The article more or less confirms that they mother fled the home with the girls on Christmas Eve because the father had threatened to kill the girls over who they were dating;

The differences reported in the eulogies is astounding. The Christian service talks of life and good. The Islamic service says that all things die, and that parents need to work to keep families together. In other words, s–t happens, and it is probably the mother’s fault for breaking up the household.

The silence from the Muslim community. Ironic that a small dairy here has put up a $10,000 reward and no Muslim group has contributed a dime.

I would never put mine or my family's safety in their hands and I have quite a few converted friends (mostly Lebanese) who would rather they were all deported. I am just saying that there are some who are not as radical as others. It may be that this is like being a little bit psychotic....I do think that a couple of the women I know would like to live differently but they were raised to obey men and won't divorce because I have a feeling there would be more honor killings if they did. Unfortunately, they know radicals and know how radicals react. As one friend said, " I can't have my children at the mercy of these people." I also suspect her husband is more radical than I have been allowed to see because she wants to become a citizen and he won't let her. He is a naturalized citizen and votes but she cannot become a citizen and he says that if she goes against him he will take the children and go back to Egypt and give them to his parents. We don't know what goes on in their households. We don't have any idea what goes on in their Mosques.
