Michelle, I’ve gotta disagree with you here.

These voting companies have refused to allow independent investigations of these voting machines. It’s not a fear-mongering liberal movement that is saying this – it’s simple fact. The companies have refused to allow anyone to verify or test these machines, and the “security” on them is a joke at best.

I’m in IT, so I can tell you that there is no bug-free system and there is no way in hell there’s a better system than paper ballots or a paper trail for the electronic voting booths.

Nutroots rant and rave about everything on God’s green earth but in this case it isn’t just them – it’s everyone. These systems are inherently flawed and miscalculate votes on a regular basis. For even one vote to be cast aside thanks to a faulty machine is a crime against our democracy. And the companies behind them have actively sought to prevent any investigations into their flaws. It happened in California and it’s happening in New Jersey. Search TechDirt for “voting” or just take a quick look at Princeton professor Ed Felten’s blog, Freedom to Tinker.

It is amazing that the people who impede all steps to eliminate voter fraud throw up this crap. Oh no! cannot have photo ID’s…or more motor voter laws, or Cook county IL morgue ID’s. These people need to be deported!

So if Obama had won, would it be agreed that NH has a fair and accurate primary process????

It would’ve been a little more believable. To see Hillary sink like a lead balloon after placing 3rd in Iowa and losing her double digit gains, and all the dozens of polls with double digit gains for Obama over Hillary, just doesn’t add up.

It’s not Hillary Derangement Syndrome. It’s just that most of us don’t trust the Clintons, as it should be.

They’ve lied, deceived, cheated their way into just about everything they’ve done in life in the pursuit of “power”.

Oh yes. In Tarrant County, home of Ft Worth and Arlington among other cities
and towns, unless you vote early, there is a paper trail. We use cardboard ballots that are read on their way through the machine.

These Dieboldt comments are scary. Michelle’s post is making fun of sore losers who claim a Dieboldt conspiracy. many commenters here claim that the conspiracy is true. It sounds a lot like what Dems said about the 2000 election. It also sounds a little like the start of “Hillary Derangement Syndrome”.

As was asked around the ’sphere yesterday, “what will it take to get us rid of the Clintons?!” Seems like we were delivered, then NH happened. Then McCain bursts forth like a crocus through the snow. Sheesh. Like many, I just pray for level & cool heads to prevail as the “distillation” process of the candidates continues. As I asked somewhere yesterday, regarding the HRC vote turnout, “how stupid can people get?”. And I answered myself, “apparently, quite…” Barf.

Can a third party person (not a candidate) request a recount?

But then again, that won’t matter either, because those ballots were probably stuffed with fabricated votes for Hillary anyway. They must’ve thrown out the real ones.

Maybe some trash worker will find them in a dumpster somewhere. But then again, they’ve probably been shredded and taken to the ocean by now.

As for electronic voting. I love the idea of electronic voting and the eventual disolving of the the United Stated House of Representatives and the actual voting on bills by individuals. I really hope to see this. That would get ride of 4/5ths of the corruption in our federal government.
