Fidel Castro: Real or wax?
The Dem debate is on commercial break. So, take a look at the latest Fidel Castro official photos and tell me: Real or wax?
AP reports: “Fidel Castro looked frail but alert and even playful in a series of official photographs taken during a meeting with Brazil’s president on Tuesday, the first images of the ailing Cuban leader released in months. Wearing a tracksuit and tennis shoes that have become his trademark since he fell ill, Castro is seen seated and grinning, his beard well- trimmed and his hair combed as he talks with President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva. In some images, Castro is seen playing with a camera.”

My question is: paper or plastic?
That’s wax!!!!!!
Nice chair.
They must be getting close to their last decent double for Fidel..
They’re all old as dirt by now…
Add a 3 hour tape to the wax job. Repeat for the next 60 years.
The AP reporter better take a course in “Well Trimmed Beards”.
Zombie Castro!!!!
Still images? How about showing us a video!
Coming soon to a theatre near you…
It’s Weekend at Fidel’s II
Only Madame Tussaud knows for sure.
“He’s the best. Other dicators couldn’t hold a candle to Fidel…”
What did he do? Chase the dot from a laser pointer across the floor? Roll on his back and lick his nether regions?
Wax or Real?
Only his taxidermist knows for sure
Okay Texas Tiger that’s the SECONDtime you owe me a clean monitor!!! The weekend at Fidel’s sounds like a good idea for a spoof as well; you ought to send that one to MADD TV. They keep that dummy around much longer won’t be long before Castro’s nose is as shiny as the bust of Lincoln at his tombsite in Illinois.
That’s actually the real Castro. He’s freeze-dried!
Now, list the stupid embargo.
lift…embargo
It looks like him, but we all know that Cuba is the robotic powerhouse of the Caribbean. So, therefore, I conclude that the Castro in the picture is a human-like cybertronic robot. Anyone want to buy a bridge?
“It looks like him, but we all know that Cuba is the robotic powerhouse of the Caribbean.”
What, is Disney opening yet another theme park?
Seriously:
His posture, expression, the very fact that he could be caught in a photo like this, unlike the strict control over his image he had in the past, strongly suggests that he’s no longer in charge, and is being kept alive as a figurehead front for whomever is in charge.
The big question then, who exactly is running Cuba? We better find out, and fast in the event that whomever it is might be worse than Castro himself, because I’m betting big odds that it isn’t the frail old man in the chair. That’s not a portrait of Castro in charge.
He’s wax. Can I have his cigars?
Mmmmmmmm….Cohiba…
Damn! You beat me to it!
It’d be a double bonus. Tyrant dies and we get to smoke his cigars again. Liberals are upset by losing one of their rock stars and by the cigar smoke. Adding greenhouse gases might even make it a triple bonus!
This is beginning to look like the treatment SNL gave Franco.
Personally, I’d rather just have him “disappear”, because when he dies, we’ll all have to listen to every “progressive” (i.e., regressive) in office lament his passing. All the while the MSM will tell us how many U.S. Presidents he’s outlived. Who freakin’ cares? He’s a socialist dictator!
And as Mr_Conservative_Cat points out, he’s not in charge. Maybe it will be like that fine socialist workers paradise in North Korea. You know, that type of socialism that hates monarchies so much they would never allow an heir to take over? Oops. My bad.
Would someone please tell me the difference between a brutal, dictatorial monarchy and brutal, dictatorial socialism?
Liberal hypocrites.
I think it’s real, but he is definately circling the drain. He has paper-skin, hasn’t seen the sun, and the smoke and nicotine along with the drugs and reanimator juice they are pumping into him are not helping in the least.
Give him less than 6 months. He will die, the people will revolt, Democracy will rule again and another communist country will again be sent to the dust-bin of histor. one less resort for Sheehan to play in. She is running out of friends.
Actually, it’s really Little Ricky from the old I Love Lucy TV series.
That would be Potentate’s of the Caribbean!
Swung by my local Yankee Candle store and couldn’t find any sulphur- or old-man-on-his-deathbed-scented candles. Therefore, I don’t believe the technology exists to make a realistic wax Castro.
I vote “real.”
TXtiger-
You won’t find them @ your local Yankee Candle store-you have to go to Spencers and find it in their backsection with their satan goblets next to the “R” rated intimate aides.
There’s a good reason why they post a warning on the entrance to their stores, and its not just because of the “rainbow” approved clothes and bumper stickers.

Real or wax?
Gollum looked more real in “Lord of the Rings”!
Whatever. We do know the man’s brain is not made of anything so neuralgically active as wax.
It’s irrelevent whether he’s in power, his brother or some other guy. Cuba has ceased to be of any importance to anyone ever since the USSR self-destructed.
No wonder why CFLs are being crammed down our throats; unlike incadescent lights, they won’t melt Fidel.
Well, sorta. Cuba is never unimportant, really, because it remains an ally to one side or the other in the future. Putin can’t be trusted worth a damn, so we don’t know what tomorrow brings. With all due respect, we need to watch Cuba very carefully always until such time that we manage to help them become a democracy we can trust and a trusted ally. There is no comfortable neutrality when it comes to communist dictatorships.
Errah; he’s been treated with stem cells from a door stop, errah
