Anyone who believes Hillary spontaneously teared up and got emotional on the campaign trail today has been in a coma the last three decades.
Forget a box of Kleenex. I need an airsickness bag.

“My question is very personal, how do you do it?” asked Marianne Pernold Young, a freelance photographer from Portsmouth, New Hampshire. “How do you, how do you keep upbeat and so wonderful?”
Clinton began responding, jokingly: “You know, I think, well luckily, on special days I do have help. If you see me every day and if you look on some of the websites and listen to some of the commentators they always find me on the day I didn’t have help. It’s not easy.”
Then Clinton began getting emotional: “It’s not easy, and I couldn’t do it if I didn’t passionately believe it was the right thing to do. You know I have so many opportunities from this country just don’t want to see us fall backwards,” she said.
Then, her voice breaking and tears in her eyes, she said, “You know, this is very personal for me. It’s not just political it’s not just public. I see what’s happening, and we have to reverse it.”

Funny, I don’t remember her or Billy ever getting emotional about our military and their sacrifice. Bush has shown emotion like that but he is human. The Clintons are not human, only calcualting.

I couldn’t find much on Marianne Pernold Young. She’s a breast cancer survivor, and is active in the arts — not surprising for a photographer, I suppose. The juiciest little tidbit is that she was President Carter’s campaign photographer — har! (I personally think he looks a little like Silky Pony in that picture…)
We’ve come a long way – haven’t we? I think Islandman said it first in referencing Ed Muskie. His career was ended in one instance because he shed a tear over the insensitive actions of the press over his wife and in defending her in front of a crowd, shed a tear. It wouldn’t have mattered whether it was done in public or in private, once the press got hold of it, his career as a politician seeking the top spot in this country was ended. Can’t have a weak person like that leading. Double standard?
Now, what? It is politically fashionable to well up with tears? Because it’s so personal?

Let’s not forget that Bill Clinton cried on cue also. Remember the day he nominated Ruth Bader Ginsburg to the US Supreme Court? Clinton was so filled with selfconratulation that he actually cried when he discussed how brave and charitable he was. He conveniently left out that Ronald Reagan had nominated Sandra Day O’Connor years earlier. The Clintons are great at phony weeping. I can’t help but contrast it with the gracious and wonderful Nancy Reagan. The Reagans went to the Holocaust survivors gathering at the Capital Center in Landover, Maryland in 1985. President Reagan gave an extraordinary speech that moved many survivors to tears. And Mrs. Reagan, off to the side, began to cry but didn’t want to do it publicly. It was so sincere and so like the Reagans. The Reagans had so much empathy and affection for others. With the Clintons, the tears are never anything less that selfcongratulatory. Hillary, of course, is not crying because she is going to get whomped tomorrow. She is only crying because she loves the poor and middle class so much.

I think they’re just tears of utter frustration that people aren’t falling in line for her. I really do believe that in her arrogance she was so certain she would continue to poll ahead of everyone else that she just can’t believe her carefully oiled machine is rusting.

Is this really the kind of President people want? Is this the strong person she really want to be portraying in order to get votes? And she is wondering what went wrong in the Caucus?
