Hillary: She was for Reagan before she was against him…and so was John Edwards
Barack Obama is getting slammed by both Clintons for positive comments he made about Ronald Reagan and the GOP. Hill chastised Obama for saying “that he thought the Republicans had better ideas than Democrats the last 10 to 15 years.” Mr. Purple Fits said his “legs fell out” when he heard about Obama’s remarks.
Wait until Billy Boy reads Hill’s own campaign website. On Dec. 12, 2007, the campaign touted an editorial endorsement from a New Hampshire newspaper chain, which mentioned that Hill had cited Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush among her “favorite presidents:”
It’s the media’s fault!
Oh, and while the Clintons continue fuming about Obama saying something nice about the GOP as the party of ideas, perhaps a reminder of Hillary’s cheerful collaborations with the GOP’s famous generator of ideas would be helpful:
Damned Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy.

John Edwards also piled on Obama for praising Reagan. But guess what? He was for him before he was against him, too. (Hat tip - reader Tony) From last fall’s issue of Foreign Affairs:
We need a new path, one that will lead to reengagement with the world and restoration of the United States’ moral authority in the community of nations. President Harry Truman once said, “No one nation alone can bring peace. Together, nations can build a strong defense against aggression and combine the energy of free men everywhere in building a better future for all.” For 50 years, presidents from Truman and Dwight Eisenhower to Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton built strong alliances and deepened the world’s respect for us. We gained that respect by viewing our military strength not as an end in itself but as a means to protect a system of laws and institutions that gave hope to billions across the globe. In avoiding the temptation to rule as an empire, we hastened the fall of a corrupt and evil one in the Soviet Union. The lesson is that we cannot only be warriors; we must be thinkers and leaders as well.

It seems to me that all the campaigns are runaway train wrecks this year. Did they forget what year this is? Its 2008 not 1808 every word uttered is recorded and available to the opposition and thanks to the Internet, us the voters. Gone are the days of “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.”
Obama is brilliant. Not only is he attempting to woo conservatives, but he’s showing how petty the Clinton’s are.
Bill and Hillary are neither Left nor Right. They are not liberal or conservative. They are not protectionist or free-trade. They are not populist or elitist.
They are Clintonists. Whatever it takes. They will use and abuse people and ideas with abandon to meet their objectives of being in power. The good and evil that comes from them are just accidental results of their blind quests to rule, to be important, to be in the spotlight.
From their throne they will dole out pardons and decrees, favors and death warrants. They see themselves as royalty trapped in a pablum-consuming world of peons. So they have honed their skills at attaining that power.
If it makes sense to praise Reagan, they’ll do it. If it makes sense to bash someone else who praises Reagan, they’ll do it.
I agree with et (#1). Their techniques, while still effective (see NH tears and planted Ironing signs) are looking a bit dated in an information rich world. Hillary’s biggest risk is that the MSM catches on and it all backfires on her.
People used to say that a black man would never survive as president. I think those days where that was a common thought have passed.
But if Obama won…and Hillary was his veep…(shudder)…the Oval Office would have a Death Row vibe, I would think.
If you watched the clip she was being a mean spirited sarcastic b!@tch about it.
Is’nt it funny how these day’s your word’s can run up and bite you in the a$$.
What I like about Obama is his voice, that’s about it. Edward’s is like the pompus high school quarter back that think’s he’s better than everyone else, that you’d like to take behind the bleacher’s and kick the sh!t out of.
Talk about your election year amnesia! Or is it just phonies on parade?
As for electioneering skills, bloghooligan nails it, Obama is drawing the worst out of the Klintons. And he does it with ease.
I better clarify my comments in #3.
If any Democratic nominee was foolish enough to pick Hillary as a running mate and was unlucky enough to win the general election, the Oval Office would have that Death Row vibe, regardless of the race, color, or creed of the president.
The Clinton’s are Equal Opporunity when it comes to removing obstacles from their path to power.
I am glad to see that Bill has finally decided to run for President. For awhile he was the dutiful spouse helping out but I see more of him now than her on all the shows.I guess he found out there is some real hate out there for his miss.Since he never got 50% of the vote maybe with both running they can each pull 25%,but I keep forgetting, they do know how to steal.
Newt finally used his last copy of the ‘Contract with America’ for TP.
I believe NOTHING this woman has to say. Her life’s meaning has all about the acquisition of power.
She’s akin to human solar panel except that she absorbs attention to run her huge freaking ego.
The only interest Democrats ever had in Reagan is: “how did he get elected twice and by such big margins? We gotta figure that out so we can do it too.” That’s it. The rest is all bulljive.
As for Mr. Obama, it would be nice if he would provide some specifics to back up his admiration, some indication that he has some awareness of what the late-lamented Reagan Revolution was all about. It wasn’t about hanging around a black-separatist church or having your media friends break into your opponent’s sealed divorced records to aid your campaign. So what was it? Inquiring minds want to know.
I don’t mean to single out the man, obviously Newt has now shown himself to the world to be as clueless, but I don’t see any need to spare him either.
This one could come back to bite them on their collective behinds! The only one to come out of this looking classy is Obama!
Silky and HRC seem to be saying,”How dare Obama have the same opinion as us. The nerve of that upstart.”
I just hope someone on the conservative side is keeping a list of everything they were for and then against, and vise-versa.
“I don’t mean to single out the man, obviously Newt has now shown himself to the world to be as clueless, but I don’t see any need to spare him either.”
Newt has gone further than that, he’s joined the demented moonbats who believe in the global warming mania, and think “man” is responsible for causing & controlling it! I’m still waiting for one of them to explain what we did to cause in on Mars, as well? Duh.
“cause IT on Mars”…really need to use the preview button more often.
And that’s exactly what’s going on here. It’s all about Bill. He wants this so bad, he’s starting to lose it.
Wow…both Edwards and Clinton have a lot of guts attacking a dead president! Guess what, whether they want to believe it or not, Reagan did change to world landscape for the better. It must really get under their skin that someone from their own party spoke well of him.
Exactly what one should expect from the “Klintons” … anything to get what they want … no matter who or what gets in the way …
The “submit or be trashed until you are made irrelevant” mantra is a perfect description of their philosphy …
BTW … every time I see someone spell the name with a “K” instead of a “C” I promptly think “Klingons” …
He has his pet mouse in his pocket.
Good one Sgt Tim! I am amazed at how many of the candidates from both sides of the aisle are invoking the sacred name of “Saint Ronny” as they try to fool us into voting for them.
Rodham’s crotch smelled like east LA now,
Every night, she made Slick pay and pay now,
Dropped her panties and spread her legs,
But he wouldn’t fertilize her eggs,
She said “hey babe, take a whiff of the wild side”

Your assesment of the Clintons is correct. They will do anything to get in power, because they feel that they are entitled to that power.
The Clintons and especially Hillary show the same character traits as most of the cult leaders of the 20th century.
When you compare Hillary to Jim Jones and Shoko Asahara of the Aum Shinrikyo cult that used sarin gas in the Tokyo subway attacks the similarities are striking. They all have narcissistic personalities. Their sense of entitlement is so strong that they can convince their followers to do anything no matter how unreasonable the idea sounds to those of us on the outside looking in. They can seem kind and caring to their followers, but will seek to destroy those that stand in the way. Hillary has shown this in her behavior many times, (white house travel office is one example). And we are seeing it more and more now that she
sees Obama as a real threat to her.
Which of the candidates are not Clintonists?
Seems they are all willing to compromise ethics for victory to varying degrees.
And number 20, that is beyond the pale.

I don’t care what your politics are but you really owe everyone here an apology!
June 5, 2004
Statement of Former President Bill Clinton and Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton on the Death of Former President Reagan:
Sounds like another positive comment to me.
Here’s a simple thought experiment:
Posit a universe where there exists an utterly evil power capable of granting a wish for the mere cost of a soul (or equivalent). Now seriously ask yourself: Which of the candidates can I imagine making such a deal in order to guarantee becoming President?
One, and only one, will come immediately to mind:
HR Clinton
And if there were more than one, the other(s) would be trampled in her frantic scurry to the head of the line.
Vince #20 Dittos. Classless and cluelees are liberal traits.
clueless, sorry!
The only apologies due are those owed by the Clintons to the American people for their very continued existence on the political landscape….I treat them both with the unbridled contempt they have both justly earned
He has a mouse in his pocket.
In a couple of days you’ll hear they were misqutoed. They actually meant they liked Reagan’s movies. Especally Bed time For Bonzo.
“We” must be Kucinich’s space pals.

The Clintons deserve all the venom that can be generated toward them…in any possible form….they are unworthy to be treated as what they are….your potential oppressors….be kind and nice to them if that is your wish….I do not treat my enemies with any such deference.
I’m not talking about the clintions butt-head I’m talking about your smutt laced tirade . I don’t care to read stuff like that, maybe I should go elsewhere. Our maybe you could try to be an adult on an adult web site.
Tell ya what, hot shot…if Michelle objects,I will apologize to HER…since this is HER blog site….so far she hasn’t objected….so take your indignation elsewhere….I didn’t use one cuss word in that entire post
I see, you will apologize if mommy tells you to, but not because your man enough to. Got It …Good Bye…
Michelle is not my ‘mommy’,doofus….and my ‘manhood’ as you choose to call it only extends to apologizing to MEN…face to face…if and when I actually say something that isn’t covered by the 1st Amendment…and the last time I checked, nobody died and left you in charge of determining what is and isn’t offensive… if you want my apology, then you have to earn it…not by just pretending you are offended like some PC lefty types who simply make a fetish of that…so if you are ‘man enough’,come see me in Houston and we will put on the gloves and climb in the ring and settle it according to Marquess of Queensbury rules….I boxed light heavyweight in the USAF and I will be more than happy to afford you the satisfaction you seem to think you deserve…16 oz gloves of course…so that you don’t get injured too badly

–A Great Communicator would never have fumbled the Dl for illgals 4 times in the span of minutes
–A Great Communicator would never had made such a cheezy Xmas ad, proposing to gift us with oodles of goodies if we’ll only fork over billions of more $$
–A Great Communicator doesn’t cackle
–A Great Communicator …

Unfortunately, I don’t remember their positive comment, but I do remember their disrespectful action. Bill/Hill dozing or otherwise preoccupied with boredom on live TV.
I have to hand it to BO for playing the Clintonistas like a kid with a laser pointer playing with a cat.
They never fail to pounce, only to come up empty handed, while BO “innocently” takes the high road.
