Shamnesty birds of a feather…

…flock together. In case you needed to be reminded of the arrogant, debate-suppressing, open-borders pandering, grass-roots-trashing shenanigans of the Shamnesty Brothers, here are John McCain and his best friend from South Carolina on the campaign trail today. Sear it into your memories:

Why isn’t Fred going after McCain more? One well done AD on the ‘effects’ of McCain/Kennedy and people would see McCain for the open borders freak that he is. This pandering response of “I’ve heard the American people, I’ll secure the borders” is B&LLSH$T.

I think he’s looking at this with “pragmatic” eyes and doing this sort of calculus:

    1. Hispanics are a rapidly growing voting block.

    B. They are socially conservative (i.e. por-life, religious), but easily swayed by the free government cheese offered by the Dems. (As are weak, dependent European-Americans.)

    3. If the Stupid Party looks like they’re being mean to Hispanics, they’ll rush to the embrace of the Dems.

    4. Ergo, pandering to the Hispanic voting block is realpolitik, pure and simple. Nothing personal; just business.

That’s the problem these days: Principles are not very marketable. Pandering is.

I’m sorry you feel that way. It seems there are a lot of people who think Fred should be hitting McCain harder.

For as long as I can remember, people have complained about how dirty politics is and how they wished the mudslinging would stop.

Now along comes a man who is running a clean campaign; who disagrees with his opponents without being disagreeable; and who has stated on several occasions he thinks his friend is wrong on certain issues–and he’s being given down the road about it.

Fred and John are friends. It is not necessary for Fred to talk about John in such a way as to create enmity between them. I have friends I disagree with. I prefer to tell them they are wrong in a respectful manner. I don’t villify them for it. It is one thing to say a person is wrong; it is another thing tell them they are full of s***.

Listen, the Dems want hordes of invaders because they know they can be bought by offering the wealth of others in exchange for their votes. The Stupid Party wants the invaders in order to provide cheap near-slave labor for their corporate chainholders.

The Dems sing us sad songs of “social justice” and make us feel bad for being mean to these po’ folks. But what does the Stupid Party tell us to get us on board? They tell us our produce would be more expensive and our lawns wouldn’t be mowed if fair wages were paid. We must destroy our nation’s sovereignty and standard of living and cultural underpinnings in order to MAKE A BUCK!!!

There’s a word for this sort of thinking: IMMORAL!!! It is immoral to exploit people in this way. How these jokers can claim to support the free market when they self-deal themselves an army of cheap labor that’s disposable and never-ending in supply is pathetic. They’ve put a thumb on the scale and your salad is tainted with the blood of the exploited. If prices have to go up because we’re suddenly paying a legitimate wage, then so be it! It’s basic first-day ECON101 stuff involving supply and demand and competition.

Here’s the greatest unintended consequence of these shamnesty pimps and sovereignty selllouts: After you’ve given the invaders their freshly-minted citizenships in order to get their votes, haven’t you just qualified them for minimum wages and all the other expensive mandates you were dodging by employing illegals in the first place? Whatcha gonna do now, Bub? Bring in a new wave of cheap labor/invaders?

Folks… I also listened to Fred Thompson on Hannity yesterday. Sean asked why he hasn’t gone after McCain. Fred said HE HAS. He has highlighted their differences and pointed out McCain’s push for amnesty and being against the Bush Tax Cuts and other things. What do we want him to do? Jump up and down on John McCain’s neck? Fred said John McCain’s been in the public for 25 years and he feels people are well aware of his record. But he has pointed out McCain’s weaknesses. Fred said he is focusing on Huck and some of the other so much because their records are NOT as long and they are flip-flopping panderers. Fred said he respects John for his service to our country and for being a POW. That’s it.

Why not? The fact that he isn’t is just more ice in the belly.

    VERY well said. Triple dittos.

Both parties have to answer to THIS.
Simply despicable. Someday (one can hope) the servitude of illegal aliens will be an embarrassing part of our history, not an on-going stain on our national conscience. Is the current situation that far removed from apartheid South Africa??

How about a little morally-correct LAW ENFORCEMENT?

Some of the folks above are forgetting that McCain always teams up with a Democrat. His VP would most likely be Kennedy, Kerry, Specter or that New York guy…Clinton.

Yeah, I know Specter has an ‘R’ there, but he seems to be left of most RINOs.

I agree with #46. For Fred to tear his good friend to shreds in order to win power would be the act of a craven politician, not an honorable man.

I’m sorry, but an honorable man does not let friendship or anything else prevent him from speaking the truth. You don’t have to tear someone to shreds to point out how you differ. I’m not asking for mud-slinging or personal attacks from Fred. I just want to know where his ideas for the country differ from McCain’s. Is that too much to ask?

If Fred has no differences with his friend, he should get out of the race and throw his support to McCain. Otherwise, I’m going to assume he supports all of McCain’s crazy ideas like he supported McCain-Feingold. Either that or he puts his friendship with McCain above the best interests of the country. If either of these two reasons are true, I’m not going to support Fred.

If the state of South Cack-a-lacky gives a victory to either McCain or Huckaby, shame on them. Each is nothing more than a gold plated RINO.
