One other thing that deserves tribute is Michelle’s great moments on TV this past year. An awful lot of people get their 15 minutes and then it’s ‘Exit, stage left.’ Nice to see her continuing success, and Mary K. Ham’s, as well.

At the risk of dissenting from the crowd, for an ‘iconic image of the war’, I thought the current one was a horrid choice.

Yuck.

Okay if I toss out a few fun links in the spirit of the new year?

- I suppose you’ve heard that Little Knut, the polar bear, is dying? It’s pretty sad, really. Animal rights activists in Germany finally got him sent home to the Arctic, now that he’s all grown up, but they didn’t count on global warming.

- Someone here or on HotAir was complaining a while back about the lousy quality of videos on the web, and wondered if that was normal. Well, no.

As I sit here on January 1, 2008, I say I am not, and resolve to never be part of that tribe. I do not want to go down their road of “progress” to hell (or is it “Progressive” road to the same place.

In the place of Imagine and John Lennon, let us all never cease to remember Lenin, Stalin, Mao Tse Tung, Kim Jong Il, Kim Il Sung, Fidel Castro, Che Guevarra, and Pol Pot and be suspicious of other “Dreamers” and tribal chiefs — domestically and internationally — who desire the world to live together as one.

Lest we forget – thanks to our host Michelle and lots of other activists, we (that’s us readers) shut down the capitol switchboard (for the first time ever??) after Michael Chertoff said about Sen. Kennedy:

“He’s awesome,” gushed Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff , as he left a news conference announcing the bipartisan agreement. “I’d say he was one of the critical leaders in putting together this deal.”

The ‘deal’ that would REWARD illegal aliens with precious American citizenship. I vote for Lettucehead as Jerk of the Year.
