The MSM declare Rush dead…again
Here are two things the liberal media desperately want to be true:
1) John McCain’s inevitable GOP presidential victory.
2) Rush Limbaugh’s demise.
Wrong on both counts, as usual.
Despite a nasty-sounding bug, a gravelly-voiced Limbaugh took to the airwaves this afternoon to rightly mock the Washington Post’s premature obituary of conservatives who’ve gone after John McCain.
“McCain hasn’t won anything yet,” Limbaugh correctly noted–a fact underscored by those Rasmussen numbers in Florida, where Republicans (Republicans only, that is) will get to choose their presidential pick.
Conservatives have never let the MSM choose who speaks for them and who represents them.
It’s no time to let them do so now.

What better way to fight tough competition than to declare them dead?!
They’ve been trying to do the same thing to several of the political candidates as well….the Ronulans immediately come to mind.
Damn the torpedoes and the media, full speed ahead!
Well his voice is kind of shot today.
Now, the lame stream media are but one voice of many courtesy of Algore’s wonderful contribution (sarc on full) of the Internet.
We each have a little teleprompt bull horn with which we can counter the BS!
Once Again..Thank You Michelle….
HEY! The Left Angeles Times has a job opening for it’s editor. Seems James O’Shea got fired because he refused to cut the newsroom budget.
Yeah, as the dinosaur media watches the incoming meteor (plummeting subscriptions and advertising revenue) they might as well get in a few looney declarations. ROFLOL!!!
The main stream media should look in the mirror. They are ones who are dying! Not Rush, not conservatism.
As for McCain, the darling of the MSM, to hell with him. I’d rather be waterboarded than actively support him as a candidate.
Wasn’t Florida the place where Ron Paul would make his great splash as well? Haven’t we been told by the Paulites, “Just wait until Florida” for months now?
Five percent is all Ron has to show for his efforts now. Hopefully this means that the Paulies will stop slamming online polls and spamming forums like this.
Mega Dittos!
It ain’t over ’til it’s over… who said that? Anyway, the shape of things to come is becoming increasingly evident with the latest Siena College Poll:
http://www.newsday.com/news/local/politics/ny-bc-ny–nyprimary0121jan21,0,5438581.story?coll=ny_home_rail_headlines
As usual, they are floating rumors they so desperately want to be true. The MSM pundits do not want any competition. They are wrong. AGAIN!
Limbaugh 4 President!
Meat - I hate to interject some cold, hard reality into your fantasy, but I had a whole heap of cold, hard reality come crashing into mine this weekend. Paul has finished significantly behind every candidate (save the dearly-departed Duncan Hunter) that put more than a token effort into a particular state every single time. Worse for you guys, in an effective 2-way race between your guy and Romney in Nevada, that trouncing was almost a 4-1 one.
As for the death of conservatism, I’m all-but-ready to write that obit (I’m merely waiting for the official announcement from Thompson, due tomorrow). Even if one were to include Romney and Paul in the “conservative” camp, the liberals have massively outpolled the moderate-to-conservatives in the “Republican” primaries and caucii.
It’s the bloggers fault ….. No Wait! It’s Bush’s fault …….. Awwww, we’ll find someone to blame.
A lot of evangelicals and Catholics got suspicious of Huckabee as the MSM kept promoting him. Criticism by Laura Ingraham and Rush Limbaugh on talk radio really did sink him. Talk radio is very relevant–a lot more than the MSM for conservatives deciding who to vote for.
Mitt Romney seems to have gotten a surge of support from Ann Coulter endorsing him, Ann Coulter being another one, like Rush, whose demise of influence the MSM so desperately wishes for that it keeps wrongly calling it.
Stevie, believe the polls if you will, but to do so is at your own peril.

To paraphrase Ann Coulter: Pay attention to which Republicans the MSM seem to like (McCain & Huckabee), and which they seem to criticize (Romney); that should tell you lots!
Oh yes, the MSM is trying so hard to get McCan’t nominated, ignoring Romney, etc.
But is anyone really listening? Rush has 20 million listeners, and the MSM networks have a puny fraction of that. Newspapers and cable much less.
#12, shhhh, I’m trying to hear Rush.
The only polls I believe are the ones reported by the various states’ Secretaries of State or elections boards (as the case may be), as they’re the only polls that matter. They haven’t exactly been kind to either your man or mine.
How much market cap has the NYT/wp/boston globe lost?
How much circulation lost?
Sounds like Geraghty has over dosed on MSM. And since when should a Rasmussen poll and Drudge be disregarded. Mitt has a 25% lead over McVain (25% vs 20%).
McCain is the only Republican Presidential candidate that absolutely scares the heck out of me. He is arrogant and unpredictable - and would probably pick Liebermann as his VP. The result would be complete chaos in the Republican Party.
.
Romney-Hunter is my ticket.
By the way what is msm anyway? A new blog or medication?…
Talk about recycling old news. Rush has been declared dead annually for 20 years.
Future presidential ticket: HRottenClintoon/McTraitor orrrr
McAmnesty/H Rotten Clintoon A bi-partisan ticket
serfer62, msm is an earth-bound spirit that is in denial of it’s passing.
#19, indeed, which is why I pay no heed to the polls or the lame stream talking craniums!
For the craniums are full of mush….
Unfortunately, yes, they have. And since people like Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levine, Sean Hannity, Mike Church, and Andrew Wilkow won’t actually come out and ENDORSE any one candidate (much less the truly Conservative ones), then the sheeple will continue to get their information from the idiot-box.
We’re all supposed to be fairly enlightened Conservatives, but honestly, our numbers are a drop in the bucket compared to the people who don’t comment here.
If Thompson bows out, I’m turning in my Republican Man-Card. I’ll be forming the Conservative political party, because the Republican party no longer represents my ideals.
I’m slower than the average i’m sure, but i do not understand why cross over votes and independents are allowed to vote in primaries…seems to me that only distorts what the actual party vote would be. Where would McNasty be if only party votes counted…going back to AZ maybe?
I will admit it sure gives the MSM ammo for their anti-republican message.
#23
Mainstream media is MSM. I’m not sure if you were being sarchastic, so there’s your answer.
Rush will be “dead” when he himself declares it. That’s not going to happen until everyone agrees with him. Don’t hold your breath libs! Then again…
They already have. Fred Thompson has gone down to defeat mostly because the MSM continually repeated the notion that he couldn’t win. Conservatives consistently admitted that Thompson was the best choice for President, but chose instead to allow the MSM to convince them they were better off voting for one of the “non-conservative GOP candidates.
Good job suckers!
I don’t wish Rush any personal harm, but I do wish he would take his hateful screed off the air.
As for the Republican nominee, people are starting to figure out who has any sense of honor and decency. It sure isn’t Giuliani (Kerik) or Romney (candicate of change) or Huck (push poll). You might not like McCain-Feingold or his former position on illegal immigration, but compare him to the others before condemning him.
This is my first post, as you can see. I have been reading posts for months from MM, HA and just now have the nerve to do this. I am so sorry about Fred, I sure hope he doesn’t get out. It is a shame there are so many voting citizens, not illegals or dead ones, who are so un-informed about our country and what the goverments duties are.
I have voted R for as long as I have been voting, many moon’s, and this year is a bummer for our choices!
I have got to ask a question from someone, what does ‘dhimmi’ stand for or mean?
Thanks
L
and put it on TV for 3 hour’s.
Ok, this goes to prove that McCain is a RINO if lgm (aka troll) likes him then we all know we have no choice but to vote against him. Rush just went thru all of the candidates and commented on them and had a guest talk about them before that. All should read the transcript of the show tomorrow.
Gee, what hateful screed are you talking about? Do you ever listen to Rush or just read what media matters says he said? I’ve listened to him since 1991 and have never heard him be hateful. You may not agree with anything he says and that’s fine, but to refer to him as hateful is a little ridiculous.
I haven’t heard any personal hatred on Rush’s show in the seventeen years I’ve listened to him. Of course, it helps to actually listen to his show rather than read MediaMatters take on what Rush says.
lgm, “You might not like McCain-Feingold or his former position on illegal immigration, but compare him to the others before condemning him.”
Been there, done that, don’t like him.
Hateful screed? Screed? What is a screed?, is it kinda like a quiche?
Mule! dang it! where is that mule?
Oh there you is…
lgm, yawn…
Those who call themselves “true conservatives” or say they will only support someone who matches their “pure conservative ideals” are the ones who might cost us the Presidency and have already cost us both houses of Congress. Don’t you get it? We are Republicans first. We lean conservative, but will not identify as “true conservatives,” which we see as so exclusive. The idea of a “pure” conservative sounds way too much like the ideas of creating some master pure race. It turns off Republicans as it does those on the other side. If you want all that “purity,” go to church or find a saint to glorify. Don’t look to politics. This pie in the sky idea of a “pure conservative” is a sure loser. Go ahead and stay home from the polls, but all you’ll get for that effort is someone who doesn’t even lean conservative (Hillary, Obama, McCain) and who will actively undo all that you are so adamant you won’t live without. What are you going to do, pull an Alec Baldwin and make threats about leaving the country? Will you destroy the next Republican president the way you’ve actively joined with dems and the MSM to destroy President Bush?
Go Mitt!
Awwww man, someone tell me what a screed is…
I wish Thompson was doing better.
brooklyn red, I think Mule is busy on another thread.

No, I am not. To steal one of Wilkow’s lines: Patriot first, Conservative second, Republican third. I will not continue to vote for the big (R) if the candidates do not match my political views. Three issues I refuse to compromise on are National Security, Illegal Immigration, and 2nd Amendment Rights. If a candidate doesn’t match my views on those three issues, it is doubtful they will match my views on anything else, and they are not worth my vote.
Everyone likes a winner. I am reminded here of a friend. He use to be a die hard Cowboys fan. Of course, that was when they were winning. Today, he sports a Patriots theme. There is no doubt in my mind that, should the Giants win the Super Bowl, his first comment will be ‘well, I have always liked the Giants’. Within a week, he will be sporting a new Giants cap.
Though many fans support their teams through thick and thin. It is apparent that winning teams have a larger fan base than losing ones.
Are voters much different? If they are told only the cube can win, will many of them support the cube over the round?
My own opinion, if you tell someone often that they are stupid. Pretty soon, they are.
This method is tried and true. The MSM will push the popularity of its’ chosen candidate to run against Clinton. They will sell him lock stock and barrel, only to destroy him once the nomintation are in.
I refuse to be a media lemming. Go Fred.
# 45, I agree 100%.
That is what a R use to stand for.
red, screed is a loud rant, kind of like those that Hillary does behind the scenes to her bootlickers.

Well, my grandmother had a name for people like you - those who cut off their nose to spite their face.
brooklyn red
From Merriam-Webster
Main Entry: screed
Pronunciation: \ˈskrēd\
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English screde fragment, alteration of Old English screade
Date: circa 1789
1 a: a lengthy discourse b: an informal piece of writing (as a personal letter) c: a ranting piece of writing
2: a strip (as of a plaster of the thickness planned for the coat) laid on as a guide
3: a leveling device drawn over freshly poured concrete
Hope that helps …
Pal2Pal: A simple question my friend. Who do we ignore?
The Republican party is made up of several different factions. Some want Christian morals, some want fiscal responsibility, some want limited government, others a fair tax system. Some want fair laws, a solution to the immigration problem, a solution to social security, welfare, unemployment, the shifting of jobs overseas, unfair trade practices, etc… many, like myself, want several of these things and while many have made promises, only one candidate that has offered it, has a proven track record of supporting it.
The conservative movement has many supporting positions. Though many remain ignored at present, there is no reason they cannot be addressed for the future. McCain is big on security, Huckabee scores big on Christian values, Romney hits the fiscal issues. None of them score high on immigration.
Concerning these four big issues at present. I refuse to believe that we cannot elect a candidate that scores big on all four.
Go Fred
Apparently written by a McCain or Huckabee supporter!
Of course the MSM would like to declare Rush Limbaugh dead! They hope that bit of made-up news catches hold like some of the other anti-GOP stuff they make up.
Rush Limbaugh, Hot Air, Michelle Malkin, and RedState are the only places I’m now getting my news. Weaned myself from Fox back in November. Done with them and, in fact, I now lump them in with MSM. It saves me keystrokes that way.
Archon#44 Exactly,my view.
I have a spot for you here in the Philippines. I despise what my government and my nation have become. I am an American and my rights are clear. The Constitution makes clear where MY government may or may not proceed. If they were true Republicans they would stand up for our nation and not some baseless political ideology that depends on whatever stance their high-dollar lobbyists assume.
To vote for ANYONE who would deviate from the Constitution of this Great (Independent but) United States of America is a vote against the very principles upon which this great Nation was founded.
For anyone to compromise is NOT a defense of ANY enemies, foreign Sir, OR domestic!
If I must lose my nose to save what is of more value and importance, so be it.
I would rather ‘loose my nose to spite my face’ than loose my head to those who would just love to whop it off. We need a President who understand what this country is up against. I don’t want a pander as all but Fred seems to be.
Go Fred
Dumb ? for those in the know.
Can Hillbillary appoint Bill as her VP???????????????
Dare she if she could?
letget, a dhimmi is (what amounts to) a second class citizen under islamic rule. That is, if you are a non-believer (read Christian, Jew, Hindu etc.) in a country governed by islamist, and you wish to keep your head and your religion you must pay a tax (jizah) and basically follow islamic traditions, living as a second class citizen.
I would highly recommend reading Robert Spencer’s “Blogging the Qu’ran” series at Hot Air. It is excellent.
I can’t say I’ve listened to Rush much at all since I first heard of him. His style in which it’s all him and virtually no guests except for listener callers doesn’t much appeal to me, though I loved his short-lived TV show (which he quit, he had a huge viewership - he should do another show rich with video clips again; wonderful!).
All that said, everyone in the US owes Limbaugh an enormous debt of gratitude for the very same reasons liberals hate him. No point in detailing them, we all know, but one thing the MSM should remember: Conservatives are fighters, and Rush has seldom been more revitalized than on those occasions when the mainstream media has pronounced him irrelevent. Which they always do in election cycles, by the way. Nice guys, those liberal “fairness doctorine”, “world peace” types, eh?
Americans love an underdog, and each time they go after Limbaugh they make him an underdog again, and up go his ratings. It’s a lesson about the price for undisciplined hate, but the liberals hate conservatives too much to learn it. Which I guess is a good thing, because we always win when they act that way.
44, thank you.
51, thank you. I like sauteed, too.
52, “people like you” got it… jerky.
hope you don’t go to my gym, Ew.
53, thank you. it helps.
All, Wilkow ain’t so bad…
Thanks Zorro.
I read Jihad Watch every day. Also on HA. I’ve seen that term numerous times and had no idea what it pertained to.
L
letget, Zorro is spot on, but let me add, assuming you are male… if not, oh well.
I much prefer Laura Ingraham to Rush. Rush has too much ego for me. Laura has more guests and presents an interesting show.
I don’t think people should be able to change party affiliation on election day, vote, and then switch back. Primaries are suppose to be a party thing. If you are an Independent or a Democrat, you should not be able to have a say in the selection of the Republican party candidate. It opens the whole process to manipulation. I lived in NH for a long time and that state’s primary rules leave it open to lots of cross over voting which is not right. I guess we will see in Florida which candidate
Republicans prefer.
#64.
I can not imagine anything worse than being born a female in a ‘m’ country. You can see in the news every day what happens. On Jawa report today, they had a horrible thing on mulitation of girls in the ‘m’ countries. It seems this might be coming to Britian, Canada, and soon us if this isn’t stopped and let the ‘m’ get their way here.
L
I missed most of Rush today, but this part I did hear before the Spurs interrupted the programming. Bottom line, they just wish he were dead!
#35:
Good thinking.
#36:
yes.
Maybe there are two of them?
#38:
Yes, real men don’t do either. Rush must not be a real man.
#55:
nope, Obama.
Like a liberal who only reads Kos, don’t want to hear something you don’t already believe.
“We are Republicans first”
Sure would be nice if Mcain was as well. Remember he said he liked the Dems way of doign things when toying around being Kerry’s running mate? Remember McCain-feingold? McCain Kennedy amnesty? McCain-Lieberman giving the UN power over the US for global warming?
McCain is a RINO. So not falling in line behind him hardly makrs anyones departure fromthe party - it marks the party’s departure from Republcian values.
“We are Republicans first”
Not really.
Many of us are conservatives first. Thats what brought us to the party of Ideas, the Party of Reagan - and why we feel abandoned now by Bush, McCain, Graham, etc.
If you want us to blindy follow the party line no maatter how badly the party sells us out on our ideals, you have mistaken us for Democrats.
The Country Club Repubs like porkers and elitists in Lott, Stevens, Graham, etc, have been counting on us to sell out our principles and be a “Republican” first, no matter how much damage they do to the nation. they expect us to basically do what “our betters in DC” tell us to do.
That time has ended. I, for one, amd tired of the abuse, and will now go back to being a Conservative in the mold of Wm F. Buckley,Standing athwart history, yelling STOP!
STOP the GOP as it becomes more big government.
STOP the GOP and its drift to open borders.
STOP the GOP and its kowtowing to the hoax known as athropogenic global warming.
STOP the GOP as it become more nanny statist (vice individualst).
STOP the GOP as it becomes, yes, more liberal.
McCain, Huckbee, Guiliani, Country Club Republicans… here is a message from us Reagn Republicans, the Sam’s Club Repubs…
STOP!
Pardon my dyslexia and letter swapping above. I dont have a spellcheck at hand at the moment.
Uggh, that beeping sound… is lgm near a school again?
Dude, (male, yes?) calm down. You probably have a valid point or two, but you need to work on delivery. You don’t get people to listen to you by pissing them off.
Try posing your thoughts as questions, rather than attacks… this could work.
lgm, your cutting and pasting skills are great, but still waiting for your examples of Rush’s hate screed. I’d like to know how often you listen to Rush. You claim to know these things, so I’m curious as to how many hours a day you listen? Links to media matters don’t count. I’ll only accept legitimate sources.
I know some of you are going to tell me “don’t feed the troll”, but I’m sort of tired of this posting of nonsense and lies, then not backing it up.
Oh and quoting other people’s posts and trying to make a “funny” out of them isn’t your strong suit. Leave the laughs to Alohaguy. He’s hilarious!
navywife91, Shhhhh, we are not ready to take the “talking to girls” step yet.
The Death of the GOP
The nomination of McCain, Huckabee or possibly Guiliani for the ‘08 election will spell the death of the Grand Old Party. It is virtually certain that a conservative will not get the nomination. I predict a new third party by the ‘12 election and that the GOP will cease to exist by ‘16. More than one year go Rush Limbaugh gave Hillary Clinton an 85% chance of being the next President. As usual, I believe that Rush shall be proved correct again. In fact, if McCain or Huckabee is selected, I predict a drubbing of historic proportions on the scale of Reagan vs Mondale. I don’t believe that McCain or Huckabee would even win one state. Conservatives will stay home by a margin of 70%, as will I. Rush said today that the GOP will cease to be the home of conservatives and I believe him.
What led us to this point? Too many Republicans have opted for pragmatism over principle. Compromising one’s principles will always sow the seeds of destruction. Some years ago Rush got livid with me for refusing to vote for Ed Zshau for Senator. Rush was young then. He didn’t forsee where compromising conservative principles would lead us. I believe that we have to go back to a time long before the ‘06 election. Conservative philosophy triumphed in the ‘94 election, where the GOP wrested control of Congress for the first time in 40 years. Unfortunately, it did not take long for the freshman of ‘94 to trade principle for power. As fallen men they soon became corrupted. I believe that this happened because they had no leadership to keep them true to conservative pronciples after Gingrich was driven from power. This was as much a result of his own arrogance and stupidity as it was the efforts of his political enemies in government and the media. Pride comes before a fall.
The void of conservative leadeship opened the door for the moderates, the apologists. Along came George W. Bush, the “compassionate” conservative. He more than any other is responsible for the death of the GOP. He sucked in evangelicals with his talk of being born again. I cannot judge his relationship with Christ, but I can judge his politics. He was and is a liberal. He trusted Teddy Kennedy and the liberals in the state department and the CIA. What a fool! Of course he would trust them, he is one of them - northeastern, blue blooded, skull and bones, liberal, guilt ridden Episcopalian, just like his father - read my (lying) lips. Meanwhile, his liberal brothers in the Democrat, Republican (McCain) party and the bureaucracy plotted his destruction. He had committed the un-pardonable sin: pandering to conservative Christians. His success at deceiving the evangelical right gave courage and inspiration to another Arkansas sheister.
As his enemies plotted his destruction, he went about his merry clue-less way of presiding over the largest growth of the federal government in history. He opened up the candy store. H e was smart to propose a temporary tax cut that was successful in bringing economic recovery. But, because he lacks conservative principles, he never intended the cuts to be permanent and even with a majority in Congress for six years failed to make them permanent. He curried the favor of big business by keeping the flow of illegal cheap labor coming at an ever faster pace. This, in spite of the obvious national security risk and the harmful consequences to our culture. He attempted, against the will of the people, to codify the status of the new slave labor class. The Bush doctrine, born out of our national security laxity, died at Tora Bora and Bush praised Islam as a great religion of peace- how open-minded and tolerant of him. Why, he is almost as sophisticated as Jacques Chirac.
We allowed George W. Bush, more than anyone, to re-define conservatism. The people see the results of his policies and resoundingly say “no thanks.” And because he is a “conservative”, they throw the baby out with the bath water. We’re getting what we deserve: a choice between a communist and a liberal. I will not play. It is time for a new national party that represents true conservative principles and does not seek to be all things to all people.
Pal2Pal, while I’m sure your grandmother is a wonderful and virtuous lady, let’s leave her and her name calling out of this.
If my nose were cancerous, I would cut it off to save what remains of the masterpiece that is my face (slight ego stroke). Same thing if I were to get gangrene in my foot…I’d gladly lop off the foot to save the leg, and my life. You do not allow contamination to spread, just to save appearances. So I’ll say it again:
Patriot first. Individual Conservative second. Republican third.
riccola,
Bravo, (stands and claps hands)
The proper order is:
God
Family
Country
Party is further down the list.
You know lgn, comparing Michelle malkin to the Daily Kos really is an amazing nsolt to the host. I hope you get chucked out for your grossly inconsiderate rants against the virtual sum total participants of this board.
It would be one thing if you were itellectually honest, but like one or two others, you’re just a liberal troublemaker having malicious fun at the cost of good will and valuable bandwidth. It’ll be a good day for this place when you go *poof*.
nsolt = insult. My bad.
LGM,, LGM We are still waiting for examples of Rush’s hate. What are they specifically and can you name any hateful things he has said the last year?. I am also still waiting LGM for what the democrats would do in Iraq and what is their plan. I know from 04 that Kerry had no plan. Do the Demos favor us to go under Islam law? Do you think because withdrawing from Iraq will force the terrorists to go back being peaceful? Most Americans do not want to live under Muslim law and we are wondering what the demo alternatiaves are. Please answer quickly.
LGM what do you think of Keith Obermans sp. hatred. Wasn’t he rather hateful to Fred Thompson Saturday night?
Thank You, Thank You very much
Elvis has left the building.
LGM won’t answer. He’s like (or may even be) Flenser. I’m still waiting for Flenser to answer a question that he promised he would if I answered his first. I did. It’s been 3 1/2 months and counting and Flenser has been all over the board saying things like he’ll vote for Hillary before McCain, but still hasn’t kept his word on the other thread. Scumbag.
These guys are trolls. Laugh at them, for they are clowns.
People, this is crazy!!! We spite ourselves staying home out of sour grapes because our guy and pol philosophy wasn’t nominated! Social programs — however massive — once launched have never been rolled back or eliminated no matter what party’s in office, and the Dems have openly declared their intents to create whopper entitlement programs that will nuke your wages and standard of living FOR GENERATIONS (think of that while you’re pissed at Republican nominees in the here and now!). At least we can exert SOME control with the “worst” of Republicans getting in, but if Hill does our chances are zero and kiss the FICA in your paycheck from being as “low” as is now ever again! PLEASE DON’T STAY HOME and shoot your and your grandchildren in the foot in Nov! Simmer down and hold your nose and vote for our nominee!
James Greenidge

HERE! HERE! or HEAR! HEAR! whichever the case may be, or BOTH! for that matter!
They could waterboard me, or make me do without medical attention for broken bones for three days, and I still would not support McCain the Liberal Candidate, or vote for him, either.
No, not at all! I’m going to vote. just not for McCain - no matter what!
And I’m not spiting myself or the Conservatives or the Nation of the United States of America to withold MY vote from McCain, or Rudi, or Fred, or Huckleberrry… I’m just spiting the Lame Stream Media, and the RINOS and Liberal SOCIALISTS.
They don’t need my blessing to wreak havoc on this nation, they’ll do it fine without my blessing.
EITHER WAY.
But anyone is crazy if they think I’m going to look at myself inthe mirror every single day and and cuss myself for what McCain is doing in the Oval Office, like his McCain Feingold, or his Anti-Torture bill, or his scandalizing of Abu Ghraib and Gitmo, his McCain Kennedy SHAMNESTY bill, with me living here in the shadow of the Mexican/American border patrol OPEN WARFARE being ignored in Washington DC - and McCain insulting the Military all the time with his half-baked tie-their-hands-behind-their-backs kind of “support”.
You all know ahead of time, if you vote for McCain, half the GOP won’t vote with you.
He got his last Senate Election win via DIM CROSSOVER VOTES while the ARIZONA GOP CAUCUS unanimously CENSURED him.
You can blow a hole in the guts of America WITHOUT MY VOTING for such crass stupidity as to endorse and sanction allowing the DIM CROSSOVER VOTERS to choose the GOP candidate AS THEY DID WITH GERALD FORD, thank you. IF McCain is who you want to cast yourself with - you are more than welcome to him.
The “Choice” between a Communist and a Liberal is no choice at all - they are the identical same thing:
GET OUT OF THE BOX! FAST!
Sorry, it has already arrived. Mark Steyn has some articles including that several women he knows wear burkhas when walking in their own home neighborhoods in places like England and Netherlands, because of gangs of young muslim men calling them whores, prostitutes, uncovered meat, etc, and they fear for their lives when they have to walk alone. Women have been killed there, in Germany, Canada and America for muslim honor killings, because of dress and who they associate with - and white women have been gang-raped and mutilated in Australia for daring to go to the beaches in bikinis, at least one life guard killed for daring to defend one of the women from that treatment - some reporters have covered the fact that FEMALE JUDGES in Australia have REDACTED COURT DOCUMENTS to hide the fact that rapists were muslims and victims were white non-muslims, to hide the rate of racial violence from the press and the communities.
I was reading those articles regularly on the internet two years ago.
It’s PAST time to wake up to that danger.
One of the European countries is going to start running a film documentary on TV to fight against the islamicization of their nation, tomorrow, a nation that has NO NATIVE MUSLIM population - I forget which one, but I just read the article about it a couple of hours ago.
In America, before 9/11, we had a scant few hundred mosques in America, in the one year afterwards, we got tens of thousands of new mosques all over the USA, most were Wahabi, most were imams and populations of ILLEGAL ALIENS, a majority of whom came up from Mexico.
Michelle Malkin is one of the first reporters I heard discussing THIS fact about our border security problems in that vein.
Front Page Magazine also carries those reports, as well as Little Green Footballs and My Pet Jawa.
James: dead on target.
Ombre rose,
Pardon me not mincing my words, but you’ve been plenty tough on others, so I’m assuming you can take it as well as you dish it out:
You can spite yourself all you want, but James is right. If you stay home you’re being incomprehensibly selfish by allowing the country to be hurt because of your childish, ideologically driven temper tantrum.
Calling anyone who stays home and “withholds’ their vote unpatriotic and not fulfillig their patriotic duty doesn’t do justice to their unconscionable selfishness. This means you.
You can figuratively spite whatever voices in your head are tormenting you at the moment, but your behavior if you do contribute to the hurting of millions of your fellow citizens (that’s what’s at stake this time around) is beneath contempt and you can see that the next time you look in the mirror. You’re threats of not voting won’t make the nominee more conservative, and I hope that’s all they are - threats. I’d hate to think anyone could be so into themselves as to put millions of innocent lives at risk at a time of terrorist warfare by sitting out their patriotic duty to their country, and doing so over an idealistic hissy fit.
Childish. Vindictive. Unpatriotic. If those words appeal to you then by all means, be my guest and shirk your patriotic responsibility. To your neighbors. To your kids. To our military. To the future. And I’m sure you’ll sit stewing and feel everso aggrandized for it.
I’m in Archon, where do we sign up?
Romney-Hunter is my ticket.
Dittos, surfer62. That’s my kind of ticket!!
Rush has his voice back.
Rush can only be killed by stabbing him in the heart with the ancient bone saber of Zumakalis.
John McCain? Wasn’t he one of the Keating Five?
Is that your idea of honor and decency?
