Socialist supermodel strikes again
Hugo Chavez celebrity cheerleader Naomi Campbell can’t get enough of leftist thug-o-crats. Now she’s playing “investigative journalist” in Cuba–visiting housing projects and whoring for Fidel Castro. Hey, if Sean Penn can do it, why not Naomi? (Hat tip: Power Line)
Supermodel Naomi Campbell, who recently conducted a lengthy magazine interview with Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, on Friday visited a new housing project his country built for Cuban oil refinery workers.
Cuban news agency Prensa Latina said the British-born model chatted with a young married couple who will live in one of 100 small, white cookie-cutter houses recently built near the Camilo Cienfuegos refinery. The refinery was renovated with Venezuelan assistance.
Accompanied by Cuban Vice Foreign Minister Alejandro Gonzalez, Campbell posed with the couple after congratulating them on their new home. It was unclear what Campbell was doing in Cuba, but she visited Venezuela in October for an interview with Chavez for an unspecified publication.
Actually, it’s very clear what’s she’s doing: Making an abject global fool of herself.

We, as a society, have to ignore these mutts and not buy, back or subsidize anything they are selling and/or believe in. As long as they have an audience, they will perform. Remember, they are only one step above a court jester and I don’t remember any kings or barons that took their advice!
Maybe if the government revoked her passport, she could sneak back in over the Mexican border. She could then use her extensive journalistic skills to tell us how easy it actually is.
BTW the local paper here in Tucson is reporting that the omnibus spending bill not only cut funds for the border fence but also about $170 billion for anti-drug money provided to the states. Our local sheriff and one police chief, democrats both, are complaining that regional drug task forces now in place may go away.

The reason why it’s so easy for someone like Naomi Campbell – or so many other wealthy entertainer-types like her – to gush about the virtues of socialism is because they know that they’ll never have to experience those “virtues” for themselves.
When ol’ Hugo or Fidel decide it’s time to turn the political screws even tighter, it must be nice to hop on your private jet, fly away and leave the local hoi polloi – stupid oafs, they all deserve to get smacked with cell phones by their betters! – behind in their “workers’ paradise.”
Nicer still to return to eeevil capitalist Amerika, where she can go on “earning” her living by parading around in weird-looking clothing – while simultaneously congratulating herself on how avant-garde and “worldly” she is.
Socialism is great — as long as you’re rich enough to insulate yourself from its effects on everyone else. For you can “Live the Fantasy” that statism and collectivism can actually work, a state of mind that the “little people” can’t afford for themselves.

Ever since her legal troubles and her past drug abuse issues (pills, cocaine), she’s been trying to latch on to these radical lefties as a way to look socially-conscious and serious. She’s so stupid and uninformed, she has no idea or doesn’t care about Castro’s gulags or Chavez squashing individual liberty in Venezuela.

The best way to deal with people like Naomi, who makes litter secret of despising you and me as Americans, is to not support them. I will not watch a movie or event that features the likes of Fonda, Penn, Clooney, and Rosie, just to name a few. They are entitled to their politics and I am just as entitled to avoid paying to be abused.
When you look through the acting, and really see the person, then you see either evil or nothingness. Why would you pay for either when there is so much need for good to triumph in this world.
