someone who knows where that quote is, I would greatly appreciate it as others have been using it as well, so they have seen it too.

As far as YOUR Jambalaya, if you are offering, a styrofoam container and some dry ice and FedEx works great and i will be waiting. Just leave out the chicken as it gets too chalky when it is frozen, and double up on the sausage and shrimp. MMmmmmmm….and don’t scrimp on the Tobasco.

They were just, you know, “talking to” a man…at the top of their lungs:

She had me at whitey. Very eloquent and well spoken.
If a white person was captured on video shouting “Shut up nigger” at the top of his lungs I suspect it would have been its own news story in itself.

AlohaGuy, when I wrote that she admitted to being on the dole, I meant she admitted moving into public housing when she was 6 months old, stayed there until Katrina, and since then has enjoyed subsidized housing. That’s being on the dole; she receives at least part of her support from the government. Whether she ALSO gets welfare, SSI, food stamps, etc., I have no way of knowing.

*Whew* I am just stepping in for just a moment, as I have just walked in the door after going to see santa and standing in line for an hour and a half, last minute shopping, seeing my mom on other side of town, going and looking for Prime Rib on Christmas Eve etc., and now I have to go and put roast in oven that was to have been coming OUT of oven 20 minutes ago to feed my dad that was to have been here 20 minutes agoas well, but he is either running late or has bailed all together, which would be OK as they were out of what I wanted to gert him for Christmas and it would buy me time. I will check e-mail in a sec to find out, but wanted to tell Laura this first.

I still do not remember where I saw it, but will meet you halfway and anyone else with this promise.

If anyone here can prove to me and everyone else that this woman is not “generations deep” into the Welfare System exactly as I have claimed and as others have claimed, then i will retract what I have said. That being said, until I can recall where I have seen that quote, I will refrain stating that she is generations deep in it until such time as I can recall it and print the web site.

Deal? I think that is fair. But I seriously doubt anyone, even you Laura, think she is not so, whether I find it or not. And it has been driving me bonkers all day trying to remeber where it was I read it.

OK, gotta put some Prime Rib that I bought with the money that I and my wife earned with the sweat of our brow and the muscles of our bodies. Besides, Government surplus meat and cheese iss nasty. Had it as a kid. yuck. I’d rather get it from the butcher and pay cash.

    Merry Christmas Everyone.

Oh, I’m not arguing with your sentiment, RetFireman. I’m just trying to clarify that there are ways and ways of being on the dole and I wanted to be clear about what I meant when I said it about Jasper. There are several completely separate systems; welfare, food stamps, Medicaid, SSI… Nearly twenty years ago when my husband died and I was pregnant, I got on welfare, food stamps and Medicaid. I also got free job training. I didn’t get subsidized housing, though. That’s for long term issues. When my daughter was a month old I took a crap job and got off of the welfare and food stamps. I kept the Medicaid another few months until I got a job with insurance.

I just wanted to respond to the concept that this woman never had a job in her life. It’s extremely likely that she has had jobs; enough to show some kind of effort and satisfy her case worker. But in my experience many people are careful not to earn enough to take them out of the “safety net.”

derel, while I was on the dole briefly all those years ago, I’m certainly not now - as a small business owner, the government gets more than it’s fair share of my income. I pay twice the taxes I did when I was an employee, in fact. :-(

Still, I have a lot to be grateful for, and I did want to make the point that sometimes, for some people, the welfare system works the way most people would like it to. And the ‘96 welfare reforms made a big difference also - I’m going to post details on that next week if anyone’s interested. Meantime… Merry Christmas, everyone!!

I actually do not think they should get rid of welfare. i think it is there for a reason and should be used for that reason. Shortly after I met my wife, she had gone through a divorce and was living on her own with a 3 year old. She had no job and was trying desperately to make it on her own working, making a business in childcare etc. Finally she had no choice and had to go on food stamps and got a stipend for her son of 600 a month to help with rent and such. She was on it for almost a year. i was helping her pay her rent, buy her food and other bills as well, and she had to fight ever month for her check and other hassles. However, the entire time she was on it, she was looking for other work and ways to get off of it. Finally she got a great job and got the hell off. I remember how horrible she felt going to the store to get food and having people stare at her, looking at the things she was buying and second guessing it considering she was using food samps and all.

However, she used it for what it was there for. She used it for the crutch it is supposed to be. Today she makes almost 6 figures a year as a marketing executive for an insurance company and refuses to discuss those days and I don’t blame her.

Trouble is, people seem to forget it is a critch and instead, go for the lifestyle. I am just waiting until I see a “Welfare Lyf” Tattoo. I think at that point I will have to turn violent and strike the person in the neck, but I hope it won’t come to that. I am really not a violeent person. honest.

And on that note, it is now 0100 here in California, Santa was seen overhead an hour ago, the wife is downstairs wrapping gifts while I guard the kidlets here in the bedroom and digest the faboo prime rib dinner I made, waiting until my lovely bride joins me for the 2-3 hours of sleep we will get before our beautiful daughters wake us up with crys of “Santa was here, come see”.

So Merry Christmas…Everyone” and good night all, see you anon.
