Hillary gets leaky

“It’s not easy.”

All together now: Boo-freaking-hoo.

Anyone who believes Hillary spontaneously teared up and got emotional on the campaign trail today has been in a coma the last three decades.

Forget a box of Kleenex. I need an airsickness bag.

Via ABC News:

“My question is very personal, how do you do it?” asked Marianne Pernold Young, a freelance photographer from Portsmouth, New Hampshire. “How do you, how do you keep upbeat and so wonderful?”

Clinton began responding, jokingly: “You know, I think, well luckily, on special days I do have help. If you see me every day and if you look on some of the websites and listen to some of the commentators they always find me on the day I didn’t have help. It’s not easy.”

Then Clinton began getting emotional: “It’s not easy, and I couldn’t do it if I didn’t passionately believe it was the right thing to do. You know I have so many opportunities from this country just don’t want to see us fall backwards,” she said.

Then, her voice breaking and tears in her eyes, she said, “You know, this is very personal for me. It’s not just political it’s not just public. I see what’s happening, and we have to reverse it.”

Question: How did she get those tears to flow?

Commenters below think she borrowed pepperspray-tainted eyeliner from Miss Puerto Rico. I’m going with hidden onion slices in her pantsuit sleeves.

is there an internet radio show in Bear1909’s future?

I might listen but would be disappointed not being able to see the Thongette’s in the background.

Like I said in another thread…the most fun I am having, is watching and listening to all the Dems and Libs talking about and saying all the things about her and yes, even Bill that we Republicans and Conservatives have been saying about them for over 16 years now. I can’t believe that the Clinton mystique has taken this long to wear off, nor that it took her running for President to do it, but it is truly refreshing and a really great sign to have it finally happening.

This must be what it felt like in the movie “the 40 Year Old Virgin” when at the end, they were all singing and dancing to “Age of Aquarius”. Where is my Hippie wreath of flowers for my head?

Enough with the myth that it takes a strong person to cry. Creemenie Cripes! We’re two-leggeds. We cry. It’s in our DNA. Some cry more than others.

So why is it perceived as a virtue? Suck it up. Yer runnin for President. Shed a tear at Arlington National Cemetery. Shed a tear at Gettysburg. Shed a tear at Walter Reed or any VA hospital. At the monuments you so despise.

I won’t be shedding a tear when yer chickens come home to roost. Nosiree Bawb. I won’t be shedding a tear when they find the papers Sandy Berger stole or when you happen to forget those files you carry around with you in some New Hampshire diner while you lie about why you wannabe El Presidente.

    Nosiree Bawb.

Question for ya, PIAPS: if your tears could talk what would they be sayin?

This reminds me of the story about the Governor of Louisiana who ‘fell apart’ during the hurricane Katrina and was reduced to tears in her office. It would be like being on the Titanic and having the Captain burst into tears when the ship hits the iceberg. It would unnerve me if I were onboard!!!

It takes a very strong personality to be President — that is why it is imperative that Americans vote for the best candidate to fill that need – - not because they are a minority or a woman alone, but because they can do the job.

I can’t imagine Margaret Thatcher getting teary-eyed in any public situation.

I actually think that the tears may indeed be genuine.

Rumour has it that she has a rather painful cut which has become infected: the unfortunate result of a slip whilst shaving her back.

As I watch the clip and the commentaries on this Hillary scenario, I have begun to ask the question that all these journalists should have asked. Especially, by the journalist that elicited the tearfulo response, but also the pundits who are all taking about it tonight????

What exactly did she mean when she said

I see what’s happening, and we have to reverse it.

What the H– does that mean???? Her answer to that would be very meaninful to the voter; but no one asked. I also think I “see what’s happening” in this country and feel as strongly that “we have to reverse it”; but I don’t think her answer would come close to mine – - i.e. the liberals are destroying our culture and our childen – - our future.

Please, someone ask her what she meant???

The reporterette lost me at “How do you, how do you keep upbeat and so wonderful?”

No lovefest here! That question alone created a volley of projectile vomiting.

Hillary could bite the head off a puppy and not shed a tear. FAKE, FAKE, FAKE!

Did anyone actually see a tear? I don’t think she has one in her!

Wonder what she will do when the crazies attack us again? Call Osama and ask him to please stop–he caused her to cry!

Her husband is much better at bringing up instant tears! I remember a clip Rush played years ago. Clinton is walking along with another person, bible in hand, having a good old laugh. The instant he spotted a camera on him the laughter stopped and he produced a tear or two! Absolute phonies! Both of them!

Ahhh.thanks for the wreath…now I must skip merrily about as a “Breasts Not Bombs” trog.

Funny thing about Hill-Dawg busting out into tears all the time…

When Pres. Bush would legitimately get chocked up when holding the daughter of a murdered 9-11 victim, or when visiting a wounded soldier or the family of a soldier killed by an Islamic thug, the MSM and the Liberals mocked him, clled him weak and satd he was faking and doing it for effect.

Where is all the citicism of this whiney little cry-baby who turns on the waterworks everytime she doesn’t get her way or feels picked on as a ploy to garner sympathy from the voters? She hasn’t even realized that it bckfired on her yet.

There was an early episode where Mr. Burns runs for governor. Lisa is forced to pose a staged question to him:

Lisa: Mr. Burns, your campaign seems to have the momentum of a runaway freight train. Why are you so popular?

Compare with: How do you, how do you keep upbeat and so wonderful?

The issue isn’t whether or not the tears were fake – after all, there was the visible evidence of red, watery eyes – but rather, the motive behind those tears.

She wasn’t misty-eyed because of some benevolent concern for the nation; to the contrary, she was on the verge of an old fashioned bawlin’ because the realization had set-in that her own party, the party she nearly single-handedly decimated with Hillary-care in the ‘94 election, may very well deny her the “destiny” her Clinton-centric view had deemed was rightfully hers for having endured the last twenty-some years of marriage to Bill – the U.S. Presidency!
