    Deregulation of electricity in CA was signed by Pete Wilson (R). Rolling blackouts started in late 2000 during Clinton’s term and continued into 2001 during Bush’s (wonder what corporation was manipulating the market and who they supported). Spencer Abraham was Energy Sec. Wonder what he’s screwing up now? Maybe we should ask Fred?

    Enron contributed more than $2.4 million in individual, PAC, and soft money contributions to federal candidates and parties, ranking it among the top 50 organizational donors in the 1999-2000 election cycle.     Lay is a longtime friend of the president and was one of Bush’s top contributors during the presidential election and two gubernatorial campaigns in Texas.     Sure, he only had 5% of the votes but that can make the difference in a close race. Also, consider the impact of having a Latino VP if Hillary chooses him.

    Moreover, if it’s already not in play putting Richardson on a Hillary/Bill ticket could turn New Mexico, a state that went for Bush in 2004 into a Clinton state since Bush only won by 6,000 votes out of about 750,000.

    Gun Control/ 2A issues are my main domestic concerns. If Romney or Giuliani won the Republican nomination I could see myself voting for Richardson.

    Don’t be so hard on yourself. It wasn’t Clinton’s fault, Bush’s fault or even Chester Arthur’s fault. Enron’s collapse was it’s own doing and all the political contributions Enron spread–and boy did Enron spread the cash–didn’t get the company anywhere.
