Meanwhile on our southern border
The bloody consequences of open borders, part 99,999,999:
A Border Patrol agent trying to stop a vehicle that had illegally entered the U.S. was struck and killed Saturday in southeastern California, agency officials said.
The agent was killed about 20 miles west of Yuma in the Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area, a spot along the border that is popular with off-road vehicle enthusiasts and frequently used by smugglers.
The agent attempted to impede the vehicle’s progress before he was hit, but the Border Patrol did not immediately have more information, said agent Eric Anderson, a spokesman for the agency’s Yuma sector.
The name of the agent killed was not immediately released because his family had not been notified.
Witnesses told the Yuma Sun newspaper that agents were chasing a Hummer and a Ford pickup on Interstate 8 when the vehicles turned into the dunes and fled toward Mexico. The agent was trying to place spike strips in their path and was struck by the Hummer, they said.

NOW can we build that fence?
How many American’s have to be killed in the border war’s before they actually enforce our immigration law’s.
The Fed’s act like this is a intersection study of how many get killed before they’ll put a light in.
Even one American is to much this is’nt a full out battle in the Middle East where we have casualty projections. Maybe and it is unlikley that someone will actually get into office and demand that our law’s be enforced. I can only hope.
Damn Bush…Maybe he should imprison that dead border agent…Let’ call the white house and recommend he do that!!! Traitorous Mexichurian pig that he is!!!
If Congress doesn’t ACT Fast, if I were that family, I’d sue the heck out of the government!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Makes me violently sick to my stomach.
We know that these illegals are everyone and we refuse to arrest and deport them. No wonder they keep coming over the border and killing citizens.
These violent illegal aliens are everywhere in the Washington area, but the police are too scared to do anything about it. They even have Hispanic police officers in Prince William County pulling over and warning U.S. citizens that THEY will be arrested for “harrassing” day laborers:

When the political cost becomes so great that even Ted Kennedy will start to get worried. Unfortunately the steady drip, drip, drip of casualities remains low enough for the MSM and both parties to ignore. My own guess is that maybe tens, more likely hundreds every day would have to die before our all-powerful, all-indifferent government would act.
Against Bush’s Wonderful Mexican Nanny who loved him so dearly when he was but a little boy that he promised . . . the gods themselves are helpless.
I am buying stock in a company that makes landmines… screw the fence.
The President and both sides of Congress have completely failed in their responsibility to defend our nation from foreign invasion.
WHEN WILL SOMEONE HOLD THESE PEOPLE ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE HARM THAT IS BEING DONE TO US VIA THE INVASION FROM MEXICO?
It’s astounding that the politicians continue to ignore the desire of the American people for an enforced border and legal immigration. They will pay dearly in the future for their stupidity because we aren’t going to forget their negligence.
Dr. Lead Based Paint,
Someone?
A sad day. May God Rest his Soul and comfort his family.
Is there a statement concerning this hero’s death from Harry Reid? From John “Shamnesty” McCain? From Lindsey “Bedwetter” Graham? From the White House???
What the hell are our elected officials doing? Not protecting us, that’s apparent.
Thanks, Gabe, hadn’t known the problem had escalated to this level. Hope someone in PWC will make a video and post it on YouTube.
On the brighter side, liberal Oregon passed tougher Driver’s License laws, but when I got mine in December about half the customers spoke no English. I am sure some were illegals trying to beat the deadline before the new law took effect.
We may have to form militias to combat the illegal invasion.
To arms, to arms…
Now you see politics in action. Lobbyists, special interest groups, campaign contributors; all swaying the politician to ignore the immigration problem. Money and votes. You would think any sane person would want to enforce the border, but when strong influences come into play, opinions change and excuses come. Counties say it’s a state problem, states say it’s a federal problem, and so on and so forth, ad nauseum. It’s unfortunate, but it’s become the “3rd rail” in politics. No-one wants to touch it. Some terrorists will sneak over the border and launch another 9/11. Then the politicians will point fingers at each other, accusing each other of ignoring the problem, and showing how they tried to solve it. It always happens that way, and Americans will say, “oh, ok”.
The Border Patrol Agents appear to be hesitant to use deadly force to defend themselves. With people like Johnny Sutton infesting the DOJ I sure they fear prosecution for trying to defend their lives. Does the average American have to rise up and take the law into their own hands to make the crapweasels in DC to take notice? Patience is growing pretty thin in the Western US for our laws to be enforced.
I think there’s a vast right winged conspiracy to kill off all US citizens by illegals…..that way the liberal lunatics will have everything like they want it to be.
Almost like hitmen isn’t it?
Their bonus? Free everything.
I meant to add vast left-winged as well.
Boomer, the American people have that right. That was the whole point expressed by the Founding Fathers, the Declaration of Independence, and the Constitution. Unfortunately, it has been twisted and distorted so much, that no-one knows what’s right or what’s wrong. We have “living, breathing” documents now and attacks on the 2nd amendment. When the American people finally say that enough is enough is enough, will the government listen. We have so many illegals in this country, it has become a “comedian’s joke”. Even the candidates for President, push it off with some sort of “yes, we’ll do something.” Meanwhile, the illegals taunt us and live off of our resources. They are winning the war, and we don’t even know we are at war. No, we’re too busy with our desires for government care and our own lives to care about anything happening in our counties and states.
Meanwhile in Houston, TX, there is a national conference for the National Network for Immigrant and Refugee Rights going on this weekend. Our esteemed Rep Sheila Jackson Lee was there. Per the Austin American Statesman:
Declaring we can be civilly disobedient.
Pre conference Chronicle article.
This is how the crapweasels in DC are taking notice.
Now there is legal reason to impeach Bush…he is not protecting the citizenry, he has broken his oath of office again. Ba$tard and I voted for the scum bucket twice…what does that say about our choices to lead the country.
Sutton going to give visa’s to the drivers(killers)…might, he’s Jorges good friend.
My heart goes out to the family of the downed boarder agent.
Impeach him for what, rightisright? Do you even know what an impeachment is? It isn’t a conviction. Do you imply that the robbers try and convict the “thief”? What is with you people that think the government is some sort of one man show? I haven’t seen one person come out and suggest that the Supreme Court could do an awful lot to settle this question too. Perfectly simple. Accept an illegal case and rule that they “gotta go”. Heck, the Supreme Court has done even worse.
We don’t need any more laws for border enforcement-we need the laws on the books to be enforced.
Where were Senators Isakson, Kyl, Cornyn, Vitter and Pryor when Sen. Hutchison gutted (in Dec. 07) the Secure Fence Act?
The Secure Fence Act was written by Duncan Hunter and became law.
I’m with one of the other commentors-it’s time for land mines.
I don’t know who to be angry with anymore! They are all crooked. They say the right things only to screw you in the end. DOES ANYONE IN CONGRESS UNDERSTAND WHAT IS IN THE CONSTITUTION THAT THEY SWEAR TO UPHOLD?
They put up traffic cams to save ONE life. (It’s a sham).
They try to take our guns to save ONE life. (It’s a control).
They block oil drilling to save ONE fish. (It’s a sham).
But they won’t enforce the laws that can save ONE country. (They are in cahoots with the enemy).
Not this year, Lars. They’re all scrambling around for positions in their parties, because it’s a big election year. They certainly can’t be bothered with a death of a border agent, unless they have to show some brief remorse for the cameras.
graysonret — The Supremes can’t do anything until a case gets to them. Bush carries the can for this, just as he does for the shameful and illegal treatment of Agents Ramos and Compean and Deputy Gil Hernandez. When the “Decider” violates his oath of office and leaves his own citizens hung out to dry — or dead — because he favors Mexicans over Americans, he needs to be removed from power.
There are plenty of Senators and Representatives who need to go right along with him, as well as appointed pitbulls like Johnny Sutton.
There is not one trustworthy presidential candidate on this issue — from either party — except for the late Duncan Hunter.
How much farther does the criminal activity have to escalate before the people rise and demand that our laws be enforced by the scum in DC?
Well put MrScribbler. Behind you 100%.
Retired LEO.
Too bad we don’t have a patriotic president–someone like BiBi Netanyahu, who would be pushing settlements into Mexico and grabbing their land.
Our politicians are so corrupt and arrogant–it’s just like some of those African or third world nations.
Have to put most of the blame on the sheeple though, with whom the issue isn’t resonating. Seems like they have been conditioned by PC to put diversity above rule of law and sovereignty.
United States Constitution second amendment reads; “A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.”
So what if this well regulated militia of US citizens were to position themselves on the US borders?
I remember back in the 50’s Nikita Khrushchev said from the UN podium he would bury us. I dont remember his saying he would do it with illegal Mexicans.
They would be publicly denigrated by our public officials and the press, just like the Minutemen were.
There’s a thought: a one hundred mile buffer zone. Maybe Mexico will sit up and take notice of that!
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.
But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.
‘Nuff said!
I know that area well. We use to drive down that road to the beach in Mexico. I have never seen any border patrol from the US or Mexico along that route. It was an easy way to drive in an out of Mexico.
