After the death of Rachel Corrie, The NY Times gave reporter Deborah Sontag the last page of the NY Times Magazine to write a love poem to Rachel Corrie. And incredibly, this was the same reporter who was supposedly a nonbiased reporter covering the Israeli-Arab dispute. Sontag turned Corrie from a terribly troubled and confused young woman into the very symbol of American youth. And to Sontag and the Times, this was objective reporting because youngsters like Corrie are the only young people they ever see.
I wrote to the Times and asked why the article never mentioned Corrie burning a paper American flag only days earlier. I got an answer from some flak at the Times saying that the flag burning was irrelevant. That is how outside the mainstream reporters at the NY Times are. Burning the flag in Gaza is to the Times, just an innocent form of protest against the Bush administration.

Zorro, if anyone thought I was actually swearing at michelle specificly, and not using “wtf” as general, non-targeted phrase, they are welcome to think that.

I really don’t give a damn. I’m less than surprised than my failure to absolutely tow the line has caused me to meet something not unlike those who leave the democrat plantation get.

Guess I just can’t get get shocked by something they’ve been doing for decades.

And if Jaded wants to be that literal, I”ve got a few choice phrases there.

Almost twenty years ago, these same Hezbollah bastards kidnapped and murdered a friend of my family, Colonel Rich Higgins, USMC, then displayed his body for every television in the world to see. Ever since, they have been either dancing in the streets when my City and my Country were attacked, or burning my Flag, praying for my destruction. I just read an astonishing statistic in Mark Steyn’s America Alone. The median age of residents of the Gaza strip is an astonishing 15.8 years!

Basically a bunch of maladjusted kids, educated from birth in hate-America and blame-the-Jews ideology. Is it any wonder they can’t get along?

Let’s send them a few billion dollars more.

The cynical side of me wonders if this lunacy isn’t actually a calculated move to fuel the Hamas/Fatah civil war in order to cull their numbers, since we all know that most of the money will go for weapons.

A College Republican group burned the Hezbollah flag and was charged with a hate crime because their flag contains the world “allah”. Hamas flag burning I’m sure will be just as welcomed.

Has anyone ever seen a happy Muslim? Even if they had all the land Israel has they would still be upset and outraged over something. They would be upset that the Philippines, Thailand are not Islamic republics. I have never seen such people all the time being outraged, upset and most miserable all the time. Even if the world was all islamic they would still be upset and burning their kids up I imagine.

I have actually thought about doing this kind of thing in front of a local mosque. I wonder if it would make the evening news and maybe be shown world wide but then of course I would be called a bigot, racist etc… like I really care what these idiot’s think of me.

Al Gore couldn’t respond to this news story and warn them on global warming, because, when the story came out, he was driving his SUV from paying his electric bill, to the airport to catch his private plane on another lecture tour. Just didn’t have the time.

Just to put things into historical context: the flag they are burning is a model of "The 1818 20 Star Flag." It just goes to show that some folks are a couple of hundred years behind the times.
