The 1,200 law enforcement officers on hand were poised to deal with any disruptions in the parade shown around the world on television. Human rights advocates said they will protest a float honoring the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and anti-war activists led by “Peace Mom” Cindy Sheehan said they would demonstrate against President Bush.

It’s up on Drudge. Apparently, they didn’t march. They certainly didn’t get any coverage from what I can find.

It was reported (sorry, no link handy) earlier this year that they had finally placed a stone above Casey’s grave. It took them more than 3 years to do.

Even less honorable is the New York Times. Nowhere in the hundreds of articles and commentaries published about Cindy Sheehan have they once mentioned Casey was awarded the Bronze Star for valor for his actions the day he died.

I have a buddy who is a hard worker and has good ideas, but he is so ham-handed in interpersonal relationships he makes even his best ideas seem stupid and worthless; he certainly fails to inspire.

Woe be to the causes of those who confuse earnestness and sincerity with vulgarity and rudeness

Both liars, both just can’t make themselves disappear.

Why these people get any news coverage at all is beyond me. They are pathetic.

What makes these people think that any body cares what they have to say, after making the effort of designing and building a float or camping out on the street to see a parade?

Do they really think everyone in America is going to see those banners blocking their view of the parade and think “hey, we should impeach the president”?

Get a life Cindy et al.

I’m going to watch just to see if one of the float’s goes out of control and wipes the whole bunch out.
