I agree with #46. For Fred to tear his good friend to shreds in order to win power would be the act of a craven politician, not an honorable man.

I’m sorry, but an honorable man does not let friendship or anything else prevent him from speaking the truth. You don’t have to tear someone to shreds to point out how you differ. I’m not asking for mud-slinging or personal attacks from Fred. I just want to know where his ideas for the country differ from McCain’s. Is that too much to ask?

If Fred has no differences with his friend, he should get out of the race and throw his support to McCain. Otherwise, I’m going to assume he supports all of McCain’s crazy ideas like he supported McCain-Feingold. Either that or he puts his friendship with McCain above the best interests of the country. If either of these two reasons are true, I’m not going to support Fred.
