For crying out loud; Update: Obama’s gonna get nasty?

By Michelle Malkin  •  January 9, 2008 03:02 PM

Update 3:50pm Eastern. Looks like Barack Obama isn’t crying in a corner: “I think that Senator Clinton, obviously, is a formidable and tough candidate, and we have to make sure that we take it to them just like they take it to us,” the Illinois senator said. “I come from Chicago politics. We’re accustomed to rough and tumble.” Message: No More Tears.

All of the campaign-driven sniveling getting on my nerves. Am I the only one? Chris Matthews is leaky. Rosie O’Donnell can’t get enough of Hillary’s watery eyes (hat tip – Allah). And now, Jesse Jackson, Jr. is miffed that Hillary hasn’t shed enough tears for black people (video and transcript via TPM Election Central):

We saw something very clever in the last week of this campaign coming out of Iowa, going into New Hampshire, we saw a sensitivity factor. Something that Mrs. Clinton has not been able to do with voters that she tried in New Hampshire.

Not in response to voters — not in response to Katrina, not in response to other issues that have devastated the American people, the war in Iraq, we saw tears in response to her appearance. So her appearance brought her to tears, but not Hurricane Katrina.

I’d like a candidate who adopts Johnson and Johnson’s slogan:

We’re moving in a very sad direction if voters really want a sensitive President. How does breaking into tears demonstrate an ability to lead? If anything doesn’t it underscore a concern about how such a person might act in a crisis?

Maybe I am insensitive, but I would prefer not to have our leader, who has to deal with the likes of Iran and North Korea, to be considered sensitive. Call me old-fashioned, but the leader of the free world should have more moral strength than to cry about the hardships of people picking on them.

All of the campaign-driven sniveling getting on my nerves. Am I the only one?

COme on, Michelle. Have you not read any of my posts on that subject? My feelings are crushed.

I have never seen a more pathetic bunch of whiners running for office in my short 40 years. ANY office. And these people are running for President of the United States, Leader of the Free World at a time of war while we face an enemy as dangerous if not more so than the enemy we faced over 60 years ago. Both were bent on world domination, both wished to wipe all Jews off the face of the earth, however the ones we face now actually do so with Liberal blessing and the blessing of Political Correctness, Multi-Culturalism, and hiding behind the lies that they are a peaceful religion and if you question their motives or anything they say or do you will be labelled a biggot, a racist and “Islamophobic”, instantly shutting down any and all debate, conversation, or questioning. This has lead them to run rough-shod all across the globe, with murders, hi-jackings and global attacks reaching new records daily, unopposed save for one man…George Bush…for which he is daily lambasted for it.

Yup, these whiners and cry-babies are so busy showing how sensitive they are that they have failed to show the country the thing tht matters most:

How in the heck are they going to protect us and be tough when the war…you know, the war that we have been fighting for over 6 years that the Dems have been denying and trying to sabotage and surrender to for just as long…heats up as soon as they take office.

You can be sure that as soon as any new President takes office, the “Religion of Peace” will do something to test their mettle. Is this new guy going to be tough and not put up with their noise the way President Bush did? Or are they going to be allowed to get away with murder and mayhem for the next 4-8 years, strengthening their hold on the world and increasing their territories, weakening the Free Nations of the earth in the process, making it more and more likely that the new Caliphate will come to pas and the United States will see nuclear attacs in the very near future the way President Clinton did?

The way these Democrats are camaigning, it is obvious to everyone paying attention the way they will react. Anyone who cries and “FEELS” the way they are and do will obviously not react with strength and power to any feeling out of the wire by the enemy. They will want to “talk” and treat it like it is a crime, not an overt act of war. Well, that attitude killed over 3000 Americans in under 45 minutes. But don’t tell them that…it was Bush’s fault.

Tears get you nowhere. Reagan did not win by crying every time someone hurt his feelings. Kennedy did not cry, neither did Ike, FDR, Teddy R., or any of the great, strong Presidents that was ever worth a damn. Tears may win you votes from other weak willed emotional small minded individuals who feel that Soap Opera stars actually live those type of lives, and that we should all feel sorry for Brittney and MJ, and the only news worth watching is ET and comes on E!, but it will not actually work in the real world where there are real enemies with real guns and real bombs and real swords and real chemicals and really, really want to kill you just because you are an American and live as an American and not with a turban in a desert and face East 5 times a day.

Unfortunately, they will never get it through their heads…not even after it will be too late, and also, most unfortunately our side is too angry and too disorganized that these are the people who will run the country for at least the next 4 years. That’s why I am loading up my ammo, and moving to the sticks.

These are the ‘leaders’ that will take it to the enemies of freedom and liberty?” While the Islamic leaders, the Ghadans, and the Zawahiri’s and the Bin Ladens and the wannabe’s in training, and all the little cell leaders are watching what is happening in this country very very closely, thinking to themselves that they have indeed won. They are thinking that they have taken the victory clean from our hands, stolen it from us right when they were on the ropes much the same as Ho Chi Minh did when he told the delegates that he did not like the table at which the talks were to be held. They are laughing at these tears. they are dancing in the blood of those they behead, rubbing it on their bodies, dancing around the rooms with the heads they just decapitated in their hands, chanting and singing, showing no emotion or only bravado…and the would be leaders of this supposed “Super Power”, the country that is “Standing Up To Islamic Terrorism”, that “has Terrorism on the Run” are crying and weeping like little babies every time they turn on the television.

And they are PROUD of their tears, because it shows how tender and understanding and…well whatever it is it supposedly shows, while once again, the Democrats continue to give our enemies more ammunition, more will, and more reason to kill our men and women serving in this war.

Nobody else in this room has been down the same road I`ve been in going to campaigns, losing them in `76, winning them in 1980, in 1984. And the pressure that`s put on you. Eighteen-hour days, door-knock campaigning.

She`s worked her whole life to be president of the United States of America. And on that day, the pollsters were also telling her, she was going to lose the next day in New Hampshire. Did she well up? Absolutely she did. It was the right question at the right time. I don`t think it was phony, because I`ve seen the Reagan family cry, too, when we`re about ready to lose.
