Huckabee toys with a tinfoil hat…
Update: Vid and more from Allah.
***
Ick.
Mike Huckabee went on Morning Joe today and toyed with suggesting a “conspiracy” composed of the “Washington power circles” was out to get him.
…
Huckabee: There’s a bunch of Washington special interest groups that are coming into town today [the Club for Growth and Freedom Works are holding a joint presser on the Huckabee record] to attack me. It’s amazing. I’m the only guy who’s just getting hammered from some of these special interest groups, and I think that’ll really turn for me and against some of these folks. Because it’s pretty obvious that, there’s gotta be, almost this, I don’t want to use the word conspiracy, but there’s just an anxiety that exists in the Washington power circles about our candidacy.
I don’t want to use the word “idiot,” but…
See what others have said

He just can’t handle the fact that REAL conservatives aren’t buying what he’s selling…
Is this the same “vast right-wing conspiracy” that is out to get the Clintons?
Would that be the VAST RIGHT-WING CONSPIRACY Huck?
Could it possibly be that many conservatives recognize the Huck for what he is, a populist panderer?
I admit it I’m part of the vast right wing conspiracy. I have a tshirt that says so lol.
won’t call him an idiot, eh? ok
how about a mediot then.. ;-?
give a man enough rope, he’s liable to make his own noose without realizing it.
Huck and McCan’t need to go away….Please !!!!
Just because we can see through your B.S. Huckster, doesn’t make it a conspiracy.
(emphasis added) – I hope this is the royal “our” – I’d hate to think there was someone else involved.
“I don’t want to use the word God to try to win this campaign, but….. I’m gonna do it over and over and over and over and over again.”
It’s called people examining your record in a state nobody paid any attention to and finding out they don’t like it. There’s a big difference between flying under the radar and being in the spotlight.
Hey dude…welcome to the big time. DLTDHYITAOTWYO
How bout we just “call a spade a spade”?
As has been said in earlier posts, this is his ‘vast right wing conspiracy’ woe is me the victim moment.
They are all getting hammered. He’s not the only one. But he should get hammered because of his record.
“Don’t Huck me Bro!”
Could we be looking at late-onset paranoid schizophrenia here, Huck?
“Oh, no! They’re out to get me!”
Geez! It’s called politics, Governor. They don’t agree with you. That doesn’t mean they are out to get you.
His interview is about as irrational as the Clinton’s Vast Right Wing Conspiracy that others mentioned.

He’s become the Jehovah’s Witness on Americas door step.
if the tinfoil fits, wear it.
As Hillary would say, “if the Shu fits….”
Mao you’re talking!
Imagine what he would do given the constant and unbelievable trashing and attacks Bush has endured for the last 7 years.
Isn’t it ironic that in todays day and age, if you had made that comment about Obama you would have been labeled a racist and a bigot?
Whatever, Michelle–we all know your globalist puppetmasters at the CFR told you to hit Huckabee…
Oh, go ahead. Do it!
Why so surprised? The media pundits et al have been throwing dirt on Paul for months.
Just peruse all the main stream lame stream outlets and you’ll see the spin is all the same.
Call it conspiracy or whatever. By any other name it’s called if you don’t think for yourself the media/pundits are more than happy to tell you what to think, feel and buy…and that includes the same tired formula.
Well that does it. What we’re witnessing here is the beginning of the end for Mike Huckabee. Finally!
go ahead use the word iD10T..if this guy doesn’t sound more and more like a clinton clone i don’t know who does! he is really a liberal in every sense of the word. he has one issue that is conservative, pro-life. he is really a pro-life democrat. if it walks like a duck and sounds like a duck, it is a duck….
Bullseye!
If it walks like and talks like a duck it must be a HUCK.
I misunderstood the headline. I actually thought there were Huckabee action figures available — with tinfoil hats.
Well, if Huckleberry didn’t have such an awful record, they wouldn’t be ‘attacking’ in the first place, would they?
What really bothers me right now is the MSM keeps saying — no clear frontrunner in the GOP race. Three states with three outcomes.
Well…Dems aren’t doing any better either. There is no CLEAR frontrunner. Obama wins Iowa, and Hillbilly wins NH, and she “wins” MI.
So, what exactly is the difference? I don’t see “clear” breakaway frontrunner in either party right now.
He is getting hammered by talk radio hosts, conservatives in Washington, etc. because he is a LIBERAL. He governed a very conservative state as a liberal.
When people point out his record, he thinks it is a conspiracy, just as liberals always do.
Let’s hope this guy doesn’t get the nomination.
Once again, the “I’m not going to say it [because it would be sooooo far beneath me], but if I WERE to say it, this is what it would be…” ploy. People aren’t biting this time. Welcome to the big leagues and the withering glare of the bright lights…
Jimmy Carter in Republican drag!!!!!
That’s right Huck. They are all out to get you. Welcome to the big leagues son! If you can’t stand the heat get out of the kitchen.
[insert your cliche here]
“You can’t handle the truth” in that Jack Nicholson voice.
It’s like Bill Kristol said on the Fox News panel last night, Hillary’s wind in Michigan isn’t exactly a mandate, with a “win” over “Uncommitted”.
“I’m not trying to release this negative campaign attack add against Romney, but lets all watch it right now, shall we.”
Put it in terms he can understand. “If you can’t run with the big dogs, stay under the porch.“
I figured out the Huckster was a snake oil salesman a couple of months ago when I started digging into his record as Governor of Arkansas. I did not like what I found and what others dug up on this Jimmy Carter clone. He is finally starting to get the heat he deserves for his record on raising taxes, pandering to illegal invaders, those that employ them, and his get out of jail free cards going out to convicted murderers.
Does anyone else here think Huck should switch to the religious left?
Apologies if this has been posted here before and I missed it:
MIT tin-foil hat study.
The conclusion?
*snort*
A big part of the Huckster’s campaign has been the persecution angle. Everyone hates me, I don’t have money, blah, blah blah.
He used that very effectively in Iowa, where he convinced other evangelicals they were also part of the persecuted and downtrodden masses.
He likes the view from his self imposed cross, and thinks his presence in that position will become a beacon for votes.
Unfortunately, no wants a President who whines and blames other people for his shortcomings. His tactics demonstrate a dangerous weakness for any position of significant leadership. He is not capable of “sucking it up”, but he has demonstrated an uncanny ability to “huck it up”.

Good post.
Reminds me of the “double ethnic” joke I’d heard years ago:
Ethnic teams 1 and 2 are playing a football game against each other.
A nearby factory whistle goes off. Ethnic team 1 hears it, thinks that it was the whistle signalling the end of the game, and leaves the field with time remaining in the game;
and ethnic team 2 scores three plays later….
So much for defeating “uncommitted”.
Well, Bill Clinton did get elected for a second term, Jim.

You beat me to it!
As a charter member of the VRWC, I gotta say that Hucka-Hucka-Burnin’-Love has us dead to rites…
Ah, the REAL huckster is finally shining through to people. Remember, here in Arkansas he has called the Republican legislators “shiites” due to their not bowing to his open-border rhetoric; he called our State (while governor) a “banana republic”, AND told us that he “drinks a different Jesus juice” because, again, we were not buying his open-border junk. The Huck is very, very, thin skinned (even before he lost his lard) – he absolutely caves under any kind of pressure. He’s the playground bully, but when confronted with someone bigger than him, he will take his ball and go home. Please, people, LOOK AT HIS RECORD – if there is anyone, ANYONE who is thinking of voting for him. LOOK AT HIS RECORD in Arkansas first. You don’t have to look any further than Dumond and the Mexican Consulate in Little Rock to see what a LOSER he is. He is a pompous a**, that absolutely, positively, refuses to admit it when he’s wrong – doesn’t matter who gets hurt in the process.
The thing I cannot understand is who the people are that are falling for this guy. Outside of his prior pastoral stint, what on earth does he have that appeals to any conservative?
He is so proud that he can win in a state where everyone votes democratic. That is because the voters cannot tell his positions from his rival democrats. he is liberal through and through. He thinks like a liberal, he acts like a liberal and he legislates like a liberal. I guess that means he is a conservative?
With all respect, Michelle, this is one time I don’t believe you. I think you were ready, willing and waiting to use the word “idiot” in refering to Mike.
It was a stupid thing for him to say, though. That, I agree with completely.
Excellent. The misdirection is working just as we planned. Mike is completely unaware of our plans to sap and impurify all of his precious bodily fluids.
Bwa-hah-hah-ha!
And, I just knew it was going to be a lobotomy you had in mind, Tiger.
If you’re not using it, can I?
I’ve been thinking this guy is part of the Clinton machine. He said he knows how to beat it. He knows he to play like it. That’s for sure.
Whadda ya think I am? A microsurgeon?
Club for Growth is part of the conspiracy? How come they didnt tell me, a backer?
I’m not in the circle of trust for the chief conspirators. I may as well turn in my club card.
And this after they taught me the secret handshake!
/sigh
Hey Huck – Ron Paul is —-> over there. WAY over there, keep going…
In the immortal words of Gunny Highway:
Don’t go away mad, just go away.
Boy- there’s ample fodder for more than a few Lewinsky jokes here, but I will preserve the decorum of this site…
Nice. Loved the movie.
Huck is definitely out of my pool now. This is getting a little easier by the day. I knew the more some of these guys talked, the less I’d like them.
JimM This is OT, but when you mentioned Lewinsky, I had to mention a bumper sticker I saw via email:
Monica Lewinsky’s X-Boyfriend’s wife for President
The anxiety the Huckster feels is coming from the average citizen that is scared out of their minds at the thought of a slimey, slick and clueless Clinton/Carter clone getting into office to give us 4 years of hell while destroying what is left of the Republican Party. Here is a loud ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh from one of those filled with anxiety.
Yes, Mike, just because you’re paranoid doesn;t mean they’re not after you.
I agree that there really is something going on against him, he’s just seeing it from his own subjective view. He needs to make sure his extrapolation is as sensitive and accurate as his instincts abotu completition.
OK, that’s the left shoe. Let’s see the right shoe — what did these conspiratorial power circles have to say?
I
hearthate HuckabeeI think we are breaking the rules by conspiring in public.
Mr_Conservative_Cat:
Clear?
heh.
Folks, “The Machine” is squarely against Huckabee. The rage against him is so strong… so unjustifiable…
The problem Republicans have with Huckabee is that he’s not a slave to the corrupt insiders who so valiantly fight to keep their stranglehold on our nation’s capitol.
We desperately need an outsider who is not a “playa” in da game. We need a truth-telling serious person who is willing to be guided by principle, not mind-numbed neocons who are nothing else but Democrats with a different name.
PS: Huckabee would be good, but Ron Paul would be GREAT.
Wow. Sounds like Dr. Lead Based Paint has been consuming his own product.
Further proof that the huckster is cut from the same cloth as Clinton INC. Being that both political machines have origins in Arkansas, I wonder what is in the water down there.
Umm LBP, you choose your label: troll or idiot.
The reason there is such a visceral reaction to Huckabee is that he is a liar, and is wrong on so many issues.
Thats the truth.
Deal with it.
In my case, re-reading my post, the first law should be “the First law of the Huckbee Conspiracy is not to comment on it with so many typos that your comment is unintelligible”
Or
tHe Frist Luw off he Huckleberry Corn Spirassy si ot nught commend aw in id.
That joke has been told around here involving a semipro team and the Chicago Bears for years.
