There are so many imbecilic quotes that came out of the pieholes of Democrats this year, that it's hard to pick one that stood out.

As for the good ones, I like "I am John Doe" because it's a defiant poke in the eye to the Islamo-nuts and the craven PC crowd. I also like the quote:

<blockquote>"He felt that what we were doing was just and right.” - Charles Cummings, father of fallen hero Army PFC Branden Cummings, who died in an IED attack in Diyala, Iraq.</blockquote>

That sums it up for this old Soldier.

Rick Moran

I agree with you that seeing Nifong get put in his place was a good thing. It was about time some of these charlatans were held responsible for the damages their actions cause.

My other favorite moment along those lines was seeing Dingy Harry get his treasonous comments about the Iraq war being lost and the surge not working shoved where the sun doesn't shine. He was saying that before the additional troops were even in place to commence the new strategy. In this old Marine's eyes he and his cohorts are modern day versions of Benedict Arnold.

I personally wish that military service was a pre-requisite for holding office. Not having served means not understanding the level of sacrifice and devotion to duty required of these "Real Americans".

Ombre Rose,
You mean this photo of Hillary?
http://chickaboomer.blogspot.com/2007/12/elles-belle.html</blockquote>

Thank you very much, but no.

I am not exactly sure why my post was removed, I was a bit snotty about the incident I am referring to, so if this doesn't post...
But early in Clinton's administrations, I THINK, Hillary went to the Middle East, and did not go to the Israeli leadership, but went to Arafat, and when they met, she kissed him full on the mouth - not the French kiss on both cheeks he usually did. The photo was a perfect profile of them both, not a different angle - but very clear.
The photo stayed up for WEEKS, and the forums I was on ran THOUSANDS of posts commenting on her kissing old "CAMEL LIPS" when after Carter's faux pas about LUSTING AFTER OTHER WOMEN on the Muslim airport tarmac, we were stunned that she did that. It would have been presumptious of her to shake his hand, or be kissed by him on both cheeks! After all the comments he made about lewd women regarding Muslim law, in the weeks running up to her visit.

In googling, the photo of her kissing Arafat's WIFE is mentioned a lot - BUT NOTHING of her kissing ARAFAT HIMSELF - OLD CAMEL LIPS!
And his wife was not there, and Bill was not there.
"SCANDALOUS"!!!

When she kissed his WIFE, later on a different trip altogether, I don't even remember anyone commenting on THAT.

Ah...memories!

The moment of the year for me was the take down of Nifong. That arrogant pissant becoming a defendant was the most satisfying turn of events of the year.

Sliccary’s silly comments about being fearful of what she might find under the rug in the Oval Office are classic Clintonian subterfuge. She should make an inquiry with President and Mrs. Bush as to their findings after following her sexual predator and philandering husband into office. It was not socks they were “pickin up off the floor” and I am sure that the stains and soggy cigars were not exactly a welcome sight for them to find. Clean up your own messy home first Sliccary.

I nominate this quote from Bill Maher on May 3, 2007 (along will the response) as one of the funniest quotes of the year:

<blockquote>But isn't one of the main selling points of the Democratic Party that it's relatively nut-free?
(Bill, the politically correct term is "testicularly-challenged".)</blockquote>
