Hillary’s lips are sealed
If she can’t have plants asking her questions, no one will ask her questions!
As she races through Iowa in the days before next week’s caucuses, Hillary Clinton is taking few chances. She tells crowds that it’s their turn to “pick a president,’’ but over the last two days she has not invited them to ask her any questions.
Before the brief Christmas break, the New York senator had been setting aside time after campaign speeches to hear from the audience. Now when she’s done speaking, her theme songs blare from loudspeakers, preventing any kind of public Q&A.
She was no more inviting when a television reporter approached her after a rally on Thursday and asked if she was “moved’’ by Benazir Bhutto’s assassination. Clinton turned away without answering.
Her daughter, Chelsea, had the same reaction when a reporter approached her with a question.
On the upside, she can’t lie if her lips aren’t moving. Can she?

NOW is the time for Obama and Edwards and lower-rung candidates struggling to bear heard to immediately call out the Democrat frontrunner - Clinton - and rightfully accuse her of dodging questions in a cowardly and calculating manner unbefitting a President.
NOW is the time for second and third rung democrat candidates to IMMEDIATELY arrange for a Fox News debate and dare the top-rung candidates to appear, then make your very strong cases to the American people and call out Clinton and the other top-rung candidates for being too cowardly to appear - and prove that you, and not Clinton and Obama and Edwards - are the real presidential material.
NOW is your time guys. Hillary won’t answer and thing and will have her back against the wall, but the opportunity to get back into the run for the Presidency is fleeting. They’ll all look cowardly and not nearly as brave as you - no kidding - for not joining you on the Fox News television screens. Imagine what you can do with 3 million viewers seeing you suddenly emerge and the frontrunner hiding uinseen.
If any of you advising the lower Democrat candidates are reading this, move now, FAST. Now is your opportunity. Don’t blow it!

I can not figure out why anyone supports this woman. If she is to good to answer questions now what would she be like as a president? Okay, I know the answer to that one. The Iowa reported who was stiffed by Hillary should have taken a leaf out of the Sam Donaldson school of interviewing. Sam was noted for shouting “Mr. President, Mr. President after Ronald Reagan.
To get Hilliary’s attention all she would have to do is shout “Your Majesty, Your Majesty! at Hillary and she would get all the time she wanted!
I just don’t get how people (her supporters)don’t see how she is. Scary that she has the wool pulled over so many eyes.

Oh let me count the ways - facial expressions, hand gestures, posture, clothing, body movements, not to mention use of surrogates, sycophants, campaign literature - virtually everything she does verbally or non-verbally is a lie.
But the “big lie theory” is really put to the test when she constantly refers to herself as “experienced.” She was a resident of the White House for 8 years (so was Socks the cat) and an official tourist in many foreign countries. Did she engage in any summits with foreign leaders, or negotiate any agreements of treaties, or broker any deals during any of her junkets? The only policy that was hers and hers alone was the catastrophic failure on health care. What has been her signature accomplishment of being the junior senator form her carpetbagged state? Only the less experienced (Obama and Edwards) can let her go unchallenged on this.

If Hillary is not above using planted questioners in an audience, what makes anyone think she is not above using planted, or at least well researched media types. She most likely avoided that reporter in Iowa because she didn’t know whether the reporter was a lapdog or a real one.
Real reporters are rare, but they DO exist. Hyper-controlling Hillary can’t take a chance that she MIGHT run into one. She MIGHT have to answer a real, hard question for once.

By not answering questions, she does not have to worry about double talk onher part. She does not have to clarify any of her so called chages and progressive plans. Its pretty smart actually. She can give all the platitudes and slogans that generate support from emmotion. This is done before people stop and think about how her socialist plans will be enacted, paid for, and how they will screw up the average persons life.

This may have more to do with Bill’s flight attendent staff (think Matt Helm babes) than anything else. Good thing that he is on a separate itinerary. Gotta watch out though, she go into one of those spins and disappear in puff of smoke. And you can’t just dump a pail of water on her either.
I think most of her supporters actually see her for what she is, like it and share her vision for this country. That is what is most disturbing about her candidacy. This country has sunk to the point were somebody like HRC has a very real chance of becoming president.

How is this question vulgar? It seems like a softball to me. And why should she not answer questions that strike close to home, if that is indeed why she didn’t answer the question? In any case she will have to answer questions much more challenging than that if she is elected president.
The answer was an opportunity for her to shine with an eliquent answer since she claim’s she has known her for a dozen year’s and was a good friend. Something like:
Yes, I was very moved by Benazir Bhutto’s death she was a beacon of hope for women in the middle east and a very good friend. Democracy, Pakistan and the world will suffer from her absent’s.

A former leader of a country that is a very important, very complex piece of the puzzle comes back to that country to run for office again, throwing that country into turmoil, and gets assassinated. This has the ability to create further chaos in an already turbulent islamic country that has nuclear weapons.
As a president, she damn sure would have to deal with this, and better be verrrry careful on how she tries to defuse this bomb. In the 1976 Democratic primary season, there was speculation that Ted Kennedy might enter the race. When the press asked Jimmy Carter’s mother Lillian about this (!), she replied to the effect “I hope he will be all right” — an allusion to his dead brothers. The response of the press gallery was to boo and hiss her. The reason? — because it was (correctly) seen that raising the issue of assassination is tantamount to putting it on the agenda, and therefore increasing the chances of its happening.
This is why it is a vulgar question to put to Hillary, because to pin the issue onto Hillary overlooks her own fear of assassination. True, we may say that the threat is remote for her, but it strikes close to home for her anyway, and who among us cannot sympathise with that?

You make a good point but I respectfully disagree. Every president and most major candidates live with this very real threat. It is, unfortunately, part of the job. In the case of Lillian Carter, she brought it up without prompting, thus “putting it on the table.” Being asked to comment on an assasination is not not the same. As president she will quite possibly be faced with the assasination of a foreign leader and asked numerous questions on the event. She missed an opportunity to look presidential and show all that experience to the world. (Not that it would change my opinion of her to be truthful.)

I do agree, however, that Truman’s quote applies: “If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.” Hillary has to front up to questions like these, since she’s running for President. But if the question is put too crassly, she is right not to respond. I don’t know how the question was put to her on this occasion, but you know how the Press is.
The issue of Pakistan’s “70″ nuclear bombs is a reeeeeaall worry. Hillary can go jump. Who knows what to do about those bombs?!?
If I were to run for POTUS I would know the real possibility of someone wanting to assasinate me I certainly would’nt live in fear of it. If Billary is’nt aware of this possibility and if she can’t answer question’s about world event’s then she should’nt be running for POTUS plain and simple.

Let’s not overlook a foreign policy venture (of sorts) of Hillary. In 1995, she keynoted the Beijing Women’s Conference. How much she had to do with drafting the “Platform of Action” I am unable to determine. We may think of that gathering as a historical footnote, as her attendance there give her hubby the opportunity to fool around with a certain intern named Monica, but feminists have treated that “Platform” as their “Communist Manifesto” ever since.
