Hilarious hate mail of the day
It’s been a while since I printed hate mail. You’ve seen one “Hey, BusHitler’s Asian whore, go home” letter, you’ve seen ‘em all. But this one’s such a prize-winner, I had to share:

subject Crying Hillary
mailed-by gmail.comMichelle Malkin,
I bet we could make your cry for real. Force you to eat a hamburger.
I often wonder what will happen when we progressive liberal adults take back our country.
The adults will stop wars for oil,
Everyone will have health care.
Everyone will have a roof over their heads.
Everyone will have a voice in our government.
Everyone will pay equal taxes. The Republican Party will be a quaint memory to tell our children about.
The best part is someday you will die of anorexia or choke to death on your own purging. That’s my dream.
Thank you,
Joe Roppe

For those who know me, the trouble isn’t getting me to start eating hamburgers. The trouble is getting me to stop.
So, here’s the truly funny part. Joe Roppe of Stevens Point, WI is also the author of a letter published in the Stevens Point, WI Journal on December 31, 2007 decrying “cyberbullying” and lecturing about the need for “fostering an adult discussion” without personal attacks:
Cyberbullying is a tactic some people use to anonymously attack those they disagree with using the Internet through email or on message boards. It can include threats on a person’s life, sexual remarks, pejorative labels such as hate speech all of which are intended to harm others.
Since the Internet gives people a semblance of anonymity, they can act more aggressively than they would face-to-face. You should not reply to threatening emails or negative postings on a website. Even if you do, this is not justification for an unstable person to fly into a rage and step over the line.
Some of the posts on the Stevens Point Journal message board are patently offensive and come dangerously close to crossing the fine line between expressing their freedom of speech and committing libel. I can assure you that the posts following the publication of this letter will be designed to attack me personally instead of fostering an adult discussion of the very real issue of cyberbullying. Once you read the posts, the very nature of the nasty remarks will illustrate my point.
According to the National Cyber Alert System, you can protect yourself from cyberbullies. Be careful where you post personal information; avoid escalating a situation, document offensive remarks, and report harassing or threatening posts to the proper authorities. The Stevens Point Police Department and the FBI are good places to start.
A recent article in the SPJ demonstrates how cyberbullying can be taken to the extreme. Allegedly, a local resident is reported to have stepped over the line when a webpage on MySpace was used to request someone to shoot Mayor Andrew Halverson, and the home address of Portage County Social Worker, Danita Docka was posted including requests to kill or injure her and her child. This behavior exemplifies the need to stop cyberbullying. We can do this with laws we already have on the books.

Yeah, see, the proper way to engage in hate speech and wish for their deaths is to sign your name like Joe Roppe did.
Sweet dreams, Joe Roppe.

I just went over and looked at the comments at the Journal, and found this:
*snort*
Doing the Roppe – a – dope dance, I see. Wonder if he got permission from Muhammad Ali.
pun intended. it would be wasted, otherwise.
Oh, Michelle, do you really get that much hate mail? You’re such a sweety. You don’t pull any punches and that’s what I (and we) love about you. You hold everybody’s feet to the fire as should be. Too bad most liberals are lost in la la land or are too blind to admit that perhaps they don’t know what the word respect means.
I’m pretty used to it myself these days. I married into an overly liberal family. My husband’s siblings (except one, though he thinks they’re all full of goodness) are pretty liberal. There’s
the typical acid barbs about Pres. Bush that I just love. My sister told my
parents that she hates the USA and wants to move to Canada (she’s our token liberal and lives in Philly, crime capital of the USA).
Being the spouse of a military member, I’ve gotten the typical “war profiteer” comments. I feel like my husband and I have given up a lot just so these people can be so hateful. If they hate it here so much, just go. They’re already in love with the utopias of Canada and Europe, so go kiss their butts already.
Whooppeee, health care for everybody (pleasantly mandated). I’m living the dream with Tricare…where it’s easier (especially in certain Naval conclaves) to just go to a civilian pharmacy and pay a copay than have to wait 6-12 months for your medication at a military pharmacy. Fair taxes for everyone? Uh, yeah, let’s tax the rich so much that they get the hint and just leave the US. I wouldn’t blame them. Though, I sure wish “some” of them weren’t so busy buying the influence and favors of both parties.
A roof for everyone? How enchanting! Will this guy be the first to build Jimmah Cartah housing for the poor and displaced from the sub-prime mess? Oh, no more wars for oil…aren’t they getting tired with this phrase already. It’s like a toddler repeating their favorite word. Everyone will have a voice in government? I surely doubt it. The Dems will do their best to pretend that conservative Americans don’t exist (oops, they do they now).
Dopey liberal, speaking of respect and understanding but preaching hate instead. Typical.
Let me make sure I understand this point of view correctly. Allow me to repeat what I’m getting here, hopefully to the author’s satisfaction, paraphrase, as it were, to prove attentiveness. It’s an active listening skill.
Everyone this and everyone that
Everyone here and everyone there
Everyone everyone everyone, I say.
Do you hear me? Everyone!
!!!111!!!11!!!!1111eleventy everyone!!!111!!!1111!!
And my dream is for everyone to melt into oneness
And everyone wear the same clothes
And everyone receive the same state education
And everyone, everyone, everyone eat the same healthy diet and not too much of it.
And my dream goes on to show that everyone who doesn’t agree with this dreamful plan can rot in stinky pile of poo with flies buzzing around, so there.
I’m splendid, and so is the rest of the rational world, but you’re not.
Thank you
I mean all this in the best possible way
bless your heart
Oh, I forgot about about the everything-is-going-to-be-like-Star-Trek part.
I’m from Wisconsin, defected to Colorado. What an a**.
Yeah, I can’t wait for everything to be “fair and equal” so the really hard workers can carry the weight of the deadbeats. By the way, Wisconsin used to be the best place to live if you wanted to be on welfare. People moved from Illinois to get in on the action. Not sure how it is after the Reagan reforms, but my guess is this guy wants his old life back.
The Amish. Another extreme religious group trying to impose it’s will on the world. Those bastards!
Shelley, you just gotta love those “progressive liberal adults”; they really show us how to have responsible dialogue about important issues.
And speaking of which, you haven’t had a burger until you’ve had my Chicago 1/2 pound Feta burger. Grilled sweet onions, dill pickle, feta (oooh), spicy bbq sauce…dang.
Michelle eats hamburgers?
IT’S LIKE YOU’RE A HUMAN BEING! STOP IT!
/leftard.
Although Michelle, I must admit your hate mailer IS an expert on the subject, LOL.
The very best hate mail is that which provides some good ol’ entertainment, not only for Michelle, but all of us. This piece of stupidity did that, so he at least gets a brownie point or two for that.
After all, laughter is the best medicine.
