Huckabee toys with a tinfoil hat…

Update: Vid and more from Allah.

Ick.

Mike Huckabee went on Morning Joe today and toyed with suggesting a “conspiracy” composed of the “Washington power circles” was out to get him.

Huckabee: There’s a bunch of Washington special interest groups that are coming into town today [the Club for Growth and Freedom Works are holding a joint presser on the Huckabee record] to attack me. It’s amazing. I’m the only guy who’s just getting hammered from some of these special interest groups, and I think that’ll really turn for me and against some of these folks. Because it’s pretty obvious that, there’s gotta be, almost this, I don’t want to use the word conspiracy, but there’s just an anxiety that exists in the Washington power circles about our candidacy.

I don’t want to use the word “idiot,” but…

    A big part of the Huckster’s campaign has been the persecution angle. Everyone hates me, I don’t have money, blah, blah blah.

    He used that very effectively in Iowa, where he convinced other evangelicals they were also part of the persecuted and downtrodden masses.

    He likes the view from his self imposed cross, and thinks his presence in that position will become a beacon for votes.

    Unfortunately, no wants a President who whines and blames other people for his shortcomings. His tactics demonstrate a dangerous weakness for any position of significant leadership. He is not capable of “sucking it up”, but he has demonstrated an uncanny ability to “huck it up”.

    Good post.

    Reminds me of the “double ethnic” joke I’d heard years ago:

    Ethnic teams 1 and 2 are playing a football game against each other.

    A nearby factory whistle goes off. Ethnic team 1 hears it, thinks that it was the whistle signalling the end of the game, and leaves the field with time remaining in the game;

    and ethnic team 2 scores three plays later….

    So much for defeating “uncommitted”.

    Ah, the REAL huckster is finally shining through to people. Remember, here in Arkansas he has called the Republican legislators “shiites” due to their not bowing to his open-border rhetoric; he called our State (while governor) a “banana republic”, AND told us that he “drinks a different Jesus juice” because, again, we were not buying his open-border junk. The Huck is very, very, thin skinned (even before he lost his lard) – he absolutely caves under any kind of pressure. He’s the playground bully, but when confronted with someone bigger than him, he will take his ball and go home. Please, people, LOOK AT HIS RECORD – if there is anyone, ANYONE who is thinking of voting for him. LOOK AT HIS RECORD in Arkansas first. You don’t have to look any further than Dumond and the Mexican Consulate in Little Rock to see what a LOSER he is.     A nearby factory whistle goes off. Ethnic team 1 hears it, thinks that it was the whistle signalling the end of the game, and leaves the field with time remaining in the game;

    and ethnic team 2 scores three plays later….

    That joke has been told around here involving a semipro team and the Chicago Bears for years.
