Moonbat art break
For those of you who are Iowa-ed and New Hampshire-d out, go take a look at the Society of Illustrators’ new anti-war art exhibit. Same old BDS and troop-bashing fever wrapped in faux compassion:
These works of art will give a voice to those whose views are not represented by the mainstream media. We will be using this forum as a way to support those most directly affected by the harsh consequences of military combat—the brave men and women who serve their country as well as their family members who must live with the affects of war long after the parades are over.
Judge for yourselves. I won’t reprint any of the pieces in entirety, but here are a few glimpses:
At least there were no vultures this time.
Next stop for this exhibit: Portland’s airport?

What? Because ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, AP and the like don’t work hard to represent the views of anti-war groups? Hell, most of the reporters themselves *are* anti-war.
And the fact that these women and men volunteer their service to their country means what, exactly?
Oh, that’s right – nothing. Because moonbats and lefties know nothing about self-sacrifice. They prefer to mandate that job to others.
Wait…what?? These appear to be the ONLY views represented by the mainstream media!
Perhaps someone should declare jihad on these artists?
/sarc
Would these folks Hate Georoge Washington, Abe Lincoln, FDR, and Harry Truman for their wars? Maybe these truthers would think twice if the nation still had slavery or we were slaves of Imperial Japan or Nazi Germany. These folks are unable to reason.
Thank GOD these “artists” are not on our side. I am sure their “art” will sell well in Iran.
Another generation of propaganda artists.
If a child was caught doodling this stuff in a classroom, and the likenesses weren’t clearly the President’s, then there would an expulsion and a subsequent investigation into the distasteful, hate-filled scribblings of a deranged youngster.
And, now, thanks to you Mrs. Malkin, they’ll probably receive more views in the next two hours than they’ll get in the next six months.
There’s a lot of talent here. One normally has to suffer from hallucinatory visions to witness flaming dove vomit. Very special.
Sigh… OK please remember that illustrators work on commission. That is they are paid to illustrate so the work my not necessarily represent the view of the artist… I know some folks in the biz that are decent.
I blame the publishing media in such as all of these works were commissioned. Hence the term “art whore”.
Having said that, it is still pretty disgusting.
Propagandists are paid to draw, brooklyn red?
But, but, I thought this art came from deep within their angry and distraught inner beings. I thought these were the pure unadulterated expressions of their guilty American hearts. I thought this art mattered.
Now, you tell me that it’s not even art. They’re just a bunch of cartoons by hacks trying to earn a living (I mean hacks in the nicest sense of the word, not like when Helen Thomas says bloggers.)
My cynicism about people who are against the war and the administration just got a little deeper.
(yes, I’m being sarcastic. except for the parentheticals.)
Yeah, right, sure, that’s art. In a pigs eye…
Art?
FART?
Nothing but GAS. B1tch, P1ss, and moan while others FIGHT, DIE and MOAN!
They DON’T support the troops!
Prostitutes really.
Look, if Time, Newsweek, NY Times whoever wants to run an anti-war piece… they
buy a hookercommission an illustrator.yo, it’s a free market solution
Very sophomoric.
And if you never did a job you didn’t like cause you needed the money… well be my guest, cast the first stone.
You can kind of tell the half-hearted ones.
But a couple of them really are gems of traditional hyper-emotional propaganda.
And as far as jobs I didn’t like but I needed the money…well, I was in this film, back in college…
I might do work I don’t like for a buck, but I really don’t think I could compromise my principles. I think to pull off the works in this collection you either have to believe in what you’re doing or simply not care.
One of the ones that I happen to like, The Struggle at Home by David Flaherty is unpublished. Probably didn’t convey the correct sentiment for the readers of Mother Jones.
That’s when ethics come in handy.
With friends like this who needs enemies. No wonder the Iraqi Sunni’s thought we were monsters.
Most of the artists can’t sell their crap work. This exhibition at least garners them some fawning appreciation from the left-wing nuts. Of course, these same fawning nitwits also don’t spend their money on things artistic or controversial. Their way to intellectual and sophisticated for that. Rather, they’ll hang Hillary signs in their fronts yards an bumper stickers by the dozen on the fuel-efficient car, and tote all their liberal friends around in their expensive foreign made SUV.
What? Who? Who of these anti-American, anti-Military, pro-Islamic Jihadi “artist” and their views are not represented in the Main Stream Media? Who are these people that feel that after over six years of this stuff, they still feel that they are the oppressed few, and that nobody ever gets to be treated to their “High Quality” art? Are they really serious about feeling so oppressed? Do they really feel that their “message” has not been shoved down people’s throats so much that they have begun to gag on it…even the ones that actually support their views? (look at what happened to Sheehan.)
Parades? WHAT parades? has anyone seen any parades? Has anyone heard of any parades being sceduled? Heck, the only thing close to something that could even be MISTAKN for a parade is when the individual companies and divisions and such come home, and then these are the very idiots and seditious traitors who go to meet them snd yell horrible things at them, call them baby killers, sit in fromt of their vehicles as they did in Olympia, and hold up signs, degrading them for their service and telling them that what they have been doing was a lie and for a lie and that their service was wrong etc. like you see at Walter Reed.
You can guarantee that if Islam were to capitulate right now, cave in and surrender unconditionally, turn over any and all weapons, turn over all Islamic regimes to American and UN/NATO rule pending independant free elections and individual constitutional governments being installed in each and every nation state, israel being recognized by every and all countries and all soldiers now serving over seas being returned home to a stunning Ticker Tape Parade down Wall Street, that these people would be there, protesting against these men and women, continuing to call them the same names they always have, calling out the same conspiricies, along with new onse explaining why Islam capitulated, and doing everything they can to make true Americans, proud of their brave military, embarassed for these people and miserable for having to put up with them.
To put up this statement along with this…”ART” is yet another slap in the face of every man and woman who has ever served or is serving, has ever been injured or given their life for the simple fact that we all know the real reason it is there, and it sure as Hell isn’t to honor any soldier in any way, shape or form, living or dead, healthy or wounded…and no…I will not accept it as an “Olive Branch”.
These people are disgusting and live without shame or a conscience.
Gullible and naive young people who are easily led. Unfortunately, they receive a lot of support from the Left who use them for political gains, supported by the MSM. They hear the words, but don’t comprehend the meanings…the ignorant masses, that the Left loves.
I can’t believe what passes for “art” these days. Some of these were just cartoons, for crying out loud, and of those, few of them could draw better than my 3 year old. The quartered soldier for instance, where the soldier is made to look like a steak chart – I’ve seen better “art” in preschool. There are a couple, however, that seemed to buck the typical nutroot trend. The Iranian laughing at the NIE, for instance. But yes, the rest are crap.
The themes represented in this “art” are the same old crap that keeps getting older by the day: war for oil, Bush is Hitler, Cheny runs the country….yada, yada, yada.
I know it’s been said before, but these “artists” should be grateful they are in a country where they can express their tired old ideas. The American military provides that freedom.
Yes, I’ve done work just because I needed the money, but I’ve never whored myself out.
Well, I’ve not seen any parades here. Just in case any of you “trolls” are here, pass it along to your nutty, moonbat friends that I don’t need their kind of “support”. They do not give a crap about the military and never have. These people would only have a favorable response to a military member, who they refer to above as being “brave”, if that person had something negative to say about the WOT, Bush, etc. How about the “harsh consequences” from the BDS we are subjected to daily?
Give me a break!!!
Yes. According the them, there is *never* a reason to go to war.
A few times, I’ve seen bumper stickers that read “I’m already against the next war.”
Presumably, they’re trying to show just how peace-loving and progressive they are.
What I want to ask them is whether or not their lives – their families/friends, and what they’ve worked for – means anything to them. If they say, “Yes”, then I’d like to ask them whether or not they’d be against the next war if it threatened their lives and safety. Would they be consistent and oppose the war – even if it meant losing everyone and everything precious to them?
My guess is they’d be in quite a progressive-thought pickle then.
That is the biggest load of disingenous crap I’ve seen. They don’t give a damn about American troops or what it takes to make sure none of them are forced to knuckle under the Caliphate envisoned by Bin Laden.
I sent them this e-mail:
Too bad they probably won’t get it.
So many thoughts swirling through my head…
First and foremost, Giving a voice to those whose views are not represented by the mainstream media??!?!?!!!?!?!?!
I choked back the bile and looked through all of the “art.” It’s so clever. I especially like the subtlety of pieces like the one that has Bush as a dummy on Cheney’s knee or the one that has an elephant in armor dancing in blood.
Of course, the prerequisite Nazi comparison was in there in the form of a quote by Hermann Göring.
The list of publications was unsurprising: Time, New Yorker, Rolling Stone, New York Times, etc…
Oh, and I was not pleased to see the Norman Rockwell piece included with this garbage.
Sometimes I feel like I could use this site as a diet tool for the new year. Reading about Hillary crying and this “art show” and all the other good stuff before lunch could really keep me from being able to swallow my food.
I think they are children who want to live in their simplistic but unrealistic world. I pity them because they are not equipped to live in the real world.
navywife91:
Right on. Couldn’t have said it better myself.
I also gagged when I read this nonsense:
We will be using this forum as a way to support those most directly affected by the harsh consequences of military combat—the brave men and women who serve their country as well as their family members who must live with the affects of war long after the parades are over.
This “art” is supposed to give a voice to me and mine? HAHA. I had to read that 3 times to make sure I read it right. If anything thier “art” is outright insulting.
Who do they think they are kidding?
The nerve of some of these clowns outstounds me.
“Parades” indeed. Jesus…
I called them and the lady that answered was very nice and said she agrees with my viewpoint. I also sent this email:
To whom it may concern:
I find myself nearly at a loss for words to describe the feelings I had when I saw the online show of the “Artists Against the War” exhibit. I was so affected by this exhibit that I felt it necessary to take the time to try to articulate my feelings in a brief email. I was particularly touched because of the opening message on your website:
“We will be using this forum as a way to support those most directly affected by the harsh consequences of military combat—the brave men and women who serve their country as well as their family members who must live with the affects of war long after the parades are over.”
How dare you claim “support” for myself and my family! I am a vet and I find your “art” (propaganda) particularly offensive. I realize it will do no good to try and explain why your viewpoints are flawed, so I will merely confine my comments to your audacity in claiming “support” for me.
What parades exactly are you talking about? I remember a small ceremony with my unit and immediate family members. I remember a couple of nice awards being handed out. I certainly don’t remember any parades. No one from your side of the political fence would ever consider having a parade for returning soldiers. Instead this “art” is how you think you are honoring us. You wouldn’t even think of celebrating necessary military action and the brave men and women that voluntarily take part in that action.
Instead you claim to speak for us and then proceed to sponsor “art” whose message is clear:
“US soldiers are pawns in a war for profit. US policy (and by extension, the US soldier) commits murder in the name of profit.”
You couldn’t be more hopelessly wrong and offensive.
By now, I’m sure you are rolling your eyes and I really do not care, so I will end with this:
I encourage you to take the offending phrase off of your website and exhibit. You DO NOT support US soldiers because if you did your art would represent heroic men and women fighting victoriously against evil men that would just as soon look at you as kill you. I’m sure the enemy appreciates your art though, there is nothing they would like more than to see the resolve the American public to do the right thing continue to be sapped away by insipid liars within our own country.
I called your number at (212)838-2560. The lady that answered was very nice and said she would pass on what I had to say to her supervisor. I was happy to hear that she seemed to agree with my viewpoint (a sentiment I am sure earns her no friends in the office). She also mentioned that proceeds raised from this exhibit will go to support disabled vets and their families. I want to make it known that were I disabled I would not willingly and knowingly accept money tainted by your exhibit. It is a slap in the face to brave soldiers who have made any kind of sacrifice to fight for a noble and just cause.
Have a nice day.
Do these people have any concept of what life would be like without oil? or Nuclear power? or factories? etc?
The entire world economy runs on energy. Including the cost of manufacturing pencils and paints.
Just let the Arabs cut off the flow and see the cost of a barrel of oil reach say $200, and then they’ll see misery.
There won’t be anyone that could afford to buy food much less art. Come to think of it, there won’t be any food to buy even if you had any money. It takes ships and planes and tractors and trucks to get food to the shelves.
Even if we all used mass transit, if there’s no oil to get the goods transported, there will be no reason for any of us to go to work.
And the law of the jungle says, if we need to take the oil through force, to survive, then that’s what we do. Not that we’re rolling in Iraqi oil by any means.
Like it or not . . .energy makes the world go round.
Idiots.

I’m sorry I wasn’t around when you posted. I enjoyed reading your entry and email. These people are full of it and you proved that by using their own words. I, like you, am tired of these crapweasels claiming they support the military, but then they do everything they can to impede our progress and prevent victory.
BS, I blame the artist, your telling me that the artist had absolutley no input c’mon who’s eyes are you trying to pull the wool over. What self respecting artist would take a job like this unless they agreed in some way, I know I would’nt do this type of art for any amount of money and I mean any amount. I would tell them to get bent and go back under the rock they crawled from.
navywife91:
No need to apologize
. I am glad you share my views.
Anyhow, I haven’t rec’d any response to my email and I will be surprised if I do recieve one.
I will keep you all posted though.
