An anti-jihad comic book
Darius LaMonica writes:
I wanted to let you know about the release of “Matamoros,” a comic book which was illustrated by John Cox of Cox & Forkum. I’m one of the co-writers of the book.
Its plot follows an American NCO who is wounded in the war, returns home to recuperate and then discovers a jihadist cell in NYC. You can read about the book and view a few sample pages at http://www.MatamorosComic.com…
…We’ve taken a serious and realistic approach to the book’s plot (e.g., we patterned the jihadist cell after a group called the “Islamic Thinkers Society” which is located in NYC and is an offshoot of the UK’s al-Muhajiroun).
Pop culture has essentially ignored the troops fighting the War on You-Know-Who and we’re trying to change that with our book.
Check it out here.

Leave Islamic Rage Boy alone!!
Ok, but not before I taze him. Zap, zap, zap.
It may take simple pictures and monosyllabic words to ’splain the
WOTWar on IslamoWahabiFundamentalistMiltantIslam to multiculturist liberals. The 2 x 4 hitting the donkey just isn’t working.
(If necessary, I will explain the old joke reference in a later post.)
Won’t take long for CAIR and others to raise a stink and file lawsuits. In England, they’d be jailed for a “hate crime”.
Well, then, we need to go ahead and get to work on their defense fund, so they are ready for the “Hate America First” backlash that is probably coming down the pike.
This look’s like a pretty decent comic. I think I’ll have to order one or two.
Does Canada’s Human Rights watch know about this yet???
2×4 Ahh, how old school.
Nowdays it’s cluestick, clue-by-four, and clue bomb.
The ones with BDS are in denial, even a clue bomb won’t help.
I have fantasized about sending the CIA analytical section into Iraq and Afghanistan, embedded with our military. Linguistic and cultural immersion.
I don’t believe that the jihadis are the bad guys.
I bet the bad guy is really a neo-con that has framed jihadis in order to advance his own agenda.
Matamoros=Moor (Muslim) Killer.
Hey corkie, what color is the sky in your world?
What the hey, I bought one to support the guys- if nothing else my PFC son will probably like it. After I read it first of course…
Sincerely wishing LaMonica luck! It’s practically impossible to get someone like Michelle to notice, much less promote your stuff…WRITE ON!
The plot sounds interesting; hope I see it in the stores soon.

Thanks for confirming the meaning. My daughter has a friend whose last name is “Matamoros”. I thought they were just kidding about that. By the way, they’re not white for those of you going into a PC tizzy.
Haven’t checked the site or the artwork, but the idea for battling the MSM for the hearts and minds of Americans in this kind of pop culture way is terrific. Comic books (called ‘graphic novels” by the serious afficianados these days), animation of every sort, anything along these lines is very good ammo: these venues now particularly have tremendous appeal and are potentially great for winning people back to the right. When ideas get squashed by superficial left-wing eye candy, don’t bitch about superficial left-wing eye candy, just add some substantial right-wing eye candy of your own to your aquashed idea and watch it come back to life and return the favor to the liberal agenda. In fact, this is an exceptionally good move, obvious though it may seem on the surface.
my girl and I are ordering it now.
I checked out the comic, and can hope they start going to the various Sci-fi cons.
AdventureCon in Knoxville is pretty big every year, and they always have comic book artists showing their work. (Please no trekkie jokes)

You must be joking.
I’m betting corkie is the one in front holding the big sign.
