Update: Yawn

USA TODAY TV editor Bruce Schwartz tells us that Clinton’s cameo on Letterman is quite brief — a pre-recorded joke about Dave having been off the air for 8 weeks because of the writers’ strike, ending with Clinton saying that “tonight, he’s back. Oh, well, all good things come to an end.”

Huck’s doing Leno. Now, Hill’s doing Letterman. Access Hollywood reports:

Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will be a surprise guest when David Letterman returns to the air tonight.

Worldwide Pants, which produces “The Late Show With David Letterman,” reached a deal over the holiday period with the WGA, which today sees his writers returning to work.

Earlier it was announced that Robin Williams was Letterman’s first guest, but now, Access Hollywood has exclusively learned that Clinton will also make an appearance.

Will she read her Top 10 blunders on Pakistan?

Or don her Superwoman costume?

Or maybe she’ll dance like Drew Barrymore?

Wouldn’t it be novel if Letterman were as hard on Hillary as he was on Paris Hilton?

Here’s Hillary and Dave cackling about her pantsuits during her visit to the show last summer…
