DLTDHYOTWO, Bill Richardson; Update: Is he or isn’t he?
Update 9:30pm Eastern. Is he or isn’t he? AP reported that Richardson is withdrawing. Other MSM outlets say not so. It’s New Hampshire all over again!
***
Bill Richardson is withdrawing from the Dem presidential race. So much for his rallying cry, “On to the West!” See ya:
New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson ended his campaign for the presidency Wednesday after twin fourth-place finishes that showed his impressive credentials could not compete with his rivals’ star power.
Richardson planned to announce the decision Thursday, according to two people close to the governor with knowledge of the decision. They spoke on a condition of anonymity in advance of the governor’s announcement.
But, but, but, didn’t you know that he was Energy Secretary and Governor of New Mexico!?!?
Guess it didn’t matter.
Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

Yes, and he also made a lot of mistakes.
now if we could get some of the same to loosen up on the repub’s side and see where the votes fall.
I heard this on fox just minutes ago and was wondering how long it would take for the DLTDHYOTWO would pop up….
I still say :
Bill Richardson for President……of Mexico.
Well,he’ll enjoy puttin’ his bolo tie back on & gorging himself on enchiladas while drinkin’ with Manny at the Bullring while figurin’ out ways to screw us some more.
He was Energy Secretary during the rolling blackouts in California, Enron, and the energy price-gouging scandal. I never understood why he got a *pass* on that, but then again…who in the Clinton Administration did not get a *pass*?
Wasn’t he Madeline Albright’s Prom Date?
Wasn’t he the Governor of someplace or something? I thought I thought I had heard that somewhere.
Cheney was manipulating the Clinton Administration – he’s that evil and powerful.
buh bye
VP is on his mind anyway. Time to suck up to
Hillaryshe who must not be named. Here is an example of a candidate that should have run from his record. But,like a true liberal there was no shame in all the failures on his resume’. Just another also ran. Yawn.
A “condition of anonymity” pretty much describes the entirety of the Richardson campaign.
He is actually a viable VP candidate. After BO and the Bellower get through with each other, they’ll need someone with a halfway decent image.
Next up for the door’s backswing: Bill Clinton, Jr.
Deregulation of electricity in CA was signed by Pete Wilson (R). Rolling blackouts started in late 2000 during Clinton’s term and continued into 2001 during Bush’s (wonder what corporation was manipulating the market and who they supported). Spencer Abraham was Energy Sec. Wonder what he’s screwing up now? Maybe we should ask Fred?
Yup, better hold it open ’cause Denny K is coming through!
Another one bites the dust…

According to an article in USAToday here:
California Gov. Gray Davis received at least $85,000 in Enron contributions since 1998, according to data from the National Institute on Money in State Politics and the California Secretary of State.

Flush the self aggrandizing turd.
Enron contributed more than $2.4 million in individual, PAC, and soft money contributions to federal candidates and parties, ranking it among the top 50 organizational donors in the 1999-2000 election cycle. The company’s contribution total for the 2000 elections more than doubled its political donations in each of the two previous election cycles.
Enron has already contributed nearly $173,000 to candidates and parties so far this year, almost 90 percent to Republicans. Since the 1989-90 election cycle, Enron has made nearly $5.8 million in campaign contributions, 73 percent to Republicans. (Click here for a look at Enron’s total giving.)…..
The federal government’s involvement could create a quandary for President Bush, who raised nearly $114,000 in PAC and individual contributions from Enron in 1999-2000, making the company one of his biggest donors. Enron also donated $100,000 to the Bush/Cheney inaugural gala in January, a contribution that was matched by Enron’s chairman and chief executive, Kenneth Lay, and his wife. The Lays have contributed a total of almost $883,000 to candidates and parties since 1989, of which 90 percent went to Republicans. They are by far the largest political contributors among Enron employees. (Click here for a look at Enron’s biggest individual givers.)
Lay is a longtime friend of the president and was one of Bush’s top contributors during the presidential election and two gubernatorial campaigns in Texas. Lay, listed by the Bush/Cheney campaign as a Pioneer who raised at least $100,000 for the election, reportedly has been one of the administration’s closest advisors on energy policy since Bush took office.
Sorry, my bad, all Clinton’s fault.
Bill who? Huh – vayo con Dios, amigo.
[I'm sure I misspelled something there, but let it go
]
Isn’t that reason enough to send him packing? Ok Spanish – it’ll be our first official language, but French?
AlohaGuy
I’ll call Richardson’s Spanish and French and raise him Russian and Italian … but I still want English spoken in this country …
…
DLTDHYOTWO!!!!!!!
Yeah, and I also recall something about John Kerry serving in Vietnam or something…
Didn’t Jocelyn Elders use the masturbation word once too much and Ol Billy Jeff had to finally fire her. Hillery I guess finally told him it was time for Jocelyn to go.
What do you think the odds are he’ll endorse Hillary? Those Clintonites are really loyal, you know.
Sure, he only had 5% of the votes but that can make the difference in a close race. Also, consider the impact of having a Latino VP if Hillary chooses him.
Moreover, if it’s already not in play putting Richardson on a Hillary/Bill ticket could turn New Mexico, a state that went for Bush in 2004 into a Clinton state since Bush only won by 6,000 votes out of about 750,000.

While I don’t agree with many of his policies, Richardson had by FAR the best resume of any Democratic candidate. He had domestic experience as Governor of NM AND he had foreign policy experience as Ambassador to the UN… really a better resume than any candidate on EITHER side.
Gun Control/ 2A issues are my main domestic concerns. If Romney or Giuliani won the Republican nomination I could see myself voting for Richardson.
Did Wilma or Pebbles make Fred Flintstone throw in the towel…maybe it was his good buddy Barney Rubble who persuaded him to go back to the golf course……..Smart move…What’s really scary is this idiot was involved in foreign affairs before now…..babbling, blustering boob…..
Bye bye Clinton Crony!
There were serious security problems at the Department of Energy on his watch. Richardson was deeply enmeshed in the policy scandals of the Clinton administration. He was running a hard left campaign. Surprised he didn’t stick around to secure a VP slot.
This is the first time I’ve heard of a Bill Richardson.
What a great week this has been.
The coronation of the Obamessiah (hat tip to M. Steyn) has been postponed (perhaps indefinitely); the lamest presidential candidate by far, even topping Ron Paul if that is possible, has just dropped out; and McCain is back!
Okay, two out of three, but that is all a reasonable person dare hope for these days.
Gee we’re really gonna miss him!
#20:
Don’t be so hard on yourself. It wasn’t Clinton’s fault, Bush’s fault or even Chester Arthur’s fault. Enron’s collapse was it’s own doing and all the political contributions Enron spread–and boy did Enron spread the cash–didn’t get the company anywhere.
Update: Is he or isn’t he?
This will do wonders for his fundraising! Thank you for entering but as Michelle says… DLTDHYOTWO!
What the hell does dltdhyotwo mean? Oh, never mind.
Uh, Scooter56: Ken Lay died 18 months ago. When you write that he “is” this or he “is” that, should we ponder what the definition of “is” is?
My bad again. It is just a cut and paste job. As far as the meaning of “is”, do you mean like “I is a life long hunter” or “I is seeing my dad march with Martin”?
Is this an update or a correction? I thought we weren’t trusting the AP!
I is laughing out loud, Scooter!
he had by far the most foreign policy experience out of all the dems combined.
I thought we weren’t feeding the troll
“his impressive credentials could not compete with his rivals’ star power”
Impressive to whom? He supports open boarders. Favors free school and health care for illegals over citizens. New Mexico is not better off with him, however we as a nation are better off without him in the race for the nomination.
Impressive to trolls and his mirror…and the reporter.
Did he mention he was governor?
Good to see another legacy of the Clinton years fading away. Hopefully the good people of New Mexico will show him the door. For his pandering to illegal invaders he can always go south of the border to seek employment.
Fox just announced that Flipper is endorsing Obama. He’ll be backing Clinton by next week.
“I was for Barak Obama before I was against him”
Uh, forgive me for correcting…
It’s DLTDHYITAOTWO
